AND MANY OF THE STUDENTS ARE ALSO ENGLISH LEARNERS. THESE JUNIORS SPENT SEMESTER OLD INCOMPETENT IN PUBLIC SPEAKING. FOR THEIR FINAL CREATED ACTIVITY TO HELP YOUNGER STUDENTS UNDERSTAND HOW VOICE COMMUNICATION. WHICH YOU WILL SEE. THE PROJECT WAS MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE COLLABORATION OF TEACHERS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL AND NEW BRITAIN. THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR OF THE CLASS IT DOESN'T WORK THE FIRST TIME WE'VE INCLUDED A PARTNERSHIP. THE HIGH SCHOOL CLASS FOR REASONS NINE LANGUAGES. ARABIC, JAPANESE, SPANISH, PORTUGUESE, PUNJABI, VIETNAMESE, KAREN AND INDONESIAN. THESE GAVE STUDENTS A CHANCE TO MODEL STRONG LANGUAGE LEARNING SKILLS TO PRACTICE LEADERSHIP AND SERVE AS ROLE MODELS FOR OUR YOUNG STUDENTS. ENGAGING STUDENTS AS TEACHERS THIS PROJECT SHOWS HOW ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE GROWS WHEN LEARNERS ARE EMPOWERED TO USE THEIR VOICE AND CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR COMMUNITY. TO ACCOMMODATE SOME OF THOSE HIGHER GROWTH COMMUNITIES. AND THEN PROVIDE SOME RELIEF AT FALL CREEK. THEY ARE TAKING ON ADDITIONAL STUDENTS. COMMUNITY FEEDBACK OBVIOUSLY IS TO REMAIN. RIGHT NOW THEY'RE KIND OF SPLIT. 005 IS BEING ASSIGNED AS HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN BLOCK AND 006 IS FALL CREEK. SO I THINK THE SENTIMENT WOULD BE TO KEEP THEM ASSIGNED TO EITHER ONE OF THOSE SCHOOLS. FALL CREEK BEING THE MORE OBVIOUS OF THE TWO. AND SO WE DID TAKE THAT INFORMATION AND PUT TOGETHER A FINAL RECOMMENDATION. THE FINAL RECOMMENDATION IS GOING TO KEEP UNITS 10 AND 11 ASSIGNED TO DEER CREEK INSTEAD OF MOVING TO SAND CREEK IS GOING TO KEEP PLANNING UNIT 51 AND 52 ASSIGNED TO GUIST INSTEAD OF REASSIGNING TO FALL CREEK. IT WILL KEEP PLANNING UNIT FOR ASIDE TO FALL CREEK INSTEAD OF MOVING IT TO SAND CREEK FISHERS. THE FINAL RECOMMENDATION DOES PROPOSE MOVING 56 TO THE SAND CREEK FISHERS PATTERN AND THEN WE RECOMMEND KEEPING UNITS EIGHT AND NINE ASSIGNED TO RIVERSIDE. THAT CREATES A THREE-WAY SPLIT. TO REMAIN AT THAT RIVERSIDE PATTERN. THAT IS SOMETHING THAT COULD BE ACCOMMODATED. LASTLY AS WE MENTIONED THE RECOMMENDATION IS TO ALLOW A GRANDFATHER PROCESS FOR ALL TO CONTINUE ON AT THEIR SCHOOLS. AND THE GRANDFATHERING WOULD BE CONTINGENT ON THAT PROVIDING TRANSPORTATION AND THERE IS CAPACITY AT THE SCHOOL. SO AGAIN, THIS IS THE BOUNDARIES. THIS IS THE FINAL RECOMMENDATION. THERE IS NO BOUNDARY CHANGE UP THERE. DEER CREEK. AND SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES ARE PRODUCING ABOUT .3 STUDENTS OR 30 ELEMENTARY AND JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN NOBLESVILLE FOR EVERY 100 HOMES BUILT. SO THAT TRANSLATES TO ABOUT 19 ELEMENTARY AND ANOTHER EIGHT INTERMEDIATE AND ABOUT FIVE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL FOR 100 HOMES. WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE MULTIFAMILY HOMES IT'S ABOUT HALF. THOSE FAMILIES AGE AND MOVE THROUGH THE SYSTEM WE MIGHT GET SOME NATURAL DECLINES AND ALLOW FALL CREEK TO LEVEL OUT AND THEN SEND CREEK FISHERS WOULD BE ABLE TO OBSERVE THE NEW STUDENTS AS THEY HELP WITH THAT. SO THIS IS MORE OF A LONG-TERM THING. WE ARE NEEDING TO LOOK AT PRESENT-DAY WHAT THE POTENTIAL IS IN THE FUTURE. THERE ARE 20 NEW COURSES THAT COMPLETE PATHWAYS SO MOST OF THOSE WE MAY HAVE A PRINCIPLES CLASS AND THE CAPSTONES. THAT WILL ALLOW STUDENTS TO GET A SENSE OF ALL THOSE THE NEW DIPLOMA. IN ADDITION TO THAT WANTED TO MAKE AWARE OF SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WE ARE DOING WITH NEW COURSES BUT JUST TO MAKE THE NEW DIPLOMA ACCESSIBLE TO THE CLASS OF 2028. CURRENT SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS. WE JUST FEEL LIKE HONORS DIPLOMAS THAT WERE ACCESSIBLE UNDER THE CURRENT DIPLOMA. SO I WANT TO ENCOURAGE THOSE OPTIONS TO OUR STUDENTS, FAMILIES AND TO DO THAT WE'VE BEEN VERY CREATIVE. COMBINING CLASSES TOGETHER TO MAXIMIZE OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS. SO WE LOOKED AT MOVING HEALTH TO HAVE AN EIGHTH-GRADE THAT GOES ALONG ACCOMMODATIONS. AND TALKING TO PRINCIPALS AT BOTH HIGH SCHOOL AND JUNIOR HIGH TARGETING TEACHERS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL REALLY DISSECTING IT. IT MAKES MORE SENSE TO MOVE TO THE WELLNESS CLASSES THAT ALREADY EXIST. THERE WOULDN'T BE AS BIG A CHANGE FOR HEALTH. AND THAT ADJUSTMENT WOULD BE TO SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASE THE COST TO THE STUDENT FROM 180 FOR STUDENT TO 220. JUST A COMPARISON OF WHAT FAMILIES ARE PROTECTED TO PAY FOR CLASSES NEXT YEAR WOULD BE 260 PER COURSE. STILL A LITTLE BIT LESS THAN THE ONLINE COURSE. THOSE AMOUNTS ARE 3500, 5000 AND $7500. SO THE PROPOSALS IS A SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE OVER WHAT WE'VE DONE PREVIOUSLY. ALL OF THIS LANGUAGE IS STRAIGHT FROM GUIDANCE FROM THE LEGISLATURE. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT IF YOU'RE NOT IN THAT GROUP THAT YOU CAN'T APPLY. ALL TEACHERS ARE WELCOME TO APPLY. BUT WE ARE PROVIDING SOME PREFERENCE TO THOSE FOLKS THAT THEY CHOOSE TO APPLY. THEY WILL SAY BASED ON WHO YOU SENT US WE ARE GOING TO AWARD YOU THIS AMOUNT OF MONEY AND THEN WE HAVE 60 DAYS FROM THE TIME WE RECEIVE THAT DISTRIBUTE THAT TO THE INDIVIDUAL TEACHERS. >> JUST A LITTLE CONTEXT TO PEOPLE THAT MAYBE DIDN'T OPEN. IT USED TO BE THAT THE TEACHER APPRECIATION GRANTS WENT TO ALL THE TEACHERS IN THE DISTRICT. SO I THINK IT'S REASONABLE THAT HSE OPTED INTO PARTICIPATE. I CAN UNDERSTAND WANTING TO ACCEPT ANY MONEY THE STATE IS OFFERING IN A TIME LIKE NOW. I DON'T THINK CHANGING OUR POLICY MEANS THAT HSE IS SAYING WE AGREE WITH WHAT THE STATE LEGISLATURE DID OR DIDN'T DO. IT IS JUST GOING WITH WHAT THEY'VE DONE. AND WE HAVE TO ABIDE BY WHAT THEY'VE DONE. AND RATHER THAN NOT GIVE OUR TEACHERS ANYTHING WE WANT TO OFFER THEM ANY OPPORTUNITY THAT WE CAN. EVEN IF IT'S ONLY 20% OF OUR TEACHERS. FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL WAS THIRD PLACE STATEWIDE. AND MORE PERFORMANCES TO CONTINUE. IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE THE FIRST SEMESTER IS GOING TO END NEXT FRIDAY. THIS HAS BEEN JUST LIKE A WHIRLWIND AS WE STARTED THE SCHOOL YEAR AND ALL THE WORK GOT DONE. I KNOW WE'VE ALREADY THINK THEM BUT I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE COMPANY AND HOW THEY LEAD US TO THE REDISTRICTING PROCESS. NEVER HAD ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM BEFORE AND THEY ARE NOW AN OUTSTANDING COMPANY AND REALLY MET OUR NEEDS. THE NEXT WEEK AND A HALF PLEASE WATCH THE WEATHER. OUR TEACHERS CAN APPLY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR PHENOMENAL GRANTS THAT ARE EDUCATIONAL FOCUSED TO SUPPORT THEIR CLASSROOMS AND TEACHERS. AND ALSO WHAT ELSE. REMINDER OF THE FOUNDATION GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS FOR OUR STAFF WHICH IS ONE RIGHT NOW. THEY HAVE THROUGH MIDNIGHT, DECEMBER 18TH. PLEASE GO AND APPLY.
