[1. Meeting Opening] [00:00:11] ORDER. LET'S RISE FOR THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. [2. Snapshots of Success] INAUDIBLE ] STARTING OUT THIS EVENING WE HAVE SNAPSHOTS OF SUCCESS WITH EMILY EVANS. >> GOOD EVENING. TONIGHT WE WILL BE HIGHLIGHTING SOME OF OUR GRANT WINNERS AND WE HAVE TWO CITY BOARD MEMBERS THAT ARE ON THE AGENCY FOUNDATION BOARD. THEY ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE PROCESS. THIS WAS THE FIRST YEAR THAT THEY HAVE MANAGED TO GET GRANTS TO ALL 22 SCHOOLS SO WE HAVE TWO GRANT WINNERS HERE TODAY. SARAH IS A TEACHER DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST AND THE WE HAVE JENNIFER HARTMAN WHO IS A MEDIA SPECIALIST AND THEY WILL COME UP AND TALK ABOUT THE PROJECTS. WE DO HAVE A QUICK VIDEO FOR YOU TO WATCH. >> LEGO IS SOMETHING THAT KIDS ARE FAMILIAR WITH SO WHY NOT TAKE IT A STEP FURTHER. >> HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN EDUCATION FOUNDATION HAS BEEN A DRIVING FORCE, INVESTING NEARLY $2 MILLION IN STUDENT LEARNING AND TO FOSTER INNOVATIVE TEACHING PROCESSES. >> THEY ARE HONING THERE ARE SKILLS AND THEY HAVE TO USE PARAMETERS. THERE IS A LOT OF PROBLEM-SOLVING THAT GOES INTO THAT. >> TEACHERS AND STAFF ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR GRANTS WHETHER IT IS FOR A CLASSROOM PROJECT OR A LARGE SCALE INITIATIVE. >> THIS YEAR WE HAD 50 PROJECTS THAT WE SUPPORTED ALL OVER THE DISTRICT. >> I WAS THRILLED WHEN I HEARD THAT WE RECEIVED A GRANT. >> THE FUNDING ALLOWS EDUCATORS TO THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX AND THEIR BUDGET RESTRAINTS. >> WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE ARE DOING WHAT WE KNOW IS BEST FOR ALL OF OUR READERS AND HAVING THIS RESOURCE HAS JUST BEEN A REALLY POWERFUL TOOL. >> THIS REALLY EXTENDS THE IMPACT THAT WE HAVE ACROSS THE DISTRICT. >> THESE KIDS ARE BUILDING A VIDEOGAME. >> REPORTER: THE FOUNDATION HAS GENEROUSLY PROVIDED MORE THAN $115,000 EMPOWERING STUDENTS UNIQUE AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCES. >> THEY HAVE BEEN DEVELOPING CHARACTERS AND STORIES. YOU ARE A MEMBER OF SECOND GRADE AND YOU BUILD YOUR OWN VIDEO GAME. THAT IS LEARNING THAT IS UNMATCHED AND IT IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY. YOURSELF ON THE BIG SCREEN THERE. WELCOME. DID YOU HAVE ANYTHING THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO PRESENT TO US? OR TELL US A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT YOUR GRANT? >> SURE. I AM SARAH AND I AM A TEACHER DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST AT SAND CREEK ELEMENTARY. SO, I WORKED WITH OUR TEACHER LIBRARIAN, KRISTIN MORGAN ON WRITING THIS GRANT. WE WERE SEEING A NEED FOR MORE RESPECTFUL TEXT FROM THIRD AND FOURTH GRADERS WHO WERE IN THE PRIMARY STAGES SO DECODING AND LEARNING TO READ. WE WANTED SOMETHING THAT DID NOT LOOK LIKE A BABY BOOK BUT LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING THEY WOULD BE INTERESTED IN READING AND COULD ELICIT MORE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THOUGHT, STRUCTURE, CHARACTERS, AND MORE. SOMETHING MUCH MORE THAN WHAT HAS BEEN AVAILABLE BEFORE. WE WROTE A GRANT FOR STUDENTS IN THIRD AND FOURTH GRADE AND EACH TEACHER GOT ABOUT $100 TO USE IN THEIR CLASSROOM. TEACHERS CAN USE THEM AND THEY ARE VERY SKILL SPECIFIC SO THEY CAN USE THEM IN SMALL GROUPS AND THEN KIDS HAVE ACCESS TO THEM [00:05:04] IN BOOK BINS AND LOOK AT THEM TOGETHER. IT IS SOMETHING THEY CAN GET INTO TOGETHER. WE ARE REALLY EXCITED TO HAVE THEM. >> I AM JENNIFER HARTMAN AND I AM THE TEACHER -- LIBRARY TEACHER AT GUIST ELEMENTARY. IT IS EASY TO GET LEGOS, BLOCKS, AND CARDBOARD SO IT WAS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY. WE GOT TWO GRANTS FROM THE FOUNDATION AND WE REALLY APPRECIATE THAT. ONE IS FOR THE THINGS THEY ARE SEEING -- PSALM BOXILS. THEY CAN TAKE THE BOARD AND TRANSFER THAT TO THEIR OWN GAME. ARE REALLY EXCITED TO TYPE THEIR WRITING TO S.T.E.M. AND ANOTHER GRANT I GOT IS FOR WIND TURBINES FOR THIRD-GRADE AND THEY WILL TIED THAT TO THEIR INNOVATORS ELEMENTS THAT THEY ARE DOING LATER IN THE SPRING. THIRD-GRADERS WILL BE HOLDING MANY WIND TURBINES OF THEIR OWN AND THEN MEASURING THE ELECTRICAL OUTPUT. WE ARE REALLY APPRECIATIVE OF HAVING THESE KINDS OF OPPORTUNITIES. >> THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BOTH OF THOSE. THEY SOUND LIKE GOOD OPPORTUNITIES. I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO THE COMMUNITY TOO. IT WAS MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO THAT THE FOUNDATION IS SO GENEROUS BUT THE MONEY COMES FROM THE COMMUNITY. SO THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY HERE AND LISTENING AND ALL OF THAT FOR MAKING THOSE DONATIONS. AS A DISTRICT WE WOULD LOVE TO PROVIDE ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING BUT THE FUNDING DOES NOT ALWAYS MATCH UP WITH THAT SO WE RELY ON THESE DONATIONS. THE GAMEDAY EVENTS AND ALL OF THIS DIFFERENT THINGS. THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY THAT DONATES TO THE FOUNDATION. >> I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THE BLOCKVILLE. IT LOOKS REALLY EXCITING AND CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYBODY THAT GOT A GRANT. I DO HOPE YOU WILL SHARE SOME OF THE VIDEOS FROM THE VIDEO GAMES. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THOSE AND THE WIND TURBINES, ARE YOU GOING TO INVITE MR. RICE TO COME TALK ABOUT THAT? >> CAN BOTH OF YOU TALK ABOUT SORT OF WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO APPLY FOR THESE SPECIFIC PROJECTS? ON EACH SIDE AND WHERE THE INSPIRATION FROM -- FOR BOTH OF THEM CAME FROM? >> I WAS ACTUALLY NEAR THE DISTRICT LAST SPRING AND KNOWING HOW AS A STATE IN THE DISTRICT WE ARE LEARNING MORE ABOUT SCIENCE AND READING PRACTICES AND FINDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS TO PRACTICE THEIR CONNECTED TEXT AND AUTHENTIC TEXT AS BEING DECODING AND SKILLS. IT IS A RESOURCE THAT HAS NOT ALWAYS BEEN AVAILABLE IN CLASSROOMS, SPECIFICALLY AT THIRD AND FOURTH GRADE LEVELS. KINDERGARTNERS HAVE MORE ACCESS TO THAT TEXT BUT WE REALLY WANTED SOMETHING FOR NEW LEARNERS WHO WERE EITHER CELEBRATING -- BECAUSE THEY ARE MLL STUDENTS THAT ARE LEARNING ENGLISH OR A B WE WANTED SOMETHING TO ENGAGE THEM AND ALLOW THEM TO GET INTO SOMETHING JUST LIKE THEIR PEERS DO. JUST KIND OF A NEED AND IT IS EXCITING RIGHT NOW, THE OPPORTUNITIES AND RESOURCES THAT ARE OUT THERE. WE ARE JUST EXCITED THAT WE HAD THIS OPPORTUNITY. >> OUR THIRD-GRADERS DID WIND POWER A LITTLE BIT LAST YEAR SO I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO DIY WIND TURBINES. THEY ARE AVAILABLE ONLINE IN THE USE RECYCLED MATERIAL TO BUILD THEIR OWN BLADES AND I THOUGHT, WHY NOT. HOW EASY IS IT TO HAVE THESE KIDS -- KITS AND BE ABLE TO REUSE THEM OVER AND OVER AGAIN. AND IT JUST SEEMED REALLY COOL. I THOUGHT I WOULD JUST GO FOR IT. >> I LOVE THE IDEA OF YOU VIDEOTAPING THE PROJECTS BECAUSE IT BECOMES SOMETHING WE CAN LOOK BACK ON AND SHARE WITH INCOMING STUDENTS IN FUTURE YEARS AND IT WILL BE SOMETHING TO LOOK BACK ON IN FUTURE YEARS. YOU CAN EXPERIENCE YOUR OWN DIY CATALOG IN FUTURE YEARS. >> THANK YOU FOR COMING. WE APPRECIATE YOU TAKING THE TIME OUT OF YOUR VALENTINE'S DAY TO [00:10:02] TEACH US. >> DO YOU WANT A PICTURE? >> YES. THANK YOU. >> [4. Consent Agenda] OF WHICH THERE ARE NONE SO WE WILL MOVE TO THE CONSENT AGENDA. THERE ARE FIVE ITEMS PRESENTED ON THE CONSENT AGENDA. BOARD MINUTES, 4.02, CERTIFIED AND SUPPORT STAFF REPORTS. 4.03 CLAIMS, PAYROLLS, FOR A 3B AND 457 SALARY REDUCTION AGREEMENTS, 4.04, STILL DATED CHECKS AND 4.05, L DESKTOP COMPUTER PURCHASE. >> MOTION TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS PRESENTED. >> SECOND. >> I WILL CALL THE QUESTION. ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA PLEASE SAY [5. Action Items] AYE. >> AYE. >> ANY OPPOSED, SAY NAY. IT IS PASSED, 7-0. MOVING ON TO 5.01 , E-RATE BID RECOMMENDATION. TOM KOUNS WILL DO THE PRESENTATION FOR US. >> BACK IN DECEMBER WE WERE GIVEN PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE AN RFP TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR ACCESS POINTS. THESE ACCESS POINTS WOULD BE AT NASH AS PART OF THE TEN-YEAR TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM TO KEEP INFRASTRUCTURE CURRENT. WE DID RECEIVE SIX BIDS AND OF THOSE, TWO OF THEM REFERENCE THE ACCESS POINT MODEL THAT WE ITEMIZED IN THE RFP. I AM RECOMMENDING THIS EVENING THAT WE ACCEPT A BID FROM MOSS TELECOM. WE HAVE WORKED WITH THEM IN THE PAST AND HAVE A GOOD WORKING HISTORY WITH THEM. THEIR BID PRICE WAS JUST OVER $227,000. THAT IS ABOUT $23,000 LESS THAN BUDGETED. AND REMEMBER THIS IS THE RATE ELIGIBLE SO BY USING THAT BID PRICE WE WILL GET JUST A LITTLE OVER $91,000 REIMBURSED TO THE DISTRICT THIS SUMMER. I AM HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU HAVE. BUT WE WOULD RECOMMEND ACCEPTANCE OF THE BID FROM MOSS TELECOM. >> MOTION TO APPROVE THE PURCHASING OF WIRELESS ACCESS POINTS FROM MOSS TELECOM AS PRESENTED. . >> SECOND. >> WE HAVE A MOTION AND A SECOND. I WILL OPEN IT FOR DISCUSSION. >> NO COMMENTS. THANK YOU. >> NO COMMENTS. >> NO COMMENTS. >> NO COMMENT. >> I NOW CALL THE QUESTION. ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF APPROVING 5.01 AS PRESENTED PLEASE SAY AYE. >> AYE. >> ANY OPPOSED SAY NAY. THE MOTION PASSES, 7-1. MOVING ON TO 5.03, SUMMER PE FEE INCREASE AND THERE WILL BE A PRESENTATION BY DR. KEGLEY. >> FOR MANY YEARS WE HAVE BEEN CHARGING $135 PER STUDENT FOR SUMMER PHYSICAL EDUCATION. THIS IS AN OPTION THAT WE OPEN UP EVERY SUMMER. WE STAFF THAT BASED ON THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS THAT REGISTER. IN EXAMINING OUR COST FOR THAT WE FIND THAT WE ARE IN NEED OF AN INCREASE FROM WHAT WE HAVE BEEN CHARGING. THIS EVENING I BRING BEFORE YOU THE RECOMMENDATION TO INCREASE FEES TO $160 PER STUDENT STARTING THIS SUMMER. THAT INFORMATION WILL BE ADVERTISED AS SOON AS WE HAVE APPROVAL FROM THE BOARD AND THAT WOULD BE THE PLAN GOING [00:15:02] FORWARD. WE WILL ANALYZE THE EFFECT OF THAT OF THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS THAT CONTINUE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT OPPORTUNITY AND TO DETERMINE IF WE WILL LEAVE IT AT THAT RANGE IN THE FUTURE. >> ALL RIGHT. DO I HAVE A MOTION TO APPROVE THIS ITEM AS PRESENTED? >> MOTION TO APPROVE THE SUMMER PE FEE INCREASE AS PRESENTED. . >> SECOND. >> I WILL NOW OPEN DISCUSSION. ANY QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS FROM THE BOARD? >> CAN YOU ANSWER IF THIS WILL DECREASE THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS THAT WILL PARTICIPATE IN SUMMER PE? WOULD THAT REQUIRE US TO THAN HAVE MORE ACCESS TO PE CLASSES DURING THE YEAR? I KNOW COACHES ENCOURAGE THEIR FALL ATHLETES TO TAKE SUMMER PE SO THAT THEY CAN TAKE MORE ADVANCED CONDITIONING AND WEIGHTLIFTING. IT ALLOWS THE KIDS TO GET IN AND DO STRENGTH TRAINING PRIOR TO THE SEASON. I KNOW MOST OF OUR KIDS HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED THEIR SCHEDULE FOR THE YEAR AND MOST HIGH SCHOOL KIDS AND EVEN EIGHTH-GRADERS HAVE THAT. THEY ELECT TO DO PE DURING THE SUMMER RATHER THAN DURING THE YEAR. I KNOW REGISTRATION IS NOT YET OPEN FOR SUMMER PE. DO WE HAVE A NUMBER OF KIDS THAT WE KNOW ARE THINKING ABOUT TAKING IT ? SO IF ALL OF A SUDDEN WE HAVE A BUNCH OF KIDS THAT ARE LIKE, THE PARENTS ARE LIKE, I'M NOT GOING TO DO THE EXTRA MONEY, YOU CAN JUST TAKE IT DURING THE YEAR AND THEN YOU HAVE TO GO TAKE ANOTHER ELECTIVE. >> THAT IS ONE OF THE REASONS IN THE ATTACHMENT THAT I HAVE, YOU WILL NOTICE THE DISCREPANCY BETWEEN WHAT WE BROUGHT IN LAST YEAR IN TERMS OF THE FEE AT 135 AND WHAT WE SPENT IN INSTRUCTION SO THERE IS ALMOST A $30,000 DIFFERENCE THERE. ALSO, IF THE PRICE WAS SO HIGH THAT WAS THE REACTION FROM PARENTS THAT THEY SAID YOU CAN JUST TAKE IT DURING THE YEAR, THAT WOULD CAUSE A NEED TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS THAT WE HAVE, WHICH IS ALSO POTENTIALLY A COST INCREASE. SO THIS IS WHY $160 WAS PUT THERE AS THE MIDDLE GROUND TO N WOULD SEE ANY KIND OF FLUCTUATION IN THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS THAT TICKET DURING THE SUMMER AND THEN ANALYZE THE COST AND BENEFIT ANALYSIS TO SEE IF THIS COULD AFFECT US ADVERSELY. IT COULD IF WE HAVE TO CONDUCT MORE CLASSES DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. >> WE WANT TO MAKE IT COST NEUTRAL FOR THE DISTRICT. >> CORRECT. >> THANK YOU. >> MY ONLY COMMENT IS I WANT TO CLARIFY THAT SUMMER PE IS AN OPTIONAL PROGRAM. IF ANYBODY HAS AN ISSUE WITH THIS. AND TO THE POINT MADE BY SARAH, IF THE COACHES OR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT OR ANYBODY, I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS A GOOD MIDDLE GROUND BETWEEN ENCOURAGING IT AND REQUIRING IT OF STUDENTS WHO END UP IN A PAY TO PLAY SITUATION. AND BEING TOLD THEY HAD TO TAKE IT TO BE ON A TEAM. WE NEED TO WATCH OUT FOR THAT. >> MY SON PLAYED SPORTS THAT HE DID NOT WANT TO TAKE SUMMER PE SO THIS IS A PHYSICAL EDUCATION ONE SO THIS FULFILLS THEIR REQUIREMENT . SO THEY COULD DO THAT FIRST OR SECOND SEMESTER OF THEIR FRESHMAN YEAR AND STILL HAVE PLENTY OF TIME FOR FURTHER OPPORTUNITIES. >> NO COMMENT. >> AS SARAH DONSBACH MENTIONED, ARE THERE CONCERNS ABOUT SCHEDULING ALREADY BEING CLOSED AND THERE COULD BE PEOPLE PLANNING TO TAKE THIS AND THIS COULD INTERRUPT PLANS? CREATED CAN BE ADJUSTED AND THAT IS TYPICALLY UP UNTIL THE CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR. SO, IF FAMILIES DECIDED THAT THEY [00:20:01] WANTED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS OPPORTUNITY NOW WHERE IT IS ALREADY IN THEIR SCHEDULE I AM SURE THAT CAN BE RECONCILED. >> THANK YOU. >> I WILL NOW CLOSE DISCUSSION AND ASKED THE QUESTION. THOSE IN FAVOR OF APPROVING AYES , PLEASE SAY AYE. >> THE MOTION PASSES 7-0. NEXT ON THE AGENDA IS 5.04 , A MOTION TO APPROVE THE AUTHORIZATION FOR TEMPORARY LOANS AS PRESENTED. >> EACH YEAR WE COME TO GET TEMPORARY LOANS BETWEEN FUNDS IT BECAUSE THE MAJORITY OF OUR FUNDS ARE ON A TWICE A YEAR DISTRIBUTION BECAUSE THEY ARE PROPERTY TAX BASED. THIS YEAR'S NOTE DIFFERENT . THIS YEAR WE HAVE A NEED FOR TEMPORARY FUNDING FOR THE REFERENDUM, THE -- AND THIS GETS US THROUGH ONE DISTRIBUTION HAPPENS AND WHEN PAYMENT IS DUE. WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO BORROW INTERNALLY SO WE ARE NOT LEVERAGING TAX RATES TO BE ABLE TO SUPPORT INTEREST STATEMENTS SO WE ARE DOING IT INTERNALLY. ESSENTIALLY, THE DEBT SERVICE FUND WILL TEMPORARILY LOAN $1 MILLION TO THE REFERENDUM FUND AND IT WILL TEMPORARILY LOAN $4.85 MILLION TO THE OPERATIONS FUND. AND THEN $150,000 TO THE PENSION BOND FUND. WE MADE OUR LAST PENSION BOND PAYMENT. THAT LEVY WILL BE DONE. THE RAINY DAY FUND WOULD LOAN $10.5 MILLION TO THE OPERATIONS FUND. STEPHANIE DOES A CASH FLOW ANALYSIS TO PREPARE FOR THIS AND THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR WHERE IT IS GETTING SUPPLEMENTED FROM THE EDUCATION FUND SO WE WERE MORE CONSERVATIVE JUST BECAUSE IT IS A LITTLE UNFAMILIAR AND FOR US IS IS A NO-NO TO RUN NEGATIVE CASH BALANCES. YOU COULD END UP WITH AN AUDIT CITATIONS SO THAT IS ONE OF THE REASONS WE DO THIS. BYLAW THESE HAVE TO BE REPAID BY DECEMBER 31 OF THE YEAR THE LOAN IS TAKEN OUT. WE WOULD REQUEST THAT YOU APPROVE THE TEMPORARY LOAN AS PRESENTED. >> DO I HAVE A MOTION TO APPROVE 5.04 , TO APPROVE THE AUTHORIZATION FOR TEMPORARY LOANS AS PRESENTED. >> MOTION TO APPROVE THE AUTHORIZATION FOR TEMPORARY LOANS AS PRESENTED . >> SECOND. I WILL OPEN IT UP FOR DISCUSSION. ANYONE WITH COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS? >> NONE, THANK YOU. >> NO COMMENT. >> NO COMMENT. >> I AM NOT GOING TO CLOSE DISCUSSION AND CALL THE QUESTION. ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF APPROVING ITEM 5.04 AND THE TRANSFER RESOLUTIONS AS PRESENTED PLEASE SAY AYE. >> AYE. >> THE MOTION PASSES, 7-0. 5.06, POLICY SECOND READING . RYAN TAYLOR. >> GOOD EVENING. SO, SEVERAL WEEKS AGO WE PRODUCED THESE TWO ITEMS OF SUPERINTENDENT QUALIFICATIONS AND THIS WAS A NEW ITEM WITH THE WEAPONS AND WE WENT FOR THE FIRST READ AND WE HAD SOME FEEDBACK AND TONIGHT WE ARE HERE TO SEE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS AND IF NOT, TO TAKE ACTION OF APPROVAL. >> DO I HAVE A MOTION TO APPROVE THIS ITEM AS PRESENTED? >> MOTION TO APPROVE AS PRESENTED. >> SECOND. >> I WILL NOW OPEN IT UP FOR DISCUSSION. ANY QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS? I AM NOW GOING TO CLOSE DISCUSSION AND CALL THE QUESTION. ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF ACCEPTING 5.06 AS PRESENTED PLEASE SAY AYE . [6. Information Items] >> AYE. THE MOTION PASSES, 7-0. NOW MOVING ONTO INFORMATION ITEMS, 6.01. >> LAST WEEK WE TOOK A LOOK AT A BUNDLE OF FACILITY POLICIES AND A LOT OF THESE HAD NOT BEEN LOOKED AT OR REVIEWED FOR ALMOST TWO DECADES SO THE TIME WAS RIGHT. WE SYSTEMATICALLY WENT THROUGH THOSE AND FOR THE MOST PART WE NEED TO REVIEW THEM. AS WE REVIEWED THESE WE [00:25:04] REALIZE THAT WE NEEDED TO REINFORCE POLICIES WITH PROCEDURES THAT REFLECT WHAT WE DO IN PRACTICE AND IN SOME OF OUR PROTOCOLS. AT THE RISK OF READING ALL OF THOSE, I KNOW THAT YOU HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO LOOK AT THEM. DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS? >> MAY I MAKE A COMMENT? >> SURE. >> I DO HAVE TO SAY, I BROUGHT THIS UP ABOUT A YEAR AGO WITH THE PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATION THAT WE SHOULD LOOK AT THESE. I WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU FOR WRINGING THESE FORWARD AND YOU COULD TO THE DIRECTOR OF FACILITY AND MAINTENANCE FOR TALKING WITH -- OR WHOEVER BROUGHT THESE FORWARD BECAUSE IT WAS A BIG THING TO MAKE SURE THEY WERE FOLLOWING POLICIES THAT WERE NOT 20 YEARS OLD. YOU GO TO THE POLICY COMMITTEE FOR REVIEWING THESE. AND FOR BRINGING THEM THEM FORWARD NOW. >> THANK YOU. >> WE WILL MOVE ON TO 6.02 . ACADEMIC UPDATE. >> THANK YOU. YOU MAY KNOW THAT IN THE FALL THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PUT OUT A GRANT OPPORTUNITY FOR ROBOTICS AND I HAD ASKED MR. JEFF FRONIUS TO COME FORWARD. HE WAS KIND OF THE LEAD TEACHER, IF YOU WILL, NOT JUST FOR THE ROBOTICS PROGRAM BUT COORDINATED WITH OTHER BUILDINGS IN OUR DISTRICT TO HOPEFULLY, IF THE GRANT WAS SUCCESSFUL, TO SECURE FUNDING. WE FOUND OUT IN DECEMBER THAT WE RECEIVED A LITTLE OVER $52,000 SO, I AM GOING TO LET MR. FRONIUS TALK ABOUT THE PROCESS AND HOW THOSE FUNDS WILL BE USED. >> HELLO AND THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME COME. I WAS HERE LAST YEAR WHEN WE WON THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP . IT WAS QUITE FUN SO THANK YOU FOR THAT. I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE A QUICK BACKGROUND ON ROBOTICS AND WHAT HAPPENS AT SOME OF THE SCHOOLS AND THEN I WILL GET INTO THE NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE GRANT. OUR STUDENTS, THEY LIKE S.T.E.M. STUFF SO THIS IS A THING FOR THEM THAT WE HAVE FOR ATHLETICS KIDS AND FINE ARTS KIDS BUT THIS IS THE THING THAT THEY CAN BUILD CONFIDENCE AND GET THAT TEAMWORK IN A GROUP ENVIRONMENT AFTER SCHOOL. I THINK IT ALSO ADDS A CRITICAL THINKING ASPECT. I WILL EXPLAIN SOME OF THAT TO YOU AND ALSO, I DO THE HIGH SCHOOL VERSION OF THIS. AND ABOUT 80% OF MY STUDENTS GET COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR WHAT THEY WILL DO FOR A LIVING. WE THINK THAT IS PRETTY COOL . AND IT IS KIND OF WHAT THE NATION NEEDS. WE ARE GETTING ENGINEERS AND PROGRAMMERS AND HIGH-TECH PEOPLE COMING THROUGH. FOUR OR FIVE OF THE STUDENTS THAT HAVE GRADUATED HAVE COME BACK TO MENTOR TOO. SO THEY SEE THE VALUE OF IT. SOME OF YOU CAME TO OUR REVEAL DAY LAST YEAR AND FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DON'T KNOW, YOU HAVE SEEN THE SIZE OF THE ROBOT. JUST TO GIVE YOU A QUICK UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IS A ROBOT, AT THE YOUNGER LEVELS, WE HAD A TOURNAMENT LAST WEEK AT SAND CREEK INTERMEDIATE AND THEY HAVE SQUARE BLOCKS THEY HAVE TO PICK UP AND MOVE. THEY HAVE A SIX FOOT BY EIGHT FOOT FIELD AND THEY HAVE A COUPLE OF ROBOTS AT A TIME THAT THE INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL STUDENTS CAN USE TO GET IT DONE IN A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME. AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL WE JUST FOUND OUT THAT OUR GAME WAS JANUARY 6. IT WAS THESE FOAM THINGS AND WE HAVE TO PICK THEM UP OFF THE GROUND. IF YOU WANT TO THINK THROUGH WHAT WE ARE THINKING THROUGH AND WHAT MY TEAM IS DOING, THEY HAVE GOT TO PICK THAT UP AND SHOOT IT INTO A GOAL AND THEN I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SHOOT IT DOWN INTO A GOAL. IT IS A CHALLENGE. ALSO, AT THE END OF THE GAME, IT HAS TO HANG FROM A CHAIN AND WHILE ON THAT CHAIN, IT HAS TO GO IN A TRAP DOOR AND PUSH THROUGH. THEY HAVEN'T FIGURED THAT OUT YET BUT MY STUDENTS ARE SMART. THEY WILL [00:30:01] GET IT AND IT WILL BE GREAT. THAT IS HOW THE TOURNAMENT WORKS. THROUGHOUT OUR DISTRICT, I THINK THERE IS ABOUT 17. I THINK THERE ARE ABOUT 17 SCHOOLS THAT HAVE CLUBS OR IS OR TEAMS OR GROUPS. I TRIED TO KEEP TRACK BUT I ONLY KNOW SO MUCH. SO, THAT IS WHO WE CURRENTLY HAVE AND WHY SHOULD STUDENTS DO THIS OR WHY DO THEY LIKE TO DO THIS? IT IS FUN. WE DO IT IN A LARGE -- THE HIGH SCHOOL IS DONE IN AN ARENA. WE PACK THE STANDS AND PEOPLE ARE YELLING AND SCREAMING AND IT IS A FUN AND ELECTRIC ENVIRONMENT. THE KIDS ENJOY IT AND IT REALLY IS A COOL THING. THAT IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO. NOW, THERE WAS A GRANT. WE KNEW ABOUT THE GRANT AND MY TEAM COMPETES IN SOMETHING CALLED FIRST. WE BUILD THE BIG ROBOTS AND WE KNEW THAT THIS GRANT WAS BEING PROPOSED AT THE STATE LEGISLATURE AND MY TEAM TOOK A BUNCH AT SCHOOL LAST JANUARY AND WE HELPED WITH LOBBYING EFFORTS AT THE STATE HOUSE TO TRY TO GET THIS GRANT THROUGH. WE WERE AHEAD OF THIS WHOLE THING. IN JULY IS WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO COME OUT AND THEN WE WAIT AND THEN WE WAY AND THEY KEEP CALLING THE GUYS AT FIRST. AND THEY SAY IT TAKES TIME THEN IN SEPTEMBER, THE GRANT DID COME OUT. THERE WERE A COUPLE OF THINGS THAT MADE IT DIFFICULT FOR US. ONE, IT WAS A DISTRICTWIDE GRANT. SO MY TEAM THAT WAS EXCITED THINKING WE COULD GET $6000, IT HAD TO COME THROUGH THE DISTRICT. SO WE CONTACTED THE OFFICE OVER HERE SAYING HOW DO WE DO THIS? WE HAVE A WHOLE BUNCH OF SCHOOLS AND WE COULD GET $50,000 FOR THE DISTRICT. WHERE DO WE GO WITH ALL OF THIS? AND WE ONLY HAVE THREE WEEKS TO GET IT DONE. THE OTHER THING THAT WAS DIFFICULT ON THAT GRANT WAS FOR ALL OF THE MONEY THAT YOU ASK FOR, YOU HAD TO HAVE RAISED ONE THIRD OF THAT FROM THE COMMUNITY BY THE TIME YOU TURN THE GRANT IN. SO, HOW DO THESE LITTLE SCHOOLS DO ANY OF THAT? LUCKILY FOR THEM AND FOR US, MY TEAM DOES THAT. MY TEAM TAKES ABOUT $35,000 PER YEAR AND WE HAD RAISED ENOUGH FOR THE WHOLE DISTRICT. IT WAS NOT WRITTEN THAT WAY BUT, WHEN THE DISTRICT PUSHED BACK IN OUR LAPSING WE HAD TO FIGURE IT OUT, I CONTACTED THE STATE WITH A VERY SPECIFIC QUESTION. DOES EACH INDIVIDUAL SCHOOL HAVE TO CAN WE DO THIS IS A DISTRICT? THE MONEY THAT THE HIGH SCHOOL HAD RAISED COVERED ALL OF THE GRANT SO WE WERE ABLE TO GET ALL OF IT IN THAT WAY. AT SOME TIME IN THE GRANT THEY THROUGH IN EXTRA MONEY. SO WE WERE HAPPY. WE HAD THREE WEEKS TO GET IT DONE IN THE SCHOOLS THAT JOINED ME IN IT , THIS WAS THE LIST OF SCHOOLS THAT I KNOW OF. I CONTACTED ALL OF THESE SCHOOLS AND SAID, WHO WANTS TO JOIN ME? WE HAVE THE MONEY BUT YOU NEED TO WRITE THINGS AND GET YOUR PART DONE. ONLY THOSE SCHOOLS WERE ABLE TO BUT WE STILL GOT THE FULL NUMBER OF THE GRANT. I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE ANY MONEY ON THE TABLE. IF THE STATE IS OFFERING $50,000, WE WANT THAT. BETWEEN THOSE WE ALL WORKED TOGETHER AND I STARTED WRITING STUFF AND SENT IT TO THEM AND THEY WOULD SEND IT TO EVERYBODY AS THEY WOULD WRITE STUFF. WE HAD TO GET THIS ALL SUBMITTED IN A SHORT TIME PERIOD. THERE IS ALSO THIS PART, AND MR. URBAN HAS BEEN WORKING ON THIS AND IT IS A REIMBURSEMENT PLAN. THAT IS NOT A PROBLEM FOR MY TEAM. FOR THE YOUNGER SCHOOLS WHO DON'T USUALLY SPEND THAT MUCH MONEY, THAT IS A PROBLEM. SO, THEY ARE WORKING ON FIGURING THAT OUT AND HOPEFULLY THAT WILL BE DONE. SO , THOSE ARE THE SCHOOLS THAT ENDED UP AND HOW MUCH THEY GOT. SOME OF THOSE SCHOOLS HAVE NOT TOUCHED THAT MUCH MONEY WITH THE ROBOTICS TEAM EVER. WE RAISED MONEY AND IT HELPED EVERYONE OUT. MOSTLY IT WILL GO TO -- YOU HAVE TO SPEND IT ON SPECIFIC THINGS. IT WILL GO TO REGISTRATION FEES AND FOR THE YOUNGER GRADES REGISTRATION FEES ARE NOT THAT MUCH. LIKE MAYBE $15,000 ALL [00:35:06] YEAR. THE YOUNGER KIDS WILL PUT FIVE OR SIX KIDS ON ONE ROBOT. FOR EACH OF THOSE YOUNGER ROBOTS THEY HAVE A SINGLE REGISTRATION FEE. AM I TALKING TOO FAST? ANYWAY, THEY WILL BUY A LOT OF EQUIPMENT WHICH IS GREAT. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THOSE KIDS GET IT DOWN TO THREE KIDS PER ROBOT SO THERE ARE MORE KIDS WORKING AND LESS KIDS STANDING AROUND WAITING FOR A HANDOFF. THAT WILL BE A HUGE INFUSION AND IT WILL BE GREAT FOR ALL OF THE PROGRAMS. THERE ARE GOODS AND BEDS WITH THIS. ONE OF THE BAD THINGS, WE HAVE MORE EQUIPMENT COMING AND WILL BE GOOD FOR THE PROGRAM BUT IT IS THOSE SCHOOLS. NEXT YEAR WE HAVE $15,000 AND IT WILL PROBABLY BE THOSE SCHOOLS AGAIN. THE RICH WILL KEEP GETTING RICHER AND THE KIDS THAT DON'T HAVE ROBOTICS AT THEIR SCHOOLS, WILL NOT. I AM HOPING SOMEHOW WITHIN A YEAR WE CAN FIND A WAY TO GET THE OTHER SCHOOLS INVOLVED IN THIS. TALKING TO THE PEOPLE OF THE OTHER SCHOOLS THAT ARE GETTING THE MONEY, ONE OF THEIR SUGGESTIONS WAS THAT SCHOOLS ARE A LITTLE INTIMIDATED BY THE TECHNOLOGY AND WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO MAKE THE ROBOT WORK. AND THE MAYBE IF WE HAD SOME PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACROSS THE BOARD TO HELP MAKE THEM MORE COMFORTABLE WITH IT. I CAN TELL YOU THAT I KNOW A COMPANY THAT HAS OFFERED TO PAY FOR A ROBOTICS TEAM AND PROVIDE ALL OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL MENTORING AT A SCHOOL AND SOME SCHOOLS STILL WON'T LET THEM IN THERE TO DO THAT. >> IN OUR DISTRICT? >> YES. >> WHAT ELSE CAN I DO? THIS IS A HARD THING TO GET THROUGH. >> I WANT TO ASK THE QUESTION, WHY? >> YOU HAVE TO FIND A TEACHER OR SOMEBODY IN THE SCHOOL. >> SO YOU NEED A DESIGNATED SPONSOR AND YOU DON'T HAVE ONE? >> YES. I THINK IT IS THE TECHNOLOGICAL SPIRIT. LIKE OH MY GOSH, IT'S A ROBOT. I DO HAVE ONE MORE SLIDE AND THIS IS MY THING. WE NEEDED EQUIPMENT AND WE NEED REGISTRATION FEES. WHAT MY TEAM NEEDS IS A PLACE TO PRACTICE. SO, WE WERE IN A HALLWAY LAST YEAR BUT THE CEILING IS A PROBLEM THIS YEAR SO WE ARE IN THE LIBRARY. SO WE HAVE TO MOVE LIBRARY STUFF OUT AND PUT THINGS BACK EVERY DAY THAT WE WANT TO PRACTICE. THE SCHOOL HAS BEEN REALLY GRACIOUS IN HELPING US FIND PLACES TO WORK. SOMETIMES THEY HAVE MEETINGS IN THE LIBRARY AND IF THEY DO, WE CAN'T DO EVERYTHING IN THERE. THAT IS ALL I HAVE. >> I HAVE A QUESTION. SO, YOU HAD A STATE WINNING TEAM LAST YEAR. >> YOU BET. >> YOU HAD A PHENOMENAL ROBOT. SO YOU ARE IN A NEW YEAR. WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE OLD ROBOT? WHAT HAPPENS TO THAT ROBOT? DO WE KEEP IT GOING? >> WHEN I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE EARLIER, AND I WAS NOT, I TOOK APART OFF OF IT THAT A STUDENT NEEDED FOR SOMETHING ELSE. SOME FRAME THEM AND PUT THEM ON WALLS BUT WE DON'T HAVE A PLACE TO DO THAT OR THE MONEY. SO, IT IS SITTING THERE RIGHT NOW. IT IS A TROPHY OF SORTS. BUT WE KEEP TAKING PIECES OFF OF IT. >> SO HE'S LIKE AN ORGAN DONOR? >> OUTSTANDING. YES. ]. >> I HAVE A QUESTION REGARDING THE 80% APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS. THE OF 20% THAT DON'T, IS THERE A PARTICULAR REASON? >> THAT IS A GOOD QUESTION. YOU STUMPED ME. I WOULD HAVE TO SAY, WE HAVE A HANDFUL OF STUDENTS THAT ARE NOT S.T.E.M. CORE AND I JUST DON'T KNOW . BUT WE DO GET SOME PRETTY GOOD SCHOLARSHIPS. OUR LEADER FROM LAST YEAR THAT SPOKE TO YOU, HE COMPLAINED THAT HE HAS TO PAY TAXES BECAUSE HE'S GOING TO [00:40:07] COLLEGE. CRIMEA RIVER! >> I WANTED TO THANK YOU AND HIGHLIGHT SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU SAID. YOU SAID SOMETHING IMPORTANT THAT THERE ARE SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES AND SCHOOLS HAVE DEVELOPED AREAS FOR ATHLETICS, PERFORMING ARTS, AND MUSIC. THIS IS UP-AND-COMING. SOME OF THE THINGS THAT I WROTE DOWN WHILE YOU WERE SPEAKING, I LOVE THAT YOU HAVE THE KIDS ENGAGE IN THE GRANT PROCESS. YOU TOOK THEM TO THE STATE HOUSE AND THEY LISTENED AND TALK TO LEGISLATORS AND GOT A CIVICS LESSON WHILE THEY WERE DOING ALL OF THOSE. IT IS NOT JUST THE S.T.E.M. AND THE ROBOTICS. THEY ARE LEARNING ABOUT FUNDRAISING, SPEAKING . ALL OF THOSE THINGS. I JUST WANT TO COMPLIMENT YOU AND I DO HAVE ONE QUESTION ABOUT A WAY TO START DOING THIS IN A OTHER BUILDINGS. ARE THE KIDS THAT ARE DOING IT RIGHT NOW, ARE THEY DOING ANY KIND OF MENTORING? LIKE MAYBE BRING A FRIEND? >> I HAVE 45 STUDENTS ON THE TEAM AND ONE IS MENTORING AT ANOTHER SCHOOL SO HE GOES THERE ONE DAY A WEEK. SIX OF MY STUDENTS WERE REFEREES AT THE TOURNAMENT LAST WEEKEND. ONCE A YEAR WE HAVE AN EDUCATIONAL THING AT FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL. WE BRING KEY KIDS IN AND WE DO A BUNCH OF TRAINING TO HELP KIDS UNDERSTAND BETTER AND PROVIDE HELP THAT MAY BE THERE STUDENTS STRUGGLE WITH. IT USED TO ALWAYS BE TOUGH ONLY DID OUTREACH BUT THERE WAS A DINNER THAT WE PRESENTED AT LAST NIGHT AND IT WAS ALWAYS TOUGH GOING TO THOSE BECAUSE PARENTS WOULD BE PULLING ME ASIDE AND SAYING THEY WANTED TO SEND THEIR KIDS TO A CAMP BUT WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY. SO THEN WE DID THOSE AND THEY WOULD PHILIP. -- FILL UP. WE GET OUT AND TRY TO DO WHATEVER WE CAN TO BRING MORE IN. >> IT IS SUCH A POWERFUL STORY TO TELL AND WE HAVE THIS GREAT RESOURCE AND A GIANT COMMUNITY AND OUR SCHOOL DISTRICT. THIS IS NOT REALLY MY ROLE BUT PERHAPS WE COULD HAVE DR. KEGLEY AND MISS ABBOTT TAKE THE STORY THAT YOU JUST TOLD AND PUT IT OUT TO THE COMMUNITY. >> IT HAS BEEN A GREAT COMMUNITY. THEY SUPPORT US. >> WAS THIS GRANT SPECIFIC FOR FIRST ROBOTICS? >> THE LEAGUE WE COMPETE IN IS FIRST BUT THERE ARE LOWER AND INTERMEDIATE LEVELS. THEN THERE IS ELEMENTARY, JUNIOR HIGH, AND HIGH SCHOOL. IT WAS GOOD FOR BOTH OF THOSE. WE TEND TO DO --. >> SO, DO YOU STILL HAVE THE BEST ROBOTICS? SO THERE'S DOES NOT QUALIFY? AS A DISTRICT WILL WE START TO GET ON THE SAME KIND OF ROBOTICS PLATFORM? YOU KNOW, MY DAUGHTER DID THE ROBOTICS PROGRAM . I GUESS I JUST DIDN'T KNOW IF THAT WAS CONTINGENT UPON THE FUNDING BEING CONSISTENT WITH FIRST ROBOTICS CROSS SO THE AGENCY SCHOOL DISTRICT DOES NOT NECESSARILY RECEIVE THE FUNDING. >> RIGHT. >> THAT IS WHAT I WAS WANTING TO KNOW. >> I THINK THAT ANSWERED ONE OF MY QUESTIONS AND IT SOUNDS LIKE HSE WAS NOT ELIGIBLE BASED ON THEIR PROGRAM? >> THEIR PROGRAM IS A CLASS. SO, I AM A FRESHMAN AND I HAD A SOPHOMORE ON MY TEAM. YOU CAN'T JUST JOIN THE CLASS. I DON'T THINK IT QUALIFIES FOR SEVERAL REASONS. WE HAD TO WRITE 20 PAGES INCLUDING HOW YOU OPENED IT TO ALL STUDENTS. >> SO, THAT IS PART OF THE CURRICULUM PATHWAY. >> IF YOU ARE A FRESHMAN AT MY SCHOOL, WE WILL TAKE YOU. WE WILL TAKE ANYBODY. >> SO, THE OTHER SCHOOLS THAT ARE NOT PART OF THE GRANT, DO WE KNOW WHY THEY DID NOT APPLY? WAS IT THE TIGHT TURNAROUND? >> A LOT OF IT WAS THE TIGHT [00:45:01] TURNAROUND. THEY JUST DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO GET IN ON IT. >> THANK YOU VERY MUCH. IT WAS VERY INTERESTING AND WE APPRECIATE YOU COMING. [7. Board Members] >> MEMBER REPORTS AND WE WILL START WITH TIFFANY. >> NOTHING NEW TO REPORT. THANK YOU. >> I WILL JUST SAY THAT LAST FRIDAY -- WELL, ACTUALLY, LAST TUESDAY WAS BASICALLY THE HALFTIME OF THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION AND OF THE 65 EDUCATION BILLS SUBMITTED ONLY 44 REMAIN. SO, NOW WE START THE SECOND HALF WHERE ANY OF THOSE ORIGINAL BILLS THAT ARE NO LONGER MOVING ARE ELIGIBLE TO BE ADDED TO OTHER THINGS TODAY. THE HOUSE EDUCATION COMMITTEE WAS STILL GOING SIX HOURS AFTER IT STARTED WHEN I CAME INTO THIS MEETING. AND THAT STARTED AT 10:30 AM TODAY. SO THEY ARE GOING FAST AND FURIOUS TO TRY TO GET THINGS DONE. ON THE SHEET THAT I STARTED LAST MONTH, I ADDED AN UPDATE TO THE BILLS THAT ARE STILL GOING. MET THE FIRST WEEKEND THIS MONTH. AS HE REVIEWED ALONG WITH US IN TONIGHT'S MEETING, THE NEXT POLICY MEETING IS ON MARCH 6. >> WE HAD A VERY EXCITING BUDGET AND FINANCE MEETING. WE DID TALK ABOUT A FEW THINGS AND THE HIGHLIGHTS ARE POSTED ONLINE BUT WE TALKED ABOUT REFINANCING BONDS AND THE BOND RATING AND WE ARE DOUBLE A , WHICH IS THE HIGHEST IN THE STATE. WE ARE TIED FOR THE HIGHEST. WE ARE THE FIRST TO HAVE THAT READING. WE ARE TIED FOR THE BEST. WE TALKED ABOUT CASH RESERVES AND THAT IS SOMETHING THAT WE TALKED ABOUT MANY TIMES. WE TALKED ABOUT GRANT FUNDED POSITIONS AND THEN FINALLY, A COMMUNICATION ABOUT PER DIEM FOR SCHOOL BOARDS SO WE STARTED WITH IPS. ALL OF THAT WILL BE POSTED ONLINE WHEN THE MINUTES ARE AVAILABLE. >> I AM A COMMITTEE MEMBER OF THE FACILITIES AND I WOULD SAY THAT THE MINUTES FROM JANUARY HAVE NOW BEEN POSTED. THE NEXT MEETING IS TOMORROW AND THAT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC . THAT IS AT 9:30 AM. ANOTHER PART OF THAT , WHICH IS SOMETHING I HAVE BEEN EXCITED ABOUT WHICH HAS BEEN A JOURNEY FOR FISHERS, THE SUBCONTRACTOR BID PACKAGES ARE DO IT 2:00 P.M. AND THEN IT 2:00 P.M. IT WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND SHARED WITH THE PUBLIC SO IF YOU WANT TO HEAR ALL OF THE PHENOMENAL BIDS COMING IN TOMORROW. THE -- MEETING IS TOMORROW AND THAT IS CLOSE TO THE PUBLIC BUT THE FOUNDATION DOES A WONDERFUL JOB WITH OUR SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS. A BIG EVENT, GAME DAY 2024 IS NEXT WEEK AND TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT.
