AFTER I POINTED THIS OUT HEPL RESEVERALLED THE BOOK THIS WILL ADULT SECTION AND THEY ADMITTED THAT IT WAS NEVER SHELFED APPROPRIATELY IN THE FIRST PLACE BUT NO ONE WAS HELD ACCOUNTABLE. AFTER A YEAR AS AN ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL IN AVON DANIELLE BECAME A PRINCIPAL IN NEW CASTLE AND THEN SHE RETURNED TO HER HOME DISTRICT, IT IS HER HOME DISTRICT BECAUSE DANIELLE IS A 1992 GRADUATE OF HFC HIGH SCHOOL. ASSUMING THE POSITION AS PRINCIPAL AT LANTERN ROAD ELEMENTARY IN 2024, WHERE SHE JUST COMPLETED HER 18TH YEAR IN IS THAT ROLE.

WHILE AT LRE, THEY HAVE BEEN IN SCHOOL ANNUAL IN HER TENURE AND SHE HAS EARNED THE RECOGNITION AS ISSP DISTRICT FIVE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER OF THE YEAR. DANIELLE HAS EARNED HER MASTERS IN ELEMENTARY CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION AND EDUCATIONAL SPECIALIST DEGREE AND IS CURRENTLY ON HER WAY TO COMPLETING HER DOCTORAL DEGREE FROM INDIANA UNIVERSITY.

DANIELLE BRINGS INTO THIS ROLE A WELLTH OF EXPERIENCE AS SHE HAS BEEN A MEMBER OF MANY COMMITTEES IN OUR DISTRICT, FULL DAY PLANNING AND DISTRICT DISCUSSION TEAM.

SHE HAS SERVED A IT HAS ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL REPRESENTATIVE FOR STUDENT HAND BOOKS SINCE 2006.

SOME RECENT AND UPCOMING LIBRARY HIGHLIGHTS, CONSTRUCTION UPDATE AND ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE.

KIND OF BY THE NUMBERS OUR OPERATING BUDGET NINE AND A HALF MILLION DOLLARS, TAX RATE, BOND RATE I'M SURE IT DOESN'T INTEREST MOST PEOPLE HERE BUT I'M SURE YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT A LOT. IN 2021 WE HAD ALMOST 300 -- ALMOST 400,000 VISITORS GO THROUGH THE BUILDINGS, OUR 2021 CIRCULATION OVER 2 MILLION. WE HAVE TWO LOCATIONS ONE IN NOBLESVILLE AND ONE IN DOWNTOWN FISHERS.

SQUARE FOOTAGE ROUGHLY OVER 200,000.

WE'RE NOT GOING A LOT OF ADDITIONAL ADDITION WORK, A LOT OF WORK ON THE SITE. WE HAVE 342,000 ITEMS IN THE LIBRARY SO THERE'S A LOT OF BOOKS AND VIDEOS IN THERE.

WE ARE KIND OF GETTING BACK TO PRE-PANDEMIC LEVELS OF VISITORS AND THAT TYPE OF THING, SO WE'RE GETTING BACK UP TO SPEED ON ALL OF THAT SO THINGS ARE STARTING TO GET BACK TO PRE-P.M. LEVEL: ONE OF THE THINGS WE DO IS THE YOU'RE SERVICES PROGRAM.

EARLY LITERACY PROGRAMS, READING PROGRAMS EACH MONTH WE HAVE ROUGHLY 57 PROGRAMS, 1700 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE EVERY MONTH.

SOME OF THE RECENT HIGHLIGHTS SUMMER READING PROGRAM WE HAD 5700 PEOPLE PARTICIPATE IN THAT AND THE RECENT HARRY POTTER DAY WHICH IS A BIG THING. PEOPLE COME DRESSED UP AT THE LIBRARY SO YOU MAY HAVE SEEN THE PICTURES.

I HAVE A LOT OF SERVICE PROGRAMS, ESCAPE ROOMS, BOOK CLUBS, CRAFT PROGRAMS, COLLEGE PANDEMIC.

WE TRY TO GET THE KIDS IN BUILDING AND GET THEM USES TO COMING TO THE LIBRARY AND THERE AGAIN THE TEEN SERVICES ARE A LITTLE SMALLER GROUPS AND MORE INTIMATE EXPERIENCES FOR THOSE TEEN GROUPS. IGNITE WHEN I WAS FIRST JOINING THE BOARD REALLY THAT AREA DOWNSTAIRS WAS UNDERUSED AND A LOT OF ARTISTS AND CREATIVE INDIVIDUALS, WE HAVE AN ARTIST IN REGISTERS, THAT PICTURE IS FROM A TYPICAL DAY IN MAKER SPACE. WE PROVIDE ACADEMIC AND OPERATIONAL SERVICES TO EDUCATORS AND STUDENT ACROSS THE MET POT END METROPOLITAN INDIANAPOLIS.

WE'RE VERY PROUD OF THE SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED, SCHOOL FOR THE DEATH AND ALSO SOUTH DAKOTA SPECIAL SERVICES SO WE'RE PROUD OF OUR MEMBERSHIP AND APPRECIATE YOUR INVOLVEMENT IN THE CENTER. THE THREE E GRANT, HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN WILL BE ONE OF SEVEN SCHOOL SYSTEMS FROM AROUND THE STATE, JUST TO GIVE YOU A LITTLE BIT OF BACKGROUND, WHEN I WAS A STUDENT IN SOUTHERN INDIANA I HAD THIS ANDREW DREAME WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT WE BUILT A CULTURE THAT FOCUSED ON STUDENTS DEVELOPED STRONG SENSE OF CHARACTER, SKILLS; SUCCESS SKILLS THAT WOULD BE EMBEDDED IN OUR STUDENTS FROM THE BEGINNING AND WHEN THEY GRADUATED THEY WERE WELL PREPARED FOR ANY POSTSECONDARY OPTION OR OPPORTUNITY THAT THEY WANTED TO ACHIEVE. WE ALSO FELT IT WAS IMPORTANT THAT WE GAVE THEM EXPERIENCES TO MATCH THEIR SKILLS AND THEIR INTERESTS AND THEIR PASS. WE WANT THEM TO HAVE AS MUCH INFORMATION PRIOR TO GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL THAT THEY POSSIBLY COULD HAVE SO THEY COULD MAKE THAT GOOD POST SECONDARY CHOICE. I HAVE THREE CHILDREN OF MY OWN, ONE WENT RIGHT INTO THE WORKFORCE, HE WORKS IN THE I.T.

THE SEVEN DISTRICTS WE'RE PROUD OF THE DIVERSION DEMOGRAPHICS BECAUSE THAT PROGRAM WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IN EVERY DEMOGRAPHIC THAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT, SO IN GREATER CLARK WE WERE LUCKY TO HAVE A STEERING COMMITTEE OF 180 INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COMMUNITY MEMBERS THAT DROVE THIS SO THIS WAS TRULY A COMMUNITY WIDE EFFORT. WE HAD OVER 400 BUSINESS PARTNERS AND WE HAD TREMENDOUS RESULTS WITH STUDENTS, 99 PERCENT OF OUR STUDENTS LEFT HIGH SCHOOL MAKING A VERY MANY OFFED POST-SECONDARY CHOICE, WE TRACK THAT DATA.

SO WE SEE THAT VISION COMING TO A BROADER BASE AND THAT'S WHEN THE THREE E GRANT CAME AVAILABLE WE GREASESSIVELY PURSUED IT BECAUSE I BELIEVE IT'S A WAY TO TRANSFORM ANYTHING ELSE A RELEVANT AND MEANINGFUL WAY FOR OUR STUDENTS WHICH IS WHY WE EXIST AND I'VE SEEN THE RESULTS. THIS GOES BEYOND THEORY, THIS IS VERY PRACTICAL. WE HAVE PUT IT IN PLACE AND WE HAVE HAD POSITIVE METRICS AS A RESULT.
