[1. Meeting Opening ]

[00:00:07]

>>> IT'S 7 O'CLOCK TO WE'LL CALL WHICH MEETING TO ORDER.

WE WILL START WITH PLEDGE. >> I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE WITH

LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. >>> NEXT UP WE HAVE OUR SNAPSHOT

[2. Snapshots of Success ]

OF SUCCESS. EMILY WILL COME UP AND SHARE

THAT WITH US. >> GOOD EVENING.

SO TONIGHT WE GET TO HIGHLIGHT THE FISHERS SOUND AND I BELIEVE THIS IS SOME OF THEIR SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM FROM THE CHOIR GROUP, SO JEFF'S GOING TO A CHILDREN OF THEIR PERFORMANCE QUEUED UP AND I'M HOPING IT WILL WORK AND WE CAN LISTEN TO THEM SICK SING AND THEN I'LL INVITE THEM UP AND YOU CAN TALK TO THEM ABOUT THEIR UNDEFEATED SEASON THEY HAD THIS YEAR.

>>> IF YOU GIRLS WANT TO COME UP.

HI. MY DAUGHTER'S WILL BE REALLY EXCITED TO SEE THAT YOU SANG SOME TAYLOR SWIFT.

[00:05:02]

>> YES, WE HAD SYSTEM PEOPLE IN OUR CHOIR THAT LOVED IT TOO.

DO YOU WANT TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR SEASON?

>> SO IT WAS STARTED OFF REALLY GREAT.

WE GOT THAT FIRST WIN AND IT WAS NOT A COMPETITION WENT BY WHERE IT WAS AN EASY WIN WHERE WE WENT AGAINST SUPER EASY GROUPS SO WALKING OFF WITH THE VICTORY EVERY WEEKEND WAS SUPER INCREDIBLE. OUR GROUP WAS SUCH ON AMAZING GROUP. WE HAVE SUCH ON AMAZING DIRECTOR AND OUR SEASON WAS TRULY ONE THAT I KNOW SO MANY PEOPLE WILL NEVER FORGET AND I FEEL LIKE TO THE AN IMPACT ON A LOT OF

PEOPLE. >> EXCELLENT.

DOES ANYBODY ELSE WANT TO SHARE ANYTHING?

>> I'LL SAY SOMETHING. WE STARTED OFF OUR SEASON BY HOSTING OUR OWN COMPETITION SO IT WAS REALLY COOL SOME OF THE GROUPS WE WERE GOING TO GO UP AGAINST LATER IN OUR SEASON AND IT WAS REALLY COOL TO HOST -- WE HOST SCHOOLS SO WE GET TO SPEND TIME WITH THEM AND BUILD A SHOW CHOIR FAMILY IN THE COMMUNITY WITH OTHER GROUPS AND THAT WAS SO SPECIAL AND WE GAINED A LOT OF SUPPORT THAT WAY. AND WINNING WAS SO HUMBLING AND THAT WAS ONE OF OUR BIG THINGS, WE TRIED SO HARD AFTER EACH WIN, WE HAVE TO KEEP PUSHING FOR IT, LIKE DON'T GET PLACEN'T AND ACTING SUPER SUPERIOR TO OTHER GROUPS BECAUSE WE HAD THE WORK FOR EACH AND EVERY SINGLE WIN AND THAT KNEAD US SO MUCH CLOSER AND MADE ME SO MUCH PROUDER OF OUR GROUP WHEN WE ACCOMPLISHED

OUR STATE TITLE. >> DO ANY MEMBERS HAVE ANY

QUESTIONS? >> YEAH, YOU ALLUDED TO THE FACT THAT THE SONGS WERE THINGS YOU WERE INTERESTED IN, SO HOW DOES THAT -- WHEN YOU START YOUR SEASON, DO YOU GET TOGETHER AND TALK ABOUT WHAT THIS IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE? CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT THE PROCESS TO WHERE YOU GET YOUR

IDEAS AND INSPIRATION? >> SO YOU ARE DIRECTOR ACTUALLY PICK OUR SONGS AND HAS THE IDEA FOR THE SET.

BUT I THINK THROUGHOUT THE SEASON EACH PERSON KIND OF COMES UP WITH THEIR OWN STORY OF WHAT THOSE SPECIFIC SON-IN-LAW SONGS MEAN TO THEM AND EVEN THROUGHOUT THE SEASON WE GIVE OUR DIRECTOR IDEAS OF WHAT WE WANT TO DO FOR SET IDEAS SO IT'S A COLLABORATION OF WHAT RESONATE IT'S NATES.

>> SO IF THE SEASON STARTS IN THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR -- YES? SO WHEN YOU KNOW THIS IS WHAT WE'RE DOING FOR NEXT YEAR. IS THE SPRING YOU PICK FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR TERROR SUMMER THAT YOU PICK?

>> SO I ACTUALLY AM ALREADY IN THE PROCESS OF PLANNING NEXT YEAR'S SHOW SO THE SECOND THE SEASON ENDS I'M ALREADY IN THE PLANNING MODE FOR NEXT YEAR, BUT WE DO LIKE A SPECIAL WHERE SOUND ALL GETS TOGETHER AND I PUT TOGETHER A PRESENTATION WITH ALL THE SONGS THAT ARE GOING TO BE IN THEIR SET AND THAT'S OUR FIR FIRST BIG DAY TOGETHER WHERE WE DO SOCIAL MORALE ACTIVITIES SO THE KIDS CAN GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER, SO YEAH THE PLANNING TAKES PLACE ALL YEAR LONG, I ALREADY HAVE A COSTUME MEETING IN A FEW WEEKS FOR NEXT YEAR'S SET.

THEY LOVE THES COTOMBS AND COSTUMES AND THE ARRANGERRER AND I HAVE ALREADY BEEN THIS CONTACT, SO WE PICK A VARIETY OF MUSIC FROM CLASSICAL TO ROCK TO POP.

THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY A PERIOD PIECE SO WE TRY TO INCORPORATE SOME PEES PIECES FROM THE SEEN HUNDRED SO GIVE A MODERN TAKE ON. FOR EXAMPLE DURING THE OPENER WE HAVE SOME PARTS OF BACH FUGUE, SO IT ALL COMES OFF AS VERY MODERN BUT THERE IS A LOT OF SECRET THINGS THROUGHOUT THE SHOW THAT HINT AT THAT TIME PERIOD, SO VERY GRATEFUL TO HAVE THE RAIN SHOWERS RESOURCES THAT WE HAVE HERE.

WE CANNOT HAVE THE SUCCESS WE HAVE WITHOUT OUR STRONG SUPPORTIVE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF SO REALLY GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE

SUPPORT STAFF WE HAVE HERE. >> CONGRATULATIONS.

YOU'VE GONE A GREAT JOB. >> THANK YOU.

>> YOU GUYS DID A WONDERFUL JOB. I HAD A QUICK QUESTION.

DO YOU HAVE BACKUPS? WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMEONE IS UNABLE TO DO THEIR ROLE? DO YOU FILL IN FOR THEM?

>> I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT DO THAT.

WE HAVE SWINGS SO IF YOU'RE A FIRST YEAR SHOW CHOIR MEMBER THEN YOU SWING IN ONE NUMBER WHICH BASICALLY MEANS THAT YOU AREN'T BLOCKED IN THAT NUMBER BUT THAT IF SOMEBODY GETS SICK OR SOMETHING HAPPENS WHERE SOMEONE CAN'T COME TO A COMPETITION THEN THAT PERSON TAKE THEIR PLACE IN THE SHOW SO

[00:10:02]

WE DON'T HAVE ANY MISSING SPOTS AND THAT'S A WAY TO HELP THE IN COMING MEMBER THAT ARE NEW GET AFFILIATED BEFORE BEING THROWN

INTO EVERYTHING. >> TELL ME ABOUT -- I'M INTERESTED IN LIKE, BREATH CONTROL.

IT'S GOT TO BE HARD ENOUGH STANDING AND SINGING AND THEN YOU'RE -- THIS SIDE OF THE STAGE OR MOVING AROUND AND DANCING, HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR THAT? HOW DOES THAT IMPACT WHAT YOU

DO? >> SO OUR CONDITIONING COACH, WE HAVE DANCE CAPTAINS, VOCAL SOUTH CAROLINA LEADERS, CONDITIONING COACH, MORALE CAPTAINS AND PRESIDENTS AND SO BEHIND YOU RIGHT NOW IS MOST OF OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM AND REALLY WHAT I TAKE A LOT OF PRIDE IN WITH SOUND IS THAT IT REALLY IS A STUDENT LED GROUP AND I CHIME IN BUT I REALLY GIVE THEM THE LEADERSHIP CAN THE ABILITY TO TAKE THAT ON THEMSELVES.

SO BELLA IF YOU WANT TO SPEAK ON THE CONDITIONING.

>> . >> STARTING OFF WITH CONDITIONING I THINK IT REALLY -- WE HAVE CAMP WEEK IN JULY SO BACK TO WHEN YOU WERE ASKING WHEN IT STARTED WE DO -- WHEN WE ANNOUNCED THE SETTLE WE HAVE THREE OR FOUR DAYS OF WITH A WE CALL CAMP WEEK WHERE WE LEARN THE FIRST NUMBER AND MEET ALL THE NEW MEMBER AND DO ALL THE SOCIAL ACTIVITIES.

AND DURING THAT WEEK I KIND OF INTRODUCE MYSELF AND I PLAN SOME RELAY RACES. SO I KIND OF DO THAT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, WE START REHEARSAL WITH THAT.

CONDITIONING IS ALWAYS FIRST BECAUSE THEN WE'RE A LITTLE TIRED AND WE START SINGING AND IT'S GOOD PRACTICE FOR THAT.

AND LATER IN OUR SEASON WHEN WE HAVE OUR WHOLE SHOW LEARNED WE LIKE TO RUN THE STAIRS IN OUR AUDITORIUM AND SING A SET FOR 20 MINUTES SO WE'RE UP AND DOWN THE STAIRS SINGING SO THAT'S HOW WE GET USEDTY THE THAT. BUT WE TALK ABOUT TURNS TAKING BREATHS AND PEOPLE TAKE OVERFOR YOU IF NEEDED SO IT'S KIND OF A

SHARED TECHNIQUE. >> IS PLANNING ON DOING ANY PERFORMING OR SINGING AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? SHOW OF HANDS MAYBE? FEEL FREE TO SHARE.

>> HI EVERYONE. I'M ACTUALLY NOT LIKE MAJORING IN MUSIC BUT I'M IN A CONCERT CHOIR AT MY SCHOOL SO I'M GOING TO CONTINUE DOING THAT AND I HOPE TO DO THAT THROUGHOUT MY LIFE BUT I KNOW SHE'S A BIG MUSIC PERSON.

>> SO I'M TAKING A GAP YEAR SO I CAN WORK ON MUSIC.

I WRITE MY OWN MUSIC AND I HAVE A SONG OUT RIGHT NOW THAT I RELEASED IN 2020 IN THE PANDEMIC.

>> TELL ME THE NAME OF THAT. >> IT'S CALLED SILENT.

IT'S ON SONG CLOUD. BUT YEAH THAT'S WHAT I'M PLANNING ON DOING FOR ANY GAP YEAR BECAUSE I REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT MUSIC AND I'VE BEEN SINGING LIKE, IN THE WOMB, SO

THAT'S WHATA. PLANNING ON DOING. >> ONE OF OUR STUDENT LEADERS KYLIE HAS CHOREOGRAPHED FOR ENSEMBLES AT FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL AND SHE'S DOING GOO DANCE AT FALL STATE UNIVERSITY.

AND SHE COULDN'T BE HERE BECAUSE HE'S AT PLAY REHEARSAL BUT SHE IS SOMETHING I'M DEFINITELY GOING TO HIRE TO COME BACK AND HELP WITH THE BEGINNING AND INTERMEDIATE GROUPS GROUPS SOS ASPIRE TO BE A SHOW CHOIR COG CHOREOGRAPHER.

ANYTHING KIND OF IN SPIRED FROM THEIR EXPERIENCE AT FISHERS HIGH

SCHOOL. >> SO CAN I ASK YOU THE INTRODUCE YOURSELF? BECAUSE YOU LOOK LIKE YOU'RE A

STUDENT. >> YEAH I'VE BEEN AT FISHERS

HIGH SCHOOL FOR FIVE YEARS NOW. >> CAN WE HAVE THE GIRLS INTRODUCE THEMSELVES AND WHAT LEADERSHIP ROLE THEY HAVE.

>> HI MY NAME IS MOLLY KELLY, I'M A SENIOR AND I'M CO-PRESIDENT AND I'M GOING TO MARION UNIVERSITY NEXT YEAR AND

I'LL DO DOING CONCERT CHOIR. >> I'M LAUREN WET SELL I'M CO-PRESIDENT WITH MOLLY AND I PLAN ON GOING TO BALL STATE UNIVERSITY TO STUDY SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY.

>> I'M RACHEL DELAUREN, I'M NOT ON THE LEADERSHIP TEAM BUT I AM GOING TOISHA BLOOMINGTON TO STUDY CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY AND HOPEFULLY BECOME A CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST.

>> RACHEL IS ONE OF OUR LEAD SOLOISTS THIS YEAR.

[00:15:04]

>> I'M DELLA, I'M THE CONDITIONING COACH AND I'M GOING TO IU BLOOMINGTON TO STUDY ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENTS.

>> I'M KAY LONG BALL I'M THE SPRAY NOW AND SECTION LEAD AND

I'M GOING TO PURDUE UNIVERSITY. >>> HI.

I'M ODESSA HENRY AND I'M THE ALTO SECTION LEADER AND I'M

TAKING A GAP YEAR. >> HI.

I'M OLIVIA NORRIS, I'M NOT A MEMBER ON THE LEADERSHIP TEAM BUT I'M GOING TO RUTGERS UNIVERSITY TO STUDY CHEMISTRY

AND BE ON THEIR TRACK TEAM. >>> HI.

I'M SR ARE AND I'M A JUNIOR SO I HAVE ONE MORE YEAR NEXT YEAR.

>> HI. I'M ABBY, I'M AL ALSO JUNIOR SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING YET BUT I'M THE ALTO SECTION LEADER.

>> AND I HAVE A FEW MORE COMMENTS AND A QUESTION.

FIRST OF ALL I AM RECEIVE IMPRESSED ROY NORMALLY YOU GO SEE A PLAY IT'S AN OUT OF THE BOX, YOU PURCHASE IT AND YOU PERFORM IT BUT TO KNOW THAT THIS IS BASICALLY -- THE SONGS YOU DON'T PURCHASE NEL NECESSARILY AND THE CORPS NOTHING IF I WAS AMAZINGND. I DID WANT TO KNOW A FEW YEARS AGO WE VOTED TO UPGRADE THE SOUND SYSTEM AS FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL. HAD THAT MADE A DIFFERENCE?

>> YES, ABSOLUTELY AND THEY HAVE UPGRADED THE SOUND SYSTEM AND THE LIGHTING SYSTEM AND THAT'S BEEN AMAZING.

IT'S BEEN INCREDIBLE TO -- JUST THE QUALITY OF OUR SCHOOL AND WE DO HOST AN INVITATIONAL SPOTLIGHTS THE FIRST WEEKEND OF FEBRUARY AND THAT BRINGS IN THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE PROBABLY AROUND 5,000 OR MORE PEOPLE IN THE AREA AND OUT OF STATE COME IN FOR THAT. SO THAT UPGRADE IN THAT SYSTEM DID END UP IN SPIRING MORE GROUPS TO WANT TO COME TO OUR COMPETITION SO THIS PAST YEAR WE HAD THE MONTH GROUPS WE'VE EVER HAD AND WE WERE ABLE TO RAISE A LOT MORE MONEY BECAUSE OF IT AND HAVE A BETTER EXPERIENCE FOR ALL THE STUDENT AND OTHER SCHOOLS THAT CAME OUT. SO YES THAT'S BEEN INCREDIBLE, WE ARE SO GRATEFUL TO HAVE THAT AT FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL.

>> I'M GLAD TO HEAR THAT BECAUSE KNOW THE PANDEMIC HILT AND WE DIDN'T DO IT MUCH TO SEE IT BUT I DID WANT TO COMMENT AND SAY NOT ONLY ARE THESE BEAUTIFUL AND TALENTED BUT VERY SMART.

I MEAN CHEMISTRY AND -- WOW. AMAZING.

THANK YOU. >> THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

CONGRATULATIONS. >> I THINK WE ALSO HAVE A PARENT OF ONE OF THE PARTICIPANTS THAT WANTED TO SPEAK AS WELL.

MR. CHAD BOLSON. >> HI.

YEAH JUST KIND OF TO FOLLOW UP ON EVERYTHING, OUR DAUGHTER ROSE IS ACTUALLY IN THE LEADERSHIP GROUP BUT SHE COULDN'T BE HERE.

I JUST CAME TO PRAISE THE TEACHER.

OBVIOUSLY AS A PARENT I'M BIASED BUT I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN THE PERFORMING ARTS FOR QUITE A WHILE.

I GREW UP IN INDIANA SO I WENT TO GRADE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL HERE. I WAS.

ENOUGH WE WAS YOUNG TO BE INVOLVED IN A HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL AND THE GENTLEMAN WHO DIRECTED THAT ENDED UP GOING TO LA AND PRODUCING A TV SHOW CALLED HOME IMPROVEMENT WITH TIM ALLEN. SO AND THEN I'M AT THE EAST COAST AND WORKED IN MOTION PICTURE PRODUCTION FOR QUITE A WHILE AND I STILL WORK IN THAT AREA TO SOME EXTENT, SO IDENTIFY BEEN AROUND A LOT OF PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTIONS, BROADWAY AND OFF BROADWAY PRODUCTIONS AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN A HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR LEADER WITH HER ABILITY.

AND I'M GETTING A LITTLE -- HER ABILITY TO BUILD A SHOW, TO HAVE NARRATIVE FLOW IN THE SHOW, TO BE ABLE TO TWEAK THINGS, TO ACCEPT CRITICISM, TO REALIZE SOMETHING'S NOT WORKING AND NEEDS TO CHANGE, THE COSTUMING IS ALMOST ALWAYS OUTSTANDING, SO IT'S A RARE -- I WOULD SAY THAT A HIGH SCHOOL HAS A PERSON AS CAPABLE AS SHE IS AND I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THE BOARD'S

AWARE OF THAT. >> THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

IF YOU LADIES WANT TO STEP OVER HERE WE WILL GET A PICTURE.

[3. Consent Agenda ]

[00:20:55]

>>> NEXT UP WE HAVE OUR CONSENT AGENDA.

OH YEAH. GO AHEAD.

>> SO NO OBJECTIONS OR ANYTHING, THIS IS A POSITIVE.

I WANTED TO LET EVERYBODY KNOW THAT AT OUR LAST BOARD MEETING I MADE A EXEMPT AND SHARED WHAT JUNETEENTH WAS AND I SAID THEY GOT EACH OF YOU A FLAG. YOUR FLAGS HAVE ARRIVED AND I'M GOING TO HAMMOND HAND THEM OUT TO YOU BECAUSE WE HAVE THAT IN OUR CONSENT AGENDA TONIGHT TO ADD THAT TO OUR CALENDAR AS A -- I'M ASSUMING IT'S A PAID HOLIDAY FOR OUR STAFF AND TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT. SO I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNEW THAT YOU GUYS GOT YOUR FLAGS.

>> THANK YOU. AND IF YOU NEED A MOTION FOR THE CONSENT AGENDA I -- MOTION TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS

PRESENTED. >> SECOND.

>> WE HAVE A MOTION BY SUSAN A SECOND BY SARAH PARKS-REESE.

>> MICHELLE FULL HALTER. >> YES.

>> BRAD BOYER. >> YES.

>> SARAH DONSBACH. >> YES.

>> SARAH PARKS-REESE. >> YES.

>> SUSAN THOMAS. >> YES.

>> I'M A YES. MOTION PASSES 6-0.

[4. Information Items/Public Comments will be accepted per Board Policy (B05.07) ]

>> THANK YOU. NEXT UP WE HAVE OUR INFORMATION ITEM ASKS FIRST UP WE HAVE THE PARENT SQUARE.

>> . >> GOOD EVENING.

FOR THE LAST ABOUT 13 YEARS WE'VE BEEN USING SCHOOL MESSENGER AS OUR COMMUNICATION PLATFORM.

IT'S BEEN BRANDED AS MONTHS FAMILY MEMBERS KNOW AS SKY ALERT AND IT'S SERVED US WELL BUT WE HAVE HAD SOME INFORMATION FROM ANOTHER PROVIDER THAT PROVIDES US MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO MOVE -- TO DO MORE THINGS AND SOME I THINK BETTER THINGS FOR OUR FAMILIES. SO TONIGHT I'M SHARING WITH YOU OUR GOAL TO MOVE FOR THE WITH PARENT SQUARE AS OUR NEW MASS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. PARENT SQUARE WILL ACT MUCH LIKE WHAT WE CURRENTLY HAVE WITH SKYLER.

WE'LL BE ABLE TO DO MASS COMMUNICATIONS VIA VOICE AND TEXT CAWS CALLS. BUT IT WILL GO A LITTLE FURTHER THAN SOME OF THE CAPABILITY THAT WE HAVE NOW.

FOR EXAMPLE PARENTS CAN ACCEPT WHAT LANGUAGE THEY WISH THEIR MESSAGES TO BE TRANSLATED INTO. WHILE THAT FEATURE IS AVAILABLE IN SKY ALERT IT'S CLUNKY, SO WE HAVEN'T UTILIZED EIGHT LOT AND IT'S REALLY ONLY SET FOR ONE LANGUAGE PER HOUSEHOLD PER STUDENT, AND SO THAT HASN'T REALLY HELPED IF YOU HAVE TO DIFFERENT LANGUAGING GOING. AS BACKGROUND WE HAVE OTHER 47 CANCEL IN SKY ALERT BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE KIDS YOU CAN HAVE COUNTED MULTIPLE TIMES.

AND WE HAVE OVER 40 PREFERRED HANDLES THAT PARENTS HAVE ASKED FOR INFORMATION TO BE TRANSLATED INTO WHICH WE DO RIGHT NOW.

OUTSIDE OF ENGLISH THE TOP THREE ARE SPANISH, ARABIC AND PUJA BI BY. THERE IS A PARENT APP THAT PARENTS CAN SIGN UP FOR OR LOG INTO AS WELL AS A WEB INTERFACE AND THE NICE THING ABOUT THE APP IS WHEN YOU RECEIVE THE NOTIFICATIONS THOSE NOTIFICATION STAY WITHIN THE APP, SO IF YOU READ SOMETHING BUT YOU FORGOT WHAT IT WAS YOU CAN GO BACK AND SEE THE MESSAGE ARCHIVES. PARENTS CAN ALSO SET THEIR

[00:25:04]

PREFERRED TIMES ON WHEN THEY WANT TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS.

MAYBE THEY DON'T WANT TO RECEIVE CALLS AT 5:15 IN THE MORNING, MAYE THEIR KIDS ARE SLEEPING IN AND THEY WANT TO WAIT UNTIL 6:30. HOWEVER IF WE SEND ANYTHING OUT AS AN EMERGENCY CALL THAT OVERRIDED ALL ALERTS BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY EMERGENCY EMERGENCY ED TO TAKE PRECEDENT.

WE CURRENTLY USE SKY ALERT TO SENT OUT TESTING REPORTS SUCH AS I LEARN, I READ THOSE RESULTS AS A SECURE DOCUMENT SO WE CAN UPLOAD THE PDF BUT IT'S LIMITED THAT IF WE HAVE SOME STUDENTS RECEIVING ONE PAGE OR SOME RECEIVING TWO IT CAN ONLY SEND THE FIRST PAGE SO WE HAVE ABOUT USUALLY OUR JUNIOR HIGH WE HAVE 250 STUDENTS PER JUNIOR HIGH WE HAVE TO SEND A SEPARATE ALERT.

WHEN WE SEND RESULTS YOU CAN HAVE TWO OR THREE ERUPTS DEPENDING OP THE GRADE LEVEL. WE HAVE TO SEND THAT ALERT THREE TIME ONE PER EACH SUBJECT WHERE IN PARENT SQUARE YOU CAN UPLOAD THE ENTIRE PDF AND KNOW MY KID HAS THREE PAGES I'M AND SEND THREE PAGES. AND AGAIN THOSE TEST TEST RESULE ARCHIVED IN THE APP SO TO YEARS THEY CAN GO BACK AND GRAB IT AND MOVE ON. THOSE ARE THE KIND OF FEATURES THAT WE WOULD MOVE INTO RIGHT AWAY; THEY'RE VERY SIMILAR TO WHAT WE HAVE NOW AND BEING ABLE THE OFFER.

THINGS THAT PARENT SQUARE OFFERS THAT WE WOULD LOOK TO GROW INTO WITH OUR SCHOLIASTS STAFF ARE MAYBE EYEWITNESS NEWS NEWSLETTERS. WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO PUT SOME CUSTOM FORMS. WE ALREADY DO A LOT OF CUSTOM FORMS IN SKY ALERT BUT THESE CAN BE FIELD PERMISSION SLIPS BECAUSE THOSE COME AND GO SO WEB SENT THAT KNOWING OUT TO THOSE PARTICULAR FAMILIES. THE SCHOOLS WOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE A SURVEY OR POLL IF THEY NEED A QUICK PIECE OF INVESTIGATION, THEY CAN GATHER THAT BY SENDING THAT OUT.

SO ONE OF THE EXAMPLES IS FALL VEHICLE JUNIOR HIGH THEY PUT A PTO WHERE THEY PROVIDE A T-SHIRT TO THEIR STUDENTS BUT THEY DON'T KNOW THE SIDES. PARENTS CAN THE ABILITY TO SETTLE UP COMMUNITY GROUPS SO MAYBE WE WANT TO HAVE HFC HIGH SCHOOL, MAYBE THEIR ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT WANTED TO CREATE A GROUP SO THEY CAN REACH OUT TO PEOPLE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN ATHLETICS SO THE FAMILY COMMUNITY MEMBERS SWELL OUR SCHOOL STAFF AND FAMILY CAN SIGN UP TO SUBSCRIBE TO GET ALERTS.

SO THAT MIGHT BE GOOD FOR FAMILIES THAT MAY STILL BE CONNECT TO THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM BUT NOT HAVE ANY KID ASKS THEY STILL WANT TO GET SOME TYPE OF ALERT.

ANOTHER EXAMPLE IS MAYBE COME DECEMBERISH WE MIGHT WANT TO PUT OUT A COMMUNITY GROUP FOR NEW KINDERGARTENS SO THAT PARENTS CAN SIGN UP SO IF WE WANT THE PUSH INFORMATION TO THEM AND SAY SIGN UP, WE HAVE THAT ABILITY. AND THEN THERE'S ALSO THE ABILITY FOR OUR OFFICE STAFF TO WORK FROM TO THE CREATE SIGN UPS SO I JUST GOT AN E-MAIL FROM MY SCHOOL AGENCY PTO SAYING WE'RE GOING TO HAVE THAT EIGHTH GRADE PARTY WE DO NEED PARENT VOLUNTEERS, WHO CAN HELP. MY KIDS ARE SEVENTH GRADE SO I DON'T NEED TO HELP BUT INSTEAD OF DOING A SIGN UP GENIUS OR ANOTHER TOOL THAT'S OUTSIDE THE SYSTEM WE CAN KEEP THAT IN HOUSE. PARENT SQUARE OFFERS OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR TEACHERS SO THIS WAS AT THING THAT WE LOOKED TO GROW INTO BUT ALL THESE FEATURES WE WOULD WANT THE WORK WITH THE TEACHER ASSOCIATION AND THERE'S NOTHING THAT I WANT TO DO TO IMPLEMENT THIS WITH TEACHERS NEXT FALL.

WE WOULD WANT TO EASE INTO IT BEFORE WE DO THAT.

ABBY ASKED FOR ALL THESE THINGS TO HAPPEN IN AUGUST AND I SAID NO, WE NEED TO TAKE OUR TIME ABBY T.

JUST KIDDING SO THERE'S SOME THINGS, AGAIN TEACHES CAN USE THE APP THE MESSAGE A FAMILY. WE DO THAT THROUGH E-MAIL ALL THE TIME. MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY BUT THAT E-MAIL IS GOING FROM ENGLISH TO ENGLISH, SO IF WE HAVE A FAMILY THAT WE KNOW MAY SPEAK ANOTHER LANGUAGE THEY CAN USE THE PARENT SQUARE APP TO SUBPOENAED SENT THE MESSAGE.

THEY WOULD AL ABLE TO CREATE VOLUNTEER SIGN-UPS, MAYBE A LOW

[00:30:03]

LEVEL OPPORTUNITY. THEY WOULD ALSO BE ABLE TO CREATE PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE SIGN-UPS AND HAVE A ONE SYSTEM INSTEAD OF TRYING THE CREATE A SIGN-UP IN ANOTHER OUTSIDE SOURCE. AND THEN WE ALSO HAVE THE ABILITY TO CREATE GROUPS IN PARENT SQUARE WHICH WE'RE LIMITED TO RIGHT NOW SO WE CAN CREATE THE FOOTBALL TEAM GROUP OR WE THE PEOPLE OR CHESS CLEAN UP OR CHOIR GROUP AND GIVE THE RIGHTS TO BE ABLE THE MESSAGE THAT GROUP TO THOSE CLUB SPONSORS AND TEACHERS AND COACHES.

RIGHT NOW WE HAVE TEACHERS AND COACHES COMMUNICATING TO OR PARENTS AND FAMILIES IN A VARIETY OF WAYS.

THE REMIND APP TEMPTS TO BE A POPULAR ONE, WE CAN BRING THAT IN HOUSE SO ONE PLATFORM THAT TALK ABOUT AWAY ALL THE EXTRA FEATURE APPS OR WE SHALL SITES AND PARENTS CAN SET THEIR PREFERENCES FOR ONE APP AND EVERYTHING COMES TO HOW THEY PREFER T. THE QUESTIONS?

>> I DO HAVE A COUPLE. FIRST OF ALL THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THAT THOROUGH PRESENTATION. CAN YOU CLARIFY SOMETHING FOR ME IF? SO WE HAVE CANVASS AND WE HAVE SKY WORD. IS SKY WORD THE SAME THING YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT OR IS THAT A THIRD APP?

SKY ALERT, SKY WORD, CANVASS. >> CORRECT, SO SKY WORD IS OUR STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM, THE GRADES AND TRANSCRIPTS AND ALL THAT. SKY ALERT IS THE MASS COMMUNICATION SO IT TAKES THE COMMUNICATION AND PUTS IT IN

THAT SYSTEM. >> WE'RE NOT ASKING OR SUGGESTING CANVASS OR CHI WORD TO DISAPPEAR WE'RE ASKING FOR PARENT SQUARE TO COME OVER AND BRING ALL OUR COMMUNICATIONS --

>> SO WE WOULD BE REPLACING SKY ALERTS WITH PARENT SQUARE.

SKY ALERT IS NOT SKY WORD. >> THANK YOU FOR THAT CLARITY.

SO I RECEIVED -- THERE WAS TWO QUESTION THAT WAS BROUGHT UP, DOES THIS PARENT SQUARE PROGRAM ALLOW FOR VIDEO AND GRAPHICS AND URLS TO BE COMMUNICATED OR SHARED ON THERE IF THEY NEED?

>> IT DOES ALLOW US TO EMBED LINKS SO WE WOULD HAVE THAT FEATURE AS WELL AND ONE OF THE OTHER OPTIONS WE CAN SENDEN E-MAIL AND ONCE WE HIT SENT WE CAN'T GRAB IT BACK, IN PARENT SQUARE THE SCHOOL CAN GET A POST AND IT'S LIKE A FACEBOOK POST BUT IF YOU FOUND A TYPO THE SCHOOL CAN QUICKLY EDIT IT.

SO WE HAVE THAT KIND OF EMBEDDING FEATURE AS WELL.

YOUR QUESTION ABOUT EMBEDDING MADE ME THINK ABOUT THAT.

>> THE LAST PART IS JUST TO MAKE A POSITIVE EXEMPT, IS VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE IS THE EMILY IN MT. VERNON SCHOOLS AND THEY'VE BEEN USING IT AND THEY'RE VERY PLEASE.

>> IT'S BEEN ADOPTED BY A LOT OF SCHOOLS AROUND HERE.

>> I HAVE A QUESTION. WHEN YOU TANGED ABOUT USING THIS FOR PERMISSION SLIP, WOULD A FEATURE OF THAT BE ABLE THE USE A DIGITAL SIGNATURE LIKE WE DO IN OUR SKY WORD FORMS OR WOULD

WE STILL BE PRINTING THEM OUT? >> NO, WE WOULD BE USING IT A DIGITAL -- SIGNED ELECTRONICALLY SO IT'S HOUSED AND STORED LIKE

THAT. >>> QUICK QUESTION, IS THERE GOB DATA THAT YOU CAN TELL WHO'S READ THE MESSAGE IN THE APP?

>> SO WE HAVE THAT CURRENTLY NOW A LITTLE BIT WITH OUR TEXT MESSAGE VOICE MAILS AND CALLS BUT YOU CAN SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE REPLIED TO POSTS IF SCHOOLS USE A POST.

SO YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO SEE A DELIVERY OPTION BUT ALSO INTERACTION, KIND OF LIKE A FACEBOOK FEEL.

>>> AND I ASSUME THIS ANSWER IS YES BUT I WANT TO CLARIFY THAT THE ANSWER IS YES. YOU TALKED ABOUT SOMEONE NOT IN SCHOOL THAT WOULD WANT THE SIGN UP.

THERE DEFINITELY A SAFETY THING OR AN INTERFACE THAT KEEPS THE DATA SEPARATE FROM PARENTS AND FAMILIES AND THE SCHOOL ADDICT.

SO OUTSIDE SOURCING? >> IF YOU THINK ABOUT DISTRIBUTION LISTS ALL OF OUR PARENTS, OUR SCHOOL WOULD BE IN THEIR DISTRIBUTION LIST AND THOSE COMMUNITY GROUPS WOULD BE A DIFFERENT DISTRIBUTION LIST SO YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO KEEP THAT

SEPARATE. >> I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT SURVEYS. DOES THIS MEAN THE END OF SURVEY

[00:35:01]

MONKEY? >> TO BE SEEN.

REMAINS TO BE SEEN. >> I'M THINKING WE MIGHT WANT A CALENDAR SURVEY IN THE FUTURE. NOT NOW, I'M SAYING IN THE FUTURE BASED ON THE DISCUSSION. AND THEN I'M THINKING OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO DON'T HAVE KIDS IN SCHOOL WHO WANT TO BE ALERTED OF THINGS GOING ON AND DON'T USE SOCIAL MEDIA LIKE A PLAY OR HOMECOMING THERE. A WAY FOR SOMEBODY WHO'S IN THE

A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY -- >> THAT WOULD BE THE COMMUNITY GROUP SO IF WE CREATED A COMMUNITY GROUP SUCH AS MAYBE PERFORMING ARTS OR ATHLETICS THREAD SUBSCRIBE WHO WHATEVER THEIR INTERESTS ARE AND THEN RECEIVE ALERTS.

>> SOUNDED GOOD BECAUSE I WILL NOT HAVE A STUDENT IN SCHOOL STARTING NEXT YEAR. AND THEN SUSAN MADE ME THINK OF THIS. SHE SAID SHE TALKED TO HER PREP AT MT. VERNON, HAVE YOU TALKED TO OTHER SUCCINCTS WHO USE THIS?

>> YEAH A LOT OF OUR TOWNSHIP SCHOOLS USE THIS AND HAVE POSITIVE FEEDBACK, NOBODIESVILLE IS ALSO ROLLING THIS OUT AND IS PLEASED WITH THE PLATFORM. SO YEAH WE -- IT'SD. GROWING AS ONE OF THE LEADING MASS COMMUNICATIONS AROUND HERE.

>> DO THEY CONNECT? LIKE, NOW THAT -- IT JUST CAME TO MY MIND THAT IF YOU'RE HAVING OTHER -- DO THEY INTERFACE --

>> THEY DO. SO FOR EXAMPLE THE YMCA BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM USES PARENT SQUARE SO IF I HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THE YMCA IT WOULD RECOGNIZE ME BASED ON USING THE SAME E-MAIL ADDRESS SO WHEN I LOG IN IT'S GOING TO SEE I'M A MEMBER OF HFC SCHOOLS AND THE YMCA OR IF YOU HAVE KID THIS IS IN NOBLESVILLE AND KIDS HERE THEY WOULD BE ABLE THE HOUSE IT

UNDER ONE. >> COST, WHAT ARE WE TALKING?

>> THIS IS A PER STUDENT FEE. THE COST FOR US WOULD BE $4.50 ANNUALLY. THAT IS ABOUT DOESN'T WHAT WE'RE

TODAYING FOR THE SKY ALERT. >> $4.50 IS DOUBLE?

>> YES. >> AND WE COULD NOT CHARGE A STUDENT -- THAT CANNOT BE REFLECTED IN STUDENT FEES.

I BELIEVE THAT MIGHT BE A KATIE QUESTION BECAUSE IT'S NOT A CONSUMABLE OR A RESOURCE. IT SOUNDS FANTASTIC.

>> WE'RE EXCITED TO GO THIS OFF THE GROUND.

>> THIS IS JUST ME LEARN THING, WHEN YOU INTRODUCE A PROGRAM LIKE THIS WHAT SILO OR BUCKET DOES THIS FUNDING COME FROM? WHAT PART OF THAT BUDGET? MS. KATIE.

BECAUSE THIS IS NEW LEARNING WHERE THIS IS, SO LET'S SAY WE

ALL THINK THIS IS. >> WHAT FUNDING SOURCE.

>> WHAT IS THE FUNDING SOURCE? >> WE HAVE SOME THINGS THAT ARE THIS THE BUDGET THAT ARE BUILT IN FOR CONTINGENCY.

WE HAVE HAD YEARS WHERE WE'RE HIT REALLY HARD WITH THAT AND THEN YEARS LIKE RECENT WHERE WE'RE NOT SO WHEN WE'RE NOT UTILIZING THOSE FUNDS WE MAKE SURE IT'S ALLOCATED PROPERLY FOR

BUDGET 23 AND BEYOND. >> THANK YOU.

>> ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? THANK YOU.

NEXT UP WE HAVE THE ONLINE ACT MOU WITH DR. KEGLY.

>> . >> GOOD EVENING.

I BELIEVE THE BOARD WAS SENT PREVIOUSLY A COPY OF THE M MOU CONTRACT FROM INDIANA ONLINE. IT'S A PRETTY BASIC MOU.

JUST FILLED IN SEVERAL TEXT BOXES AS THIS WERE APPROPRIATE FOR AROUND SITUATION. WE HAVE NOT DIDDED THIS FORMALLY TO OUR STUDENTS YET SO I APATROL AAPATROL CAR MATED THE COST AT 50 PLUS KIDS AND I USED THAT NUMBER BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE WE CURRENTLY SIT WITH GRADES NINE THROUGH 12 WHICH IS THE GRADES

[00:40:04]

WE ARE PLANNING TO OFFER JUST TO THE GRADE NINE THROUGH 12 STUDENTS FOR NEXT YEAR AND WE WOULD FOLLOW THE SAME PROCEDURES AND POLICIES THAT WE HAD IN PLACE THIS YEAR NORTH IN TERMS E REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES IF THEY WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN THE VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION.

SO IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS I CAN ADDRESS THOSE FOR YOU.

SO I'M ASSUMING THIS IS GOING TO BE INFORMATION VOTED ON ANOTHER

TIME? >> YES.

>> OKAY. AND I DON'T SEE THE MOU ATTACHED SO WE WILL GET THAT PRIOR TO -- IT WAS E-MAILED A FEW DAYS AGO

AND I JUST OPENED MINE. >> AND I THINK IT GOT LOST.

>> TO MY KNOWLEDGE IT'S ALMOST IDENTICAL TO -- AS FAR AS I KNOW IDENTITY EXCEPT THEY DID A DIFFERENT PRICING STRUCTURE TO

THE ONE YOU APPROVED LAST YEAR. >> SO CAN YOU PLEASE HUMOR ME AND GIVE ME THE BULL I WANT POINTS ONE MORE TIME OF WITH A WE ALLOW WITH OUR VIRTUAL LEARN? FOR EXAMPLE, BY GOING THROUGH THIS ASYNCHRONOUS, SYNCHRONOUS AND WHAT'S REQUIRED BY THE AARP STATE OF EDUCATION THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT SAID THEY HAVE TO HAVE AT LEAST 50 PERCENT OF INSTRUCTION BUT SOME OF IT WILL BE NOT. SO WHAT DOES THE DAY LOOK LIKE

OR WHAT DOES A WEEK LOOK LIKE? >> IT WOULD BE COMPLETELY OUTSIDE THE REQUIREMENTS THE DOE OR THE STATE LEGISLATURE REACH RECENTLY PASSED RELATED TO SYNCHRONOUS VERSUS ASIN CONOW IS BECAUSE THESE STUDENTS WOULD BE CONSIDERED VIRTUAL STUDENTS 100 PERCENT OF THE TIME SO UNDER THE STATUTE FROM THE STATE VIRTUAL STUDENTS ARE NOT FUNDED IDENTICALLY TO IN PERSON STUDENT. THEY RECEIVE EIGHT FIVE PERCENT FUNDERRING AND OF THAT AMOUNT WE WOULD SENT PART OF THAT MONEY

TO -- [INDISCERNIBLE]. >> AND WILL WE HAVE THOSE NEW NUMBERS FOR WHAT THE DOLLAR AMOUNTS WILL BE? BECAUSE DIDN'T WE HAVE -- AND AGAIN I DON'T WANT TO QUOTE ANY IN YOUR OPINIONED IN YOUR OPINIONS

NUMBERS -- >> SO I PUT IN $210 PER COURSE SO DEPENDING ON IF A STUDENT HAS A FULL SEVEN PERIOD DAY IT WOULD BE SEVEN TIMES THAT PER SEMESTER, OKAY, AND THEN THAT WOULD COME OFF THE 85 PERCENT FUNDING THAT WE RECEIVE FROM THE

STATE. >> THAT'S WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. SO CAN YOU CLARIFY WHAT A VIRTUAL WEEK LOOKS LIKE FOR THOSE STUDENTS IS IT COMPLETELY

VIRTUAL? >> SO IT'S COMPLETELY VIRTUAL BUT THEY WILL HAVE SYNCHRONOUS CLASS AND ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES, SO WHAT I'VE BEEN AN ADVOCATE FOR IS AT MINIMUM AND WHAT THEY TEPID TO STAFF IS TO STAFF UP THE CORE CLASSES FOR THE MOST POPULAR COURSES AND THOSE ARE DONE SYNCHRONOUSLY.

SO LIVE INSTRUCTOR, STUDENTS ARE LIVE AT THE SAME TIME.

HERE'S WHEN THIS CLASS MEETS I'VE GOT TO BE THERE JUST LIKE I WAS WALKING DOWN THE HALL. THE REST OF THEIR SCHEDULE WOULD BE ASYNCHRONOUS AND IT WOULD VARY BY COURSE AND THOSE COULD BE DONE AT -- THEY WOULD RECEIVE PROBABLY DAILY JUST LIKE OUR STUDENTS MIGHT ON AN ASYNCHRONOUS DAY.

THEY WOULD HAVE A CANVASS NOTIFICATION THAT SHARED WITH THEM WHAT THEY HAD TO ACCOMPLISH AND WHEN THE DUE DATES WERE.

>> MY LAST QUESTION IS LAST TIME THIS PROGRAM WAS KIND OF INTRODUCED BECAUSE OF COVID CAN WHAT WE HAD AND I THINK AT THAT TIME AND YOU CAN CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG, KITS IF THEY CHOSE VIRTUAL THEY HAD TO DO VIRTUAL BUT THEY COULDN'T DO THE DRAMA CLUB OR SPORTS SO NOW THAT WE DON'T HAVE AT THIS POINT A MEDICAL SCARE IF YOU WILL; WHEN WE OFFER THIS VIRTUAL FOR KIDS TO DO VIRTUAL CAN THEY STILL TRY OUT FOR THE FOOTBALL TEAM OR TRY OUT FOR A PLAY AND BE PART OF OUR ACTIVITIES?

>> WE HAVE LEFT THE SAME EXPECTATIONS THAT WE HAD LAST YEAR APPLY THOSE TO THIS YEAR AND THEY WOULD BE REFLECTIVE IN THE HANDBOOKS OF BOTH HIGH SCHOOLS AND YOU ALL WILL SEE AT A TOO MUCH DAYLIGHTED BUT WE WOULD HAVE A PAGE IN THERE THAT WOULD OUTLINE THESE ARE THE EXPECTATIONS THAT YOU'RE

AGREEING TO AND SO FORTH. >> OKAY.

THANK YOU. AND WE'RE ONLY LOOKING TO OFFER THIS FOR OUR HIGH SCHOOLS, CORRECT?

[00:45:04]

>> CORRECT. >> AND JUST REMEMBER THEY'RE STILL OUR STUDENTS. THE GRADES COME BACK TO US.

>> YES, JUST LIKE OUR SUMMER COURSES THAT OUR STUDENT TAKE THROUGH INDIANA ONLINE. THESE ARE CREDIT COURSES.

THESE ARE STUDENTS AT FISHERS OR HF AND THEIR INSTRUCTION IS

BEING PROVIDED BY CISC. >> ANY OTHER QUESTIONS?

[5. Action Items/Public Comments will be accepted per Board Policy (B05.07) ]

THANK YOU. WE'LL MOVE ON TO OURA ITEMS NOW AND DR. KEGLY IS GOING TO STAY WITH US TO DISCUSS OUR

CALENDARS. >> SO AT OUR MEETING TWO WEEKS AGO I PRESENTED THREE DIFFERENT YEARS OF CALENDARS AND WALKED YOU THROUGH EACH OF THOSE YEARS AND THE PROPOSED CHANGES.

THERE WERE TWO DRAFT INVESTIGATORS OF CALENDAR 23/24 BECAUSE THERE WERE OPPORTUNITIES IN EACH OF THOSE VERSIONS TO EITHER START WHERE WE HAVE BEEN STARTING, WHICH IS FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST AND BE DONE BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY OR A VERSION THAT STARTED A WEEK LATER WEEK LATER AND MOVED US BACK ABOUT A WEEK LATER. COUPLE THINGS THAT WE STRIVE TO LOOK FOR AS A REMINDER IN THE CALENDARS ARE THIS.

THAT WE TRY TO BADGES THE SEMESTERS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

THAT WE TRY TO END FIRST SEMESTER BY WINTER BREAK.

THAT SEEMS TO BE A POPULAR THING FOR US TO DO SO THAT OUR STUDENTS AREN'T WORKING ON WORK OVERWINTER BREAK.

START THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK HAS BEEN TRADITIONAL FOR US WELL, WE HAVE HAD ONE YEAR WHERE WE STARTED IN A WEEK AND SHALL WE HAVE ATTEMPTED IN RECENT YEARS TO PROVIDE AS MUCH TIME AS POSSIBLE TEEN THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR AND WHEN GRADUATION OCCURS T.

THAT ALLOWS US TO GET GRADES IN AND GET EVERYTHING CLEANED UP SO WE KNOW WHO WILL BE WALKING THIS GRADUATION CEREMONY SO THOSE ARE THE KIND OF THINGS WE HAVE KEPT AN EYE ON AS WE HAVE CONSTRUCTED THESE CALENDARS AND I'LL BE HAPPY TO TALK IN DETAIL ABOUT EACH OF THOSE. WE DID JUST YESTERDAY GET SOME CLARIFICATION FROM THE D DOE ABOUT THEY KIND OF PRETTY MUCH SAID EVERYTHING THAT WE THOUGHT IN JUST RAIDING THROUGH THE LAW ABOUT WHAT COULD YOU TELL MES AS VIRTUAL; HOW DO YOU COUNT THOSE DAYS. THERE ARE TWO THINGS THAT WE HAVE TO KEEP OUR EYE ON THAT WE DIDN'T TALK ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO.

THE FIRST IS THIS YEAR WE HAD TO -- WE NOW GIVE THE S.A.T. AS A REQUIRED STATE TEST FOR OUR JUNIORS.

WE DID THAT THIS YEAR AND WE ALLOWED THE ENTIRE HIGH SCHOOL TO BE JUST THE HIGH SCHOOL TO HAVE AN I LEARNING DAY SO WE COULD PROCTOR THE TEST. WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO WORK WHO OUR HIGH SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION BECAUSE IF WE'RE USING I LEARNING DAYS ELSEWHERE IN THE CALENDAR FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT THAT DAY WOULD EXCEED OUR THREE ALLOWED T.

THERE IS LANGUAGE IF YOU HAPPENED TO PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO WHAT DR. STOKES SENT YOU, THERE IS LANGUAGE THAT BECAUSE THEY LOOK AT THIS BY SCHOOL IF 50 PERCENT OF THE STUDENTS ARE IN PERSON AND THEN DEPENDING ON AGAIN HOW YOU DO YOUR VIRTUAL DAY FOR THE OTHER STUDENT YOU COULD BE ABLE THE COUNT THAT AS ONE OF YOUR 180S AND THAT'S WHERE I SAY WE'LL HAVE TO HAVE A WHICH WAS WITH OUR BUILDINGS TO SEE POSSIBLE TO STILL PROCTOR THE TEST FOR AN ENTIRE CLASS OFN AND MAYBE HAVE ANOTHER CLASS IN PERSON AND OR MAYBE EVEN TWO AND PERHAPS OUR SENIORS ARE DOINGER LEARNING THAT DAY ZERO SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT.

THE OTHER THING THAT I WOULD ADD IS THAT IF YOU DON'T KNOW IN APRIL OF 2024 WE'RE GOING TO BE UNDER THE FULL SOLAR ECLIPSE.

I WILL -- AS LONG AS IT'S NOT CLOUDY, CORRECT.

IF YOU REMEMBER WHEN WE DID THIS THE LAST TIME, THERE WAS CONSIDER I DON'T -- I DON'T KNOO DESCRIBE IT.

[00:50:06]

EVERYBODY DID OKAY, THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THAT EXPERIENCE AND THIS ONE IS IT'S GOING TO BE A MORE -- I GUESS A FULLER EXPERIENCE OR MAYBE A DARKER EXPERIENCE SO WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO AS WE GET CLOSER TO THAT TALK ABOUT -- I MEAN, CERTAINLY ONE SUGGESTION THAT WAS MADE WAS WE COULD MOVE -- IT IS THE MONDAY OF SPRING BREAK, WE COULD MOVE THE OUR TRADITIONAL DAY OFF FROM THE FRIDAY BEFORE SPRING BREAK TO THE MONDAY AFTER AND EVERYBODY WOULD JUST BE HOME.

THE EDUCATOR IN ME SAYS WE'RE MISSING A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE SOME EDUCATION WHILE ALSO BEING ATTENTIVE TO THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS. SO THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT WE LEAVE THE CALENDAR THE WAY IT IS AND AS WE GET CLOSER TO THAT DATE WE NAVIGATE THAT THE BEST WE CAN BY

HAVING OUR STUDENTS HERE. >> AND THAT'S THE 23/24?

>> THAT IS THE 23/24 AND I CAN PULL IT UP.

IT IS APRIL 8. YES.

>> AND BOTH DRAFTS THEY HAVE THE FRIDAY BEFORE, IS THAT CORRECT? SO THEY BOTH DO BUT YOU'RE JUST SAYING THAT IT'S SOMETHING TO CONSIDER LATER. WE CAN ALWAYS AMEND PROBABLY TO MOVE TO THAT MONDAY AND HAVE THAT ONE OFF WELL BECAUSE IT'S BREAK AND KNOWING HOW OUR COMMUNITY HAS THAT MARKED AS A DAY OFF I'M NOT NECESSARILY ADVOCATING THAT WE CHANGE IT MOVING FORWARD. CERTAINLY THAT'S SOMETHING WE CAN DO NOW OR IN THIS PROCESS, I'M JUST SUGGESTING THAT WE CAN GO TO SCHOOL THAT DAY AND IF WE NEED TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS BECAUSE OF THE ECLIPSE WE CAN DO THAT. BUT IT WOULDN'T JUST BE OFF THE

WHOLE DAY. >> BECAUSE PART OF THE ISSUE IS THE STUDENTS WILL BE RIDING THE BUS DURING THE FULL -- AND WHEN IT STARTS TO COME OUT AND THEY'LL BE STARING --

>> CORRECT. >> NOT NECESSARILY THE FULL SERVICE THAT SUPERVISION WE WOULD WANT.

>> BUS DRIVER CAN'T. >> BUT PERHAPS IT WOULD MEAN AN

EARLY RELEASE DAY. >> I WOULD HOPE THE DEPARTMENT OF ED WOULDWORK WITH SCHOOL DISTRICTS ON THAT.

>> I'M GLAD YOU BRING THAT UP BECAUSE THEY'RE CREATING AN FAQ BUT THEY'RE DOING SO BASED ON QUESTIONS THE SCHOOLS ARE SENT SENDING BUT I'M THINKING THIS MIGHT BE AN EXTRAORDINARY

CIRCUMSTANCE. >> MAYBE A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EVENT. AND AS FAR AS TAKING THE S.A.T.

YOU CAN'T HAVE A CLASS FULL OF 30 KIDS TAKING IT IN A REGULAR CLASSROOM. DO THEY HAVE TO SPREAD OUT?

>> THEY DO. THEY WERE DEFINITELY MORE SPREAD OUT THIS YEAR BECAUSE OF COVID. NOW WHEN WE GIVE THE S.A.T.S ON SATURDAYS AT BOTH OF OUR HIGH SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IT'S NOT 30 KIDS TO A ROOM. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEIR RATIO IS. IT'S NOT EVERY KID IN EVERY SEAT RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER SO WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO MEET IN THE MIDDLE SOMEWHERE. THAT'S SOMETHING I WOULD WANT TO

WORK THE BUILDINGS ON. >> THE LEGISLATURE MADE THE RULE AND DOE -- THEY MIGHT HAVE CONSULTED WITH THEM, BUT I BELT THIS WASN'T ON THEIR RADAR BECAUSE I'M PRETTY CERTAIN OTHER SCHOOL DISTRICT ARE FACING THE SAME THING WHERE THEY HAVE TO HAVE ALL THIS TESTING SPACE FOR ONE-FOURTH OF THEIR STUDENT

POPULATION. >> I TALKED TO MR. IRVIN AND ASKED HIM IF HE WOULD INVESTIGATE WITH THE CONFERENCE HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPALS AND EVERYBODY IS IN THE SAME BOAT OF

WE'RE NOT SURE YET. >>> YOU HAVE TO THINK THAT WHEN WE'RE TAKING TESTING IT'S AN ALL HANDS ON DECK APPROACH.

BECAUSE YOU HAVE SOME STUDENT WHO MAY REQUIRE ACCOMMODATIONS SO YOU MAY HAVE TO CREATE SOME SMALL GROUPS SO THIS YEAR WE HAD LONG-TERMLY ALL HANDS ON DECK, WHICH IS WHY WE HAD THE REST OF OUR STUDENTS DOING AN E-LEARNING DAY.

AND NOT ALL CLASSES HAVE FULL OF FRESHMEN, FULL OF SOPHOMORES,

[00:55:03]

FULL FULL OF JUNIORS.

>> IT PRESENTS A CHALLENGE. AGAIN MAYBE THIS IS ONE THE DOE

MAY GRANT A WAIVER FOR. >> EXTRAORDINARY EVENT TOO.

THANK YOU. >> SO CAN YOU RECAP FOR 22/23 WE'RE NOT LOOKING TO DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN ADD TWO FLECK DAYS BECAUSE WE HAD TO HAVE THAT. WE REMOVED AN E-LEARN DAY.

>> WE WENT FROM FOUR E-LEARNING DAYS TO THREE AND THEN WE ADDED TWO FLEX DAYS IN ORDER TO ALLOW US TO HAVE -- IF WE HAVE INCLEMENT WEATHER TO HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO JUST SAY THAT'S A SNOW DAY AND MAKE IT UP ANOTHER TIME, SO YES THAT IS THE 22/23

PROPOSAL. >>> AND 24/25.

>> YEP. >> THAT ONE DOESN'T HAVE AN A OR B IT'S JUST THAT'S THE ONE THAT'S THE BEST ONE THAT'S BEING

PUT OUT THERE. >> THIS IS ONE THAT'S VERY MUCH LIKE NEXT YEAR, THE ONLY ISSUE IS BECAUSE THE CALENDAR ROLL WE DON'T HAVE THINK OPTION TO -- IF WE TRY THE STAY WITH OUR GUIDELINES, WE DON'T REALLY HAVE MUCH OPTION EXCEPT TO START THAT FULL WEEK OF AUGUST WHICH IS THE SEVENTH FOR STUDENTS.

WHICH IS A LITTLE LATER THAN WE'VE STARTED TRADITIONALLY.

I WILL TELL YOU THAT'S NOT AN IDEAL ENDING FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL PERSPECTIVE BUT AGAIN, IT'S A ROLE THAT WE MIGHT HAVE TO WORK THROUGH. THE ONLY THING THAT WILL MAKE THE END BETTER IS IF WE TALK ABOUT OUT THE FLEX DAYS.

>> WE DO GET A LOT OF -- I MEAN I'VE SURE YOU GUYS ALL GOT THE SAME E-MAIL I GOT AND I GOT SOME THROUGH ANY SCHOOL E-MAIL, SOME THROUGH TO THE EXTENTING, THERE'S QUITE A BIT OF IN PUT AND I'VE HEARD FROM STAFF MEMBERS AND TEACHERS TOO THAT SAY WHETHER THEY SUPPORTED A OR B, I HAVE TO SAY IT HAVE AN OVERWHELMING A BUT THERE WAS QUITE A BIT OF PEOPLE THAT ALSO SUPPORTED B. YOU KNOW, IN COMPROMISING TO HAVE BOTH DRAFT WORK, THE COMMENTS I MOSTLY HEARD WAS PEOPLE WANTED TO GET LET OUT BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY, THAT'S A BIG THING, THAT THEY WANTED TO BE LET OUT FOR MEMORIAL DAY AND THEY WANTED THAT SPACING FOR GRADUATION AND I ALSO HEAR FROM OTHER PEOPLE THAT THEY REALLY WANTED TO START LATER IN AUGUST.

SO OKAY, LET'S DO BOTH. HOW DO WE ACCOMPLISH THAT.

SO AN IDEA WAS -- >> BEFORE WE DO THAT WE HAVE SOMEONE SIGNED UP TO SPEAK, SO BEFORE WE TALK ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE CAN WE HAVE THE PERSON WHO SIGNED UP TO SPEAK, SPEAK?

>> WHERE YES. >> MR. B BOLSON?

>> HI. I'M BACK.

MY NAME AGAIN IS -- WENT TO HIGH SCHOOL IN INDIANA AND THIS IS THE REASON I CAME THIS EVENING. I AFTER GRADUATION WAS.

ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO GO TO AEN IVY LEAGUE UNIVERSITY AND MY MOM AND DAD WERE BOTH SCHOOL TEACHERS SO I GREW UP IN A HOUSE WHERE EDUCATION WAS VALUED AND I'M CONCERNED THAT COMING BACK TO INDIANA WITH THE DEGREE OF POLITICS HAS INVADED THE LIFE OF STUDENTS, THE LIFE OF TEACHERS AND THE LIFE IN OUR SCHOOLS AND I SEE ISSUED RELATED TO THE CALENDAR REFLECTING THAT.

AND BY THAT I MEAN THAT AS YOU WERE STARTING TO SAY AS A PARENT AND AS A KID WHO EXPERIENCED HIGH SCHOOL I HATE TO SEE SUMMER SHORTENED BECAUSE OF THE URGENCY FOR INSTANCE IN TRYING TO FINISH A SEMESTER BEFORE CHRISTMAS BREAK.

IT SEEMS TO ME PART OF THE REASON FOR THAT URGENCY IS THAT THERE'S SO MUCH MORE SCHOOLWORK NOW THAN THERE USED TO BE.

I THINK THERE'S A MUCH GREATER DEMAND PLACED ON OUR STUDENTSES NOW THAN THERE USED TO BE SO ADDING THAT BURDEN TO THE KIDS MAKES IT MORE DIFFICULT TO SAY WE'RE GOING TO END THE SEMESTER A WEEK OR TWO AFTER CHRISTMAS BREAK ENDS.

AND THIS IS A MULTIPART HELPFULLY CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM BUT IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT THE CALENDAR BUT THE QUANTITY OF SCHOOLWORK KIDS ARE EXPECTED TO DO NOW AND ALSO RELATESSED TO THE CALENDAR I KNOW A NUMBER OF PEOPLE CONCERNED ABOUT THE DECISION DO SWITCH AWAY FROM A TRADITIONAL SCHOOL DAY TYPE

[01:00:02]

STRUCTURE WHERE YOU HAVE EVERY CLASS EVERY DAY TO A MORE COLLEGE LIKE STRUCTURE WHERE YOU TALK ABOUT SOME CLASSES SOME DAYS AND OTHER CLASS OTHER DAYS. THE CONCERN I HAVE ABOUT THAT IS DO WE HAVE ANY DATA SHOWING THAT THAT'S BETTER FOR THE KIDS TO DO IT THAT WAY? IT WOULD SEEM IN SUBJECTS LIKE MATH AND SCIENCE FOR HIGH SCHOOL AGE KIDS THAT MIGHT NOT BE THE BEST THING. SO I'M WONDERING IF THE BOARD CAN PROVIDE ANY DATA ABOUT THAT DECISION IN THE MORNING OF THE CALENDAR. IT SEEMS TO ME IT'S POSSIBLE TO SHAVE SOME DAYS OFF OF FALL BREAK WHICH USED TO NOT BE A FULL WEEK, SHAVE SOME DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS BREAK WHICH IS NOW HEADING TOWARDS THREE WEEKS AND MAYBE GO AN EXTRA DAY AND STILL BE ABLE TO GET OUT BY MEMORIAL DAY, THAT WOULD ADD SEVEN DAYS THAT YOU COULD EXTEND SUMMER. THE DOWNSIDE IS YOU WOULD HAVE THE SEMESTER ENDING AFTER CHRISTMAS BREAK, SO IN SORT TO SUM UP I'M CONCERNED THAT WE NEED TO FOCUS TON QUALITY OF LIFE FOR KIDS AND WHAT THEY'RE EXPERIENCING IN HIGH SCHOOL WE MAKE THOSE DECISIONS AND NOT WORRY ABOUT THE OUTSIDE STUFF.

>> THANK YOU. >> AND DR. KEGLY JUST FOR CLARIFICATION ON ONE OF THE COMMENTS WE -- THE CONVERSATION ABOUT BLOCK SCHEDULING IS MORE AROUND WE NEED TO DISCUSS OUR HANDBOOKS, VERSUS THE CALENDAR, CORRECT?

>> CORRECT. >> THANK YOU.

SO I JUST WANT AT THE PRESENT JUST AN IDEA I MINE, BECAUSE HERE'S THE THING, NOTES NOT EVERY PERSON IS GOING TO BE COMPLETELY SATISFIED BUT WE'D LIKE TO MAKE SURE THAT OUR STUDENTS ARE GETTING A GREATEST AND OUR TEACHERS ARE READY AND ABLE TO DO WHAT THEY NEED TO DO DURING THE SCHOOL DAY SO I WAS JUST TRYING TO SAY FIRST OF ALL, IT WAS PRESENTED THE ME EARLIER THAT WHAT'S OUT THERE RIGHT NOW ARE THESE DRAFTS SO I'M NOT SUGGESTING NECESSARILY A CHANGE JUST PUTTING IT OUT THERE AS IF WE ALL SUPPORT DRAFT DAY, GREAT, IF WE ALL SUPPORT DRAFT B, BUT IN ORDER TO MAYBE COMPROMISE IT IF YOU WILL, JUST WANTED TO HEAR YOUR OPINION, DR. KEGLY AND MAYBEC. STOKES IF WE COMBINED THE TO DAHL CALENDARS IN THE SENSE THAT WE DO GET OUT BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY AND WE STILL START AROUND THE NINTH.

WHAT ABOUT REMOVING THE FLEX DAYS FROM THE CALENDAR ON THE FEBRUARY 20TH AND MARCH 11TH AND MOVING THEM TO THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR; SO THEY'RE AFTER MEMORIAL DAY.

SO THIS WAY WE ARE GETTING OUT BEFORE THE SCHOOL YEAR OR BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY, AND THEN AND WE'RE STILL STARTING AROUND THE NINTH AND IF IT IS A SNOW DAY CAN WE HAVE TO USE IT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW THAT IT'S ON THE CALENDAR THOSE ARE DAYS YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO COME TO SCHOOL BUT THIS WAY WE'RE STILL GETTING OUR EDUCATION THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR GYRE SO IF I UNDERSTAND YOUR POINT YOU WOULD LIKE THE MAKE THE 20TH AND THE 11TH --

>> EDUCATIONAL DAYS. >> MOVED TO THE END --

>> MM-HMM. >> WELL, IF THOSE ARE SCHOOL DAYS THEY'RE STILL NOT -- THE YEAR IS STILL ENDING I HAVE A

MEMORIAL DAY. >> WOULD THEY NOT BE FLEX DAYS?

>> CORRECTS ONLY IF. >> ONLY IF WE HAD TO USE THOSE DAYS AND IF WE DON'T HAVE A SNOW DAY AND WE DON'T NEED THOSE DAYS THE KIDS ARE GETTING OUT BEFOREHAND.

>> CORRECT. >> IF WE HAVE INCLEMENT WEATHER AND WE KNOW IN AVERAGES AND THE TEACHES ARE PREPARED WE COULD USE THAT DAY AS A SCHOOL DAY SALON WE ARE -- THE STUDENT ARE LEARNING AT LEAST 50 PERCENT OF THE TIME ASYNCHRONOUS BUT THAT WILL NOT APPEASE THOSE PARENTS WHO SAY I JUST WANT MY KID TO PLAY IN THE SNOW. TRADITIONAL SNOW DAY.

SO WE HAVE THAT. AND THEN I'VE BEEN AROUND LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW WHY WE WENT FROM THREE DAY FALL BREAK TO FULL WEEK FALL BREAK AND THAT'S BECAUSE PARENTS WERE SAYING IT'S OPTION TWO DAYS, I'M GOING TO TAKE MY KID OUT AND HAVE A FULL WEEK OF VACATION AND IF WE DON'T GET INCLEMENT WEATHER UNTIL MARCH I KNOW PARENTS ARE PLANNING THEIR VACATIONS INCLUDING THAT MONDAY. NOT TO SAY THERE'S ANYTHING

[01:05:05]

RIGHT OR WRONG BUT I DO SEE ISSUES DISH.

>> >> IF THOSE ARE ARE FLEX DAYS AT THE END AND WE HAVE A COUPLE SNOW DAYS IN FEBRUARY OR WHATEVER AND WE HAVE TO GO AFTER MAY, I MEAN -- --

>> AND HIGH SCHOOL FINALS. (SPEAKING SIMULTANEOUSLY.)

>> WE CAN'T GUARANTEE THAT THERE WOULDN'T NECESSARILY BE A FINAL OR MUMP

>>> LET'S SAY WE HAVE TO SNOW DAYS, THE PINK DAYS ARE NOT THERE ANYMORE. THEY'RE IN MAY.

THEY'RE ON THE 28TH AND 29TH. >> CORRECT.

>> SO WE'RE GOT KNOW IN FEBRUARY THAT WE'RE GOING THE SCHOOL ON THE 28TH AND 29TH SO WE WILL SCHEDULE -- YOU JUST MOVE THE

END OF THE YEAR BACK TWO DAYS. >> AND IT COULD JUST BE ONE DAY.

IT COULD BE THE KIDS COME BACK TUESDAY AFTER MEMORIAL DAY AND PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE THAT'S CRAZY, WHY ARE WE HAVING KIDS COMING BACK FOR THE DAY AFTER MEMORIAL DAY.

>> IF OUR DISCUSS ABOUT THIS WE PUT THE -- MAKE THE FLECK DAYS WHERE WE DID BECAUSE WE THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE MORE USEFUL IN THE MEAT OF THE YEAR, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YEAR WHEN WE'RE KNEE DEEP IN INSTRUCTION, TESTING IS ON THE HORDES SON THAN TO MOVE THEM TO THE END. WE THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE BETTER

USED. >> BUT FOR CLARIFIES AND MAYBE I MISUNDERSTOOD WHAT MICHELLE SAID BUT IF WE DID HAVE A SNOW DAY WE WOULD HAVE THE OPTION TO A, HAVE AN E-LEARN DAY INSTEAD OF USING

A SNOW DAY. >> E-LEARNING IS KIDS ARE DOING

IT ON THEIR OWN, VIRTUAL IS. >> TWO WEEKS AGO WHEN I WAS UP HERE I MENTIONED THAT AS IF WE WERE BEYOND MARCH 11 FOR EXAMPLE AND WE HAD A SNOW DAY WE WOULD NEED TO BE PREPARED TO DO THAT VIRTUALLY SO THAT WE WOULDN'T BE TACKING ON DAYS AT THE END.

>> SO HERE'S MY THOUGHT. I HEAR MA YOU'RE TRYING TO SAY.

IT'S CLEARLY UP TO THE BOARD SO IF THIS IS SOMETHING YOU WANT US TOKING LOOK AT THAT'S UP TO THE BOARD BUT YOU WOULD HAVE TO EITHER MAKE THE RECOMMENDATION TO TABLE AND CREATE SOMETHING DIFFERENT OR YOU NEED TO CHOOSE ONE OF THE PLANS WE HAVE AND

VOTE ON IT. >> THE CONCERN OF FINISHING A FEW DAYS AHEAD OF GRADUATION, EXPLAIN -- GRADUATION IS A CEREMONY, IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU GRADUATE OR DON'T GRADUATE FROM

HIGH SCHOOL. >> THAT'S CORRECT.

>> SO HOW DOES WHETHER WE'RE FINISHING THE DAY BEFORE OR WHETHER WE FINISH FOUR DAYS BEFORE MATTER FOR THE CEREMONY?

>> BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE REHEARSAL THE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT, WHICH IS IF YOU WANT THE EVENT TO COME OFF THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO COME OFF WHICH I THINK I NOW WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE, YOU WANT TO HAVE TIME THE PRACTICE, SO YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT EVERY KID THAT'S GOING TO PARTICIPATE IN THAT EVENT IS AT REHEARSAL WHICH IS WHY WE REQUIRE KIDS TO COME TO REHEARSAL.

CERTIFYING THE GRADES -- THE MAJORITY OF KIDS KNOW THAT THEY'RE GOING TO HAVE THEIR CREDITS AND THEY'RE GOING BUT THERE IS SOMETIMES AT THE 11TH HOUR KIDS WHO ARE DEPENDENT PERHAPS ON THEIR FINAL EXAM WILL DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT THEY GRADUATE AND THAT MAY DETERMINING WHETHER OR NOT THEY CHOOSE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CEREMONY OR NOT.

WE HAVE ALLOWED KIDS THAT WERE WITHIN X NUMBER OF CREDITS OF HAVING ALL OF THEIR CREDITS TO BE ALLOWED TO WALK THROUGH THE CEREMONY BUT THEN THERE ARE SOME THAT DON'T MEET THAT THRESHOLD.

>>> AND TALK TO THEM ABOUT THE ACTUAL DATES ON THE CALENDAR FOR GRADUATION. HOW LONG --

>> SO ANOTHER OPTION AND I WOULDN'T -- I DON'T KNOW THAT I WOULD -- I DEFINITELY WOULDN'T SUGGEST IT FOR NEXT AREA BUT WE CAN LOOK AT MOVING THE GRADUATION DATES.

[01:10:01]

NOW, I SAY THAT -- DON'T HAVE A PANIC DENISE.

I SAY THAT KNOWING THESE THINGS: DO WE HAVE THE COLISEUM RESERVED FOR THE NEXT TEN YEARS ON THE FIRST SATURDAY? YES WE DO. SO WE WOULD NEED TO A, START WITH AN ALTERNATE DATE AND WE WOULD NEED TO UNDERSTAND OUR TRADITION IN THIS DISTRICT DOESN'T MEAN THAT'S HOW WE ALL HAVE TO CONTINUE TO DO IT BUT WE HAVE A UNIQUE CIRCUMSTANCE IN THAT WE HAVE TWO HIGH SCHOOL TO GRADUATE AND WE HAVE ALL TRIED TO DO THOSE SINCE FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL HAS -- CAME ABOUT AND WAS REBORN AGAIN. WE HAVE ALWAYS TRIED TO DO THOSE ON THE SAME DAY AND WE NEED A SATURDAY TO MAYBE THAT HAPPEN.

OTHERWISE WE'RE LOOKING AT WE DID ONE YEAR HAVE A SUNDAY

GRADUATION. >> SO IT'S NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO CONSIDER -- AND AT A LATER DAY, IT'S NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO CONSIDER GRADUATION AT A LATER DATE AND LOOKING AT -- DOES IT HAVE TO BE THE COLISEUM? I KNOW MY SON GRADUATED AT LUCAS

OIL. >> WELL, THERE ARE VERY FEW THAT CAN ACCOMMODATE THE SIZE WE NEED.

AND TO BE ABLE TO DO TWO I WILL TELL YOU LUCAS OIL IS VERY EXPENSIVE. THAT WAS DONE OUT OF NEGATIVESTY BECAUSE THE COLISEUM WAS UNDER RENOVATION FOR TWO YEARS.

>> AND I DIDN'T MEAN IN TERMS THAT --

>> NO, BUT THERE ARE SCHOOLS THAT GO TO THE CONVENTION CENTER. THERE MORE THAT DO IT AT THE CALL SEEM. WELL THEY'RE ONE SCHOOL.

I WE CAN'T PULL OFF TWO IN AN EVENING.

IT WOULDN'T WORK FOR OUR PARENTS WITH WORK AND RELATIVES AND ALL THAT. SO I WOULD SAY NOTHING'S IMPOSSIBLE BUT THAT WOULD TAKE SOME LOOKING INTO.

>> AND WOE WOULD HAVE TO START NOW.

>> I WOULD SAY THERE'S PROBABLY OTHERS THAT ARE BOOKED OUT SIMILARLY FOR THE FOLLOWING SATURDAYS AND SUCH TOO.

SO I WOULD ASSUME THAT SOME OF THAT WOULD PLAY INTO IT AS WELL IF YOU FIND A GOOD THING YOU'RE GOING TO KEEP ON, SO . . .

>> SO I DO HAVE A QUESTION IF THERE'S A MOVEMENT TOWARD LOOKING AT MOVING THE START DATES ARE YOU THINKING THAT WITH ALL OF THESE CHOICES OR STARTING IN A CERTAIN YEAR?

>> SPEAKING FOR MYSELF AND NOT THE BOARD BECAUSE I KNOW SOME OF US ARE IN DIFFERENT -- I MEAN, I WOULD LOVE EVENTUALLY TO SEE HFC SCHOOLS START AT THE END OF AUGUST AND GET OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF JUNE SO WE HAVE SUMMER FOR JULY AND AUGUST.

I MEAN I THINK OF -- HOW INDIANA THE ORIGINAL CALENDARS WERE ON FARMING SO YOU LOOK AT SCHOOLS ON THE EAST COAST, JULY AND AUGUST ARE OUR HOT MONTHS AND I LOOK AT THE STATE FAIR THAT THEY HAVE. IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE FAMILIES GO THERE AND VACATION, SO I'M NOT SAYING THAT IT'S SOMETHING THAT HAS TO BE DONE RIGHT NOW BUT I WOULD LOVE TO SEE US PUSH EVERYTHING A FEW WEEK THAT WAY.

BUT THAT'S NOT WHERE WE ARE RIGHT NOW.

THIS IS WHERE WE ARE ON THIS CALENDAR AND -- I MEAN, I WOULD

MAKE A MOTION IF YOU LIKE. >> WE AT LEAST NEED TO HAVE ACTION ON NEXT YEAR'S CALENDAR IF IT'S THE WILL OF THE BOARD

TO. >> HOLD ON.

NOT EVERYONE'S PRESENTED, I'LL ENTERTAIN A MOTION ON ANY OF THOSE BUT I FEEL STRONGLY THIS THE FACT THAT WE NEED TO MOVE FORWARD ON A DECISION ON NEXT YEAR'S CALENDAR ESPECIALLY FOR FAMILIES WHO HAVE ALREADY MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR ALL THE BREAKS.

WE WERE ONLY MAKING THE TOOKS TO REMOVE THE VIRTUAL DAYS AND

FLECK DAYS. >>> FOR THE 23/24 SCHOOL YEAR AND 24/25 SCHOOL YEAR ONE OPTION, I WOULD ENTERTAIN A

MOTION. >> THEN I WOULD MOTION TO APPROVE THE CALENDAR 22/23 DRAFT AS PRESENTED; DR. 23/24 DRAFT A

AS PRESENTED. >>> AND WE HAVE A MOTION.

CAN WE POSSIBLY SEPARATE THOSE? DO WE NEED DISCUSSION ON A VERSUS B? I CAN SECOND WHAT YOU SAY.

[01:15:02]

I DON'T KNOW THAT -- -- >> DID I SAY IT WRONG?

>> I'LL SECOND IT. WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT REMOVING

FLEX DAYS THEN. >> CORRECT.

>> I'LL SECOND IT. >> WE HAVE AMOTIONS BY SUSAN A SECOND BY MICHELLE. DO WE HAVE ANY FURTHER

DISCUSSION? >> I DID WANT THE SAY ONE THING ABOUT GRADUATION, SO WHEN THE KIDS ARE HANDED THEIR -- IT'S NOT THEIR DIPLOMA, THEY ARE HANDING THE COVER SO JUST TO CLEAR UP ANY MISCONCEPTIONS WHEN KIDS WALK THROUGH THEY GET A BLANK COVER. THEY GET THEIR DIPLOMA -- THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO TURN IN NOW BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT -- THEY KEEP THEM. (SPEAKING SIMULTANEOUSLY.)

>> THEY WOULD STILL GET THEIR ENVELOPE WITH THEIR DIPLOMA

AFTER THE CEREMONY. >> SO EVEN IF A STUDENT HASN'T

COMPLETED IT THEY WALK, AND. >> THEY ARE GETTING IT JUST NOT

WHEN THEY SHAKE HANDS. >> AND THEN ANOTHER QUESTION FINAL SEQUEL SCHEDULE ON THESE AND ESPECIALLY THE ONE CALENDAR ON DRAFT A OF 24/25 -- NO, 23/ 23/24.

I KNOW IN THE PAST THE WAY TIMES HAVE WORKED IS THE FIRST DAY OF FINALS THERE'S ONE AND THEN FOR THE ADDITIONAL THREE DAYS

THERE'S TWO FINALS PER DAY. >> AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL.

WE HAVE DONE THAT, YES. >> AND JUST BECAUSE TEACHERS ARE GOING TO HAVE TO GRADE THOSE THE LAST DAY OF FINALS, TESTS I WOULD HOPE WE WOULD REVERSE THAT.

THEY WOULD HAVE TO GRADE THEM QUICKLY AND FLIP-FLOP IT AND TWO; TWO, TWO AND THE LAST DAY IS ONE FINAL.

>> PART OF THE REASON WE DO THAT IS BECAUSE THEY'RE HAVING A FULL DAY OF CLASS AND THEN THE TABLE. SO WE WOULDN'T BRING KIDS IN FOR ONE PERIOD IS MY POINT AND THEY WOULDN'T HAVE A REASON -- WANT TO GIVE YOU THE AWARD FOR THE GREAT MEMORY, I LOOKED UP AFTER LAST MEETING 1987 WAS WHEN WE BROUGHT ON THE 180 DAY CALENDAR. HERE YOU CAN -- MOMENTOUS CALENDAR. BACK IN -- NOT TOO TERRIBLY LONG AGO THERE WERE TIME WHEN HIGH SCHOOLS WOULD GIVE ALL THEIR FINALS IN ONE DAY TO A SENIOR CLASS AND SAY YOUR GONE AND THE UNDERCLASS MEN WOULD GO FOR TWO OR THREE MORE DAYS.

A LOT OF PEOPLE REMEMBER THAT AND YOU CAN'T COULD YOU TELL COS

INSTRUCTIONAL DAYS ANYMORE. >> EVEN IF THEY'RE SENIORS THEY

HAVE TO GO 180 DAYS. >> AND THAT WAS DIFFICULT IF EVER A STUDENT TO TAKE EVERY TEST IN ONE DAY.

BRAD WE KNOW YOU CAN DO IT BUT HEY.

>> I JUST HAVE ONE QUICK CLARIFIES.

SO BETWEEN DRAFT A AND B, BOTH OF THEM HAVE FINALS HAPPENING

BEFORE WINTER BREAK? >> THAT'S CORRECT.

>> THANK YOU. >> OKAY, WE HAVE A MOTION AND SECOND, IF THERE'S NO FURTHER DISCUSS WE'LL HAVE IN AN JANET

CALL FOR THE VOLT. >> SUSAN TOM.

>> YES. >> SARAH PARKS-REESE.

>> YES. >> SARAH DONSBACH.

>> BRAD BOYER. >> YES.

>> MICHELLE FULLHART. >> YES.

AND I'M A YES. THANK YOU VERY MUCH DR. KEGLY.

>> MOTION PASSES 6-0. >> NEXT UP WE HAVE OUR INTERESTING DRIVER TRAINEES WITH ZACH MCKINNEY.

>> GOOD EVENING. HOWEVER YOU? SO I WANT TO START BY SAYING WITH JEFF'S FLUKING PLUG I SENT EVERY MESSAGES OUT AS AN EMERGENCY.

SO THIS MORNING I BRING FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION MAKING SURE WE ESTABLISH A DRIVER TRAINING RATE AT $19.50 PER HOUR.

THAT LANGUAGE CURRENTLY EXISTS SO THIS IS A NEUTRAL CHALLENGE BUT IT IS SPECIFIC LANGUAGE. RIGHT NOW THERE ARE VARIANCES.

[01:20:01]

THE REASON THIS CAME TO LIGHT IS WITH THE NEW FEDERAL REGULATIONS WITH EARLY LEARNING DRIVER TRAINING SO ELDT, WE HAVE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF HOURS SO OUR DRIVERS THAT COME INTO US NEW HAVE TO GO THROUGH 60 HOURS OF TRAINING SO IT'S IMPERATIVE WE CAN PAY TO ATTRACT THE EMPLOYEES SO THIS EVENING I'M BRINGING FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION WE APPROVE THE $19.50 PER HOUR.

>>> OKAY. ANY QUESTIONS?

>> I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE BUS DRIVER

TRAINEE RATE AS PRESENTED. >> I'LL SECOND.

>> WE HAVE A MOTION BY MICHELLE AND A SECOND BY SUSAN.

>> MICHELLE FULLHART. >> YES.

>> BRAD BOYER. >> YES.

>> SARAH DONSBACH. >> SARAH PARKS-REESE.

>> YES. >> SUSAN THOMAS, YES.

>> AND I'M A YES. MOTION PASSES 6-0.

>> IS $19.50 AN HOUR IS THAT A BASE RATE?

>> NO, IT NEEDED TO BE.LESS THAN WHAT A CDL DRIVER WOULD BE BUT HIGHER THAN THE LOWEST RATE IN OUR DEPARTMENT WHICH IS OUR HOURLY RATE IF YOU RECALL SO OUR MOWER HOURLY RATE FOR GARAGE HELP IS $16 AN HOUR SO OUR BEGINNING LEVEL FIRST TIER IS ROUGHLY IN THAT 23-DOLLAR AN HOUR RAIN AND CHANGE.

SO WE WANTED TO MAKE SURE IT WAS LESS THAN THAT BUT OBVIOUSLY NOT AT THE EQUIVALENT OF SOMEONE WITH A CERTIFICATOR.

>> SO IF ANYONE OUTS THERE IS LOOKING FOR AN AWESOME I'M JOB MAKING OVER $20 AN HOUR DRIVE A BUS.

>> AND IT'S GOT A GREAT VIEW AS YOU GO AROUND THE CITY.

IT'S WONDERFUL. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

>> THE THANK YOU ZACH. NEXT UP WE HAVE OUR GEO BOND HEARING UNDER THE NUMBER TWO WIH MS. KATIE DOWLING.

>> WITH THAT I WILL GO AHEAD AND OPEN THE PUBLIC HEARING.

>>> THERE WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE THE PUBLIC TO SPEAK.

WE DID NOT HAVE ANYONE SIGNED UP BUT IF THERE IS ANYONE THAT WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A PUBLIC COMMENT.

SEEING THERE'S NO ONE HERE FROM THE PUBLIC THAT WISHES TO SPEAK I WILL TURN IT OVER TO MS. DOWLING FOR HER

PRESENTATION. >> THANK YOU.

THIS IS OUR SECOND HEARING FOR THE GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS ASK THE PROJECTS ASSOCIATED WITH THEM.

SO FIRST PURSUANT TO INDIANA CODE 202-6737 BEFORE SCHOOL CORNING MAY SPEND MORE THAN A MILLION DOLLAR TO BUILD REPAIR ALTER OR ANYTHING THAT'S GOING TO BE FINANCIALSED THROUGH LEASE OR BONDS . . . IN OUR CASE WE'RE DOING TWO HEARINGS, WE'RE DOING THE SECOND PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION HEARING ON LANTERN ROADS ELEMENTARY.

WE DID THE FIRST 12 WEEKS AGO BECAUSE OF TOTAL PROJECTED COST FOR THAT PROJECT IS 14 MILLION. AND SO THEN THIS IS ALSO THE PROJECT HEARING FOR THE OTHER PROJECTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE GEO BOND ISSUANCE CLR THE TRANSPORTATION CENTER, DURBIN ELEMENTARY AND 4 MILLION ALLOCATED FOR OTHER PROJECTS AROUND THE DISTRICT. SO THESE PUBLIC HEARINGS AND THE CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTIONS WHICH WILL COME AT THE END AND WE'LL ASK FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF ARE THE BEGINNING OF OUR LEGAL PROCESS. YOU WILL SEE ME FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND I'LL KEEP COMING BACK WITH MORE THINGS FOR YOU TO APPROVE. I'M TRYING THE BEAT DR. KEGLY TO BE UP HERE THELONGEST. SO WITH THAT -- WHAT DID YOU SAY? NO? OKAY A.M. I'M JUST ABOVERACHIEVER.

SO THE PRESENT SCENARIO FOR LANTERN ROAD ELEMENTARY WAS IT WAS BUILT IN 1995 SO 27 YEARS IS SLIGHTLY BOND WHERE WE LIKE TO BE FOR RENOVATION AND THERE'S THINGS THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED

[01:25:03]

WHICH WILL BE COMMON WHEN YOU HAVE 600 PLUS K THROUGH FOUR STUDENTS IN A BUILDING. SO OUR DESCRIPTION IT'S GOING TO INCLUDE UPDATED INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR FINISHES, CAMPAIGN TRAILING GROUP AND COLLABORATIVE SERVICES, MLK UPDATES, PARKING LOTS IMPROVEMENTS. UPDATED TECHNOLOGY, HVAC EQUIPMENT AND REPOLICE STATION REPLACING LIGHTING SO IT WILL BE MORE PICTURE. THE NEXT PART OF THIS IS THE FINANCIAL IT WERES. THERE IS A HANDOUT IN THE BACK OF THE ROOM. THIS WAS ALSO POSTED ON BOARD DOCS SO BRAD I APOLOGIZE. THE RESULT TO HAVE SCHOOL CORPORATION AGENCY CURRENT PROPOSED ANNUAL DEBT SERVICE PAVEMENTED DIVIDED BY THE KNELT EASESSED EVALUATION SO OUR PROPOSE FLORIDA POSED OBLIGATION RELATION 26,000,017 EC 225.

THE PERCENTAGE OF OUR ANYTHING LIKE THAT ASSESSED VALUE IS .30 PERCENT AND OUR TOTALS NET ASSESSED VALUE FOR THE CORPORATION IS 8,562,403,303 T. IN THE DISTRICTS THE NET TAXABLE VALUE OF THE TAXABLE PROPERTY IS ALSO THAT SAME FIGURE.

OUR DIRECT DEBT IS 275,805,000. DIRECT AND OVERLAPPING DEBT SO ALL OF OUR OTHER TAXING UNITS HERE IN HAMILTON COUNTY IS $555,471,060 THE ESTIMATED POPULATION HERE IS JUST OVER 109,000. THE MAXIMUM TERMS OF THE BOND OR LEASE WOULD BE REPAYMENT BY JANUARY 15 OF 225.

MAXIMUM PRINCIPLE WOULD BE 25 MILLION.

THE MAXIMUM INTEREST RATE WOULD BE FIVE PERCENT AND THE TOTAL MAXIMUM INTEREST COST AS A RESULT OF THAT WOULD BE 1,017,225 AND I SAY MAXIMUM BECAUSE WE ESTIMATE THE MAX ON INTEREST. WE DON'T ANTICIPATE THE INTEREST RATE BEING THAT HIGH AND OUR INTENTION IS TO REPAY THIS IN YEAR. THE PROJECTS LISTED PLANTER ROAD ELEMENTARY, TRANSPORTATION CENTER PROJECT, MAINTENANCE PROJECTS AND DURBIN ELEMENTARY. THE TOTAL CERTIFIED DEBT SERVICE IS 51,009,305,000 # 21 AND AREOLATE CERTIFIED DEBT RATE IS .5898. IF YOU RECALL WE'RE GOING TO ISSUE THIS DEBT AND WE'RE STILL GOING TO MAINTAIN THAT .5898 DEBT RATE SO THIS PROJECT WILL NOT COST THE THE TAX PAYERS ADDITIONAL PARTLY SUNNY BECAUSE WE'RE NOT ADDING TO OUR OVERALL TAX RATE. LAST BUT NOT LEAST IS THE TEN YEAR SCHEDULE THAT ESSENTIALLY DEMONSTRATES BY THE TIME WE WOULD REPAY THIS WHICH IS JANUARY OF 20 -- JANUARY 15 OF, FOR 2022, 2023 THE DEBT RATE IS PROJECTED TO STAY SAT 5898 AND YOU CAN SEE WHAM IF NO FUTURE DEBT IS ISSUED WHERE WE LOSE THAT RATE DOWN THE LINE, SO WE DO WORK TO KEEP THAT AS FLAT LEANED AS WE POSSIBLY CANS. THAT CONCLUDES MY PRESENTATION.

>> SO IN LAYMAN TERMS BASICALLY GOING BACK TO THE OTHER SCREEN, THE ITEMS FOR LANTERN OLD INTERESTING CENTER DISTRICT MAINTENANCE, DURBIN ELEMENTARY AND THE DETERMINATION OVARIES LUCIAN OF LANTERN ROAD PROJECT ALL THOSE THINGS ARE AGRICULTURE UNDER THIS BOND AND THE BOTTOM LINE IS THIS BOND WOULD BE PAID

OFF BY THE END OF THIS YEAR. >> IT WOULD BE ISSUED THIS YEAR, THE FIRST REPAYMENT WOULD BE NEXT YEAR AND IT WOULD BE REPAID

BY THE END OF NEXT YEAR. >> THAT'S WHAT I NEEDED KNOW.

THANK YOU. >> NEXT I BELIEVE WOULD BE THE CONSIDERATION OF THE RESOLUTIONS RELATED.

I CAN GO THROUGH THOSE INDIVIDUALLY OR I CAN DO THEM IN SUMMARY IF YOU GUY WOULD PREFER THAT.

>> SOUNDS GREAT. >> SO THERE ARE MULTIPLE PROJECT RESOLUTIONS THE FIRST BEING LANTERN OLD ELEMENTARY.

[01:30:01]

ESSENTIALLY IS FOR A TOTAL HARD AND SOFT COST OF 14.4 MILLION.

THIS RESOLUTION ESTABLISHES THE MAXIMUM PROJECT COST AND THE ESTIMATED TAX IMPACT WHICH WITH ZERO.

RESTAURANT INTERESTING PROJECT IN PARTICULAR THE ESTIMATED TOTAL COST HERE IS GOING TO BE 5.5 MILLION.

THE MAXIMUM ESTIMATED TAX IMPACT IS ZERO.

FOR MAINTENANCE PROJECT RESOLUTION THE MAXIMUM TOTAL PROJECT COST IS 4 MILLION. THE ESTIMATED TAX IMPACTS WOULD BE ZERO. FOR DURBIN ELEMENTARY PROJECT RESOLUTION THE TOTAL COST ESTIMATED ARE AT 1.5 MR. AND MRS. MILLION AND WE'RE ESTIMATING THE TAX IMPACT TO BE ZERO. THE LAST RESOLUTION IS THE PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION RESOLUTION WHICH IS DIFFERENT THAT EVER THAN THE PROJECT RESOLUTIONS FOR LANTERN ROADS ELEMENTARY COOL CAN THAT ESTABLISHES THAT WE HAVE HAD OUR FIRST HEARING, WE'RE HAVING OUR SECOND AND IT DOES ESTABLISH AGAIN THE MAXIMUM PROJECT COST. THIS WAS THE DIFFERS BETWEEN BEING OVERCONTROLLED PROJECT AND BEING AT REFERENDUM LEVEL SO WE'RE NOT A REFERENDUM LEVEL. WE'RE OVER CONTROLLED WHICH THAT'S WHY WE HAVE TO HAVE FOUR MORE RESOLUTIONS FOR THAT PARTICULAR PROJECT. IT'S JUST TO DEMONSTRATE THE LEGAL PROCESS AND THERE'S ADDITIONAL HEARINGS AND ADVERTISE. S.

>> WHEN YOU SAY OTHER REFERENDUM --

>> CAPITAL. >>> YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE PUBLIC TO VOTE ON A CAPITAL PROJECT.

HERE YOU CAN ASK -- ONCE YOU'RE OVER FOR US IT'S ABOUT 17 SOME MILLION. IT'S A CALCULATION THAT FLEXES EVERY YEAR THAT'S PROVIDED FOR IN THE STATUTE BUT ONCE YOU GO OVER THAT YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH A LEGAL PROCESS WHERE YOU HAVE PETITION RE -- SO WE ISSUED ABOUT 300 MILLION WITH NO TAX INCREASE AND KEPT IT LEVEL. WE DID NOT HAVE TO HAVE VOTER

APPROVE IT IN THE SAME METHOD. >> AND THAT IS WHY DEER CREEK ELEMENTARY WE DID NOT HAVE TO TAKE TO A VOTING BALLOT FOR THE PUBLIC BECAUSE IT WAS NOT GOING TO INCREASE THEIR TAX RATE.

>> THAT'S CORRECT. >> BUT THAT'S AL WHEN WE DID THE COLLEGE AND CAREER ACADEMIES AND THE HEDGE -- I THINK -- NO, THEY WERE OVER IT AND IT HAD TO BE VOTED ON.

>> I WOULD HAVE TO CHILDREN THE YEAR AND ALL THE PROJECT BUT YES THERE WAS A CAPITAL REFERENDUM BUT IT GOES BACK QUITE A WAY.

>> AND IT'S NO LONGER ON THE BOOBS BOOKS -- I WOULD HAVE TO LOOK TO BE HONEST BUT I CAN GET THE ANSWER FOR YOU.

>> BECAUSE REFERENDUMS ARE SO CONFUSING TO EVEN ME LET ALONE TO PEOPLE LISTENING TO THIS. I'M STILL NOT HUNDRED PERSIAN

CERTAIN. >> IF I HAD A SUMMARY I WOULD SAY THERE'S NO TAX INCREASE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS AND THAT'S THE IMPORTANT THIS FOR OUR COMMUNITY.

>> SO WHEN YOU SAID THE TAX IMPACT IS ZERO THAT'S WHAT YOU

MEAN. >> THE TAX RATE IMPACT IS ZERO.

>> NO INCREASE TO THE TACK RATE YES, SIR.

>> STILL TACKS THAT WE HAVE TO PAY BUT NO INCREASE.

>> I MOVE TO APPROVE THE RESOLUTIONS AS PRESENTED.

>> INCH SECOND. >> WE HAVE A MOTION BY JANET AND A SECOND BY SUSAN. ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION? SEEING NONE IMHAVE JANET FOR THE VOTE.

>> SUSAN THOMAS. >> YES SCRIBING SARAH

PARKS-REESE. >> YES.

>> SARAH DONSBACH. >> YES.

>> BRAD BOYER. >> YOU.

>> MICHELLE FULLHART. >> YES.

>> AND I'M A YES, THE MOTION PASSES 60.

>> WITH THAT WE WILL ADJOURN THE PUBLIC HEARING AND MOVE ON TO THE HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMY LEASE AGREEMENT AND WE HAVE KATIE

AGAIN. >> OUR HIGH SCHOOL AXED PROGRAM HAS BEEN OPERATED IN AN OFF SIDE FACILITY AND FOR TWO REASONS WE

[01:35:01]

HAVE A INULASES TO EXECUTE. THE SECOND IS THE PROPERTY CHANGED HAMMOND ASKS SO THERE'S A NEW PROPERTY OWNER SO WE WORKED THROUGH THIS AGREEMENT WITH THEM.

THEY'VE BEEN A NICE PARTNER, WE HAVE NOT -- I'VE NOT DONE BUSINESS WITH THEM BEFORE BUT THEY'VE BEEN VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. WE WORKED TO HAVE THE CONTRACT REVIEWED SOD THAT GONE THROUGH LEGAL REVIEW.

THEY PRESENTED US WITH A THREE AND A FIVE AREA OPTION.

THE FIVE YEAR IS CLEARLY MORE COST EFFECTIVE.

HOWEVER THE THREE YEAR IS BOAT ERR FOR US BECAUSE OUR PROGRAM THERE IS GROWING AND WE'RE ALREADY SOME WOULD SAY MAYBE WE NEED MORE SPACE THAN WE HAVE NOW BUT WE'RE MANAGING WHERE WE'RE AT AND THREE YEARS ALSO FALLS IN LINE WITH OUR LARGER DISCUSSION WITH DR. EXTENDED FORECAST STOKES AND THE PLAN FOR THINGS LIKE FES, HEDGE, THE PROGRAMS AND WHERE THOSE PROGRAMS WILL BE LOCATED AND FIVE YEARS WAS TOO LONG.

SO THREE YEARS IS WHAT WE'VE GONE WITH.

IT'S ABOUT A 3.73 INCREASE A YEAR.

THE DIFFERENCE TEEN THE THREE AND FIVE IS LESS THAN $5,000 IN TOTAL FOR THE YEAR IN THE NET COST.

SO WE WOULD -- WE'RE ASKING FOR YOURK TO APPROVE THIS LEASE AGREEMENT SO WE CAN CONTINUE TO PROVIDE OUR ACT PROGRAM IN ITS

CURRENT LOCATION. >> I DO HAVE A QUICK QUESTION.

ONE'S ABOUT THE FACILITIER FACILITY SO I'M NOT FAMILIAR OF IT. IS THERE ANY OTHER TENANTS?

>> IT'S A MULTIUNIT BILLION BUT THERE'S NOBODY THAT BE GET INTO OUR SPACE SO WE DON'T SHARE SPACE WITH ANYBODY BUT THERE IS A TENANT ON EITHER SIDE. I BELIEVE WE TAKE UP 14 OR PERCENT PERCENT OF THE TOTAL FACILITY SQUARE FOOTAGE.

>> AND I HAVE A QUESTION TOO AND I I DON'T HAVE THE SHEET IN FRONT OF ME SO ON THIS CONTRACT NUMBER TWO SAYS THE BASE RENTAL SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS. IS THAT PER MONTH OR FOR THAT WHOLE YEAR? THAT'S PER MONTH, CORRECT?

>> YES. >> SO JUST WONDERING THEY WENT UP EACH YEAR THERE. A REASON WHY WE DIDN'T JUST TOTAL IT AND DIVIDE IT BY THREE

>> BECAUSE THAT ISMENT THE WAY THEY DO IT.

THOSE ARE THE PAYMENT TERMS THEY REQUESTED THAT'S PRETTY COMMON THAT YOU HAVE A BUILT IN ESCALATOR BECAUSE OF THE PROPERTY TAXES AND COST OF MAINTENANCE.

THINK ABOUT HERE THE COST OF SOUTHEASTERN AT 20,000,004 YEARS AGO AND DEER CREEK IS 35. IT'S BUILT IN.

IT'S PRETTY STANDARD. >>> THANK YOU.

>> SUSAN DO YOU KNOW WHERE THIS IS LOCATED? DO YOU REMEMBER WHERE CLAUDE AND ANNIE'S USED TO BE? IT'S IN THAT STRIP MALL. I DON'T WANT TO SAY STRIP

MALL. >> IT'S ACTUALLY BEHIND THAT.

IT'S IN THE NEXT ROAD BEFORE YOU GET TO THE RAILROAD TRACKS.

>> BUT THAT GENERAL VICINITY. >> YES.

>> THE ONE BEHIND. >> I DON'T KNOW WHAT CLAUDE'S

IS. >> IT WAS A RESTAURANT.

DO WE KNOW WHAT THE NAME OF THE TWO PLACES ARE NORTH CAROLINA TO

NEXT TO OURS? >> ONE IS STAR CLEANERS OR

SOMETHING. >> I THINK THE ENTIRE STRIP MALL IS OCCUPIED NOW. ED THATN'T ALWAYS BEEN THE CASE SINCE WE'VE BEEN THERE BUT I BELIEVE IT IS NOW.

>>> REQUEST ONE OTHER QUICK QUESTION, IS THERE A SECURITY JUST LIKE WE DO IN OUR SCHOOLS FOR PEOPLE GETTING NOT?

>> IT'S THE EXACT SAME. THE SETBACK SECRETARY BUDSES YOU

IN. >>> AND WE WERE COMFORTABLE WITH THE A THREE YEAR EXTENSION BECAUSE?

>> BECAUSE IF WE WERE TO HAVE TO CONSTRUCT A NEW BUILDING I'M SAYING THAT BROADLY NOT FOR THE ACT BUT FOR ANYTHING YOU THINK WE DON'T HAVE SOMETHING DESIGNED YOU'RE THREE YEARS OUT SO THAT'S WHY IT SEEMED REASONABLE BECAUSE WE WOULDN'T NECESSARILY HAVE A LONG-TERM PLAN FOR THEM SOONER THAN THAT.

>> THANK YOU. >> YOU'RE WELCOME.

[01:40:12]

>>> I MOTION TO APPROVE THE LEASE EXTENSE.

>> I'LL SECOND. >> I EVER A MOTION BY SUSAN AND

A SECOND BY JANET. >> MICHELLE FULLHART.

>> YES. >> BRAD BOYER.

>> YES. >> SARAH DONSBACH.

>> SARAH PARKS-REESE. >> YES.

>> SUSAN THOMAS. >> YES.

>> AND I'M A YES. DID I SAY THAT RIGHT?

MOTION PASSES >>> NEXT IS THE VICE PRESIDENT

[6. Board President ]

DR. STOKES NOT TO TESTIFIEDS THAT ANDREA REY OUR DIRECTOR OF FOOD SEARCHES WILL HAVE HER LAST DAY AND WE ABILITY THE MAKE SURE WE THAN HER FOR HER TIME HERE. AND LASTLY IMED TO -- WE'RE CLOSING IN ON THE LAST SIX WEEKS OF SCHOOL AND IN THE BEGINNING OF THE SCHOOL YEAR DR. STOKES TALKED ABOUT HOW ONE OF HER MAIN GOALS WAS KEEPING OUR STUDENTS IN SCHOOL AND I WANTED TO ACKNOWLEDGE HER AND OUR ADMINISTRATORS, OUR TEACHERS, ORB FOOD SEARCH WORKERS, OUR SCHOOL NURSES EVERYBODY WHO WORKED SO HARD TO MAKE SURE WE NEVER HAD TO CLOSE ONE BUILDING ONE DAY DUE THE COVID THIS YEAR AND OUR STUDENTS GOT TO LEARN IN PERSON EVERY DAY AND I THINK THAT NOT EVERY SCHOOL AROUND US CAN SAY THAT. SO ITED TO MAKE SURE WE

ACKNOWLEDGE THAT SUCCESS. >> SO ON BEHALF OF MY WONDERFUL STAFF AND OF COURSE THE PARENTS AND COMMUNITY IT TOOK A VILLAGE SO I GIVE ALL THE CREDIT TO OUR COMMUNITY AND OUR STAFF MEMBERS AND THANK YOU ALL AND THANK YOU FOR NOTICING.

[7. Superintendent's Report ]

>> AND IN THE CASE UP WE HAVE OUR SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT.

>> SO JUST A CULL THINGS HERE. I WANTED TO BRING TO YOUR -- THAT THIS YOU ARE THURSDAY IS CHILDREN'S MENTAL HEALTH DAY AND ON THURSDAY NIGHT WE WILL HOST A PARENT'S SUPPORT NIGHT AT FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL WHERE WE WILL HAVE A PRESENTER.

SO PREALLOTS CAN JOIN THE CCA BUILDING BY ENTERING THROUGH DOOR 19 AND THIS WILL OCCUR FROM SIX TO 7:30 THURSDAY, ENTER THROUGH DOOR 19; FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL.

I ALSO WANTED TO TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT THE FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL BAND WAS SURPRISED AND THEY WERE SHE THINKED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MACY'S THANKSGIVING PARADE WHICH WILL OCCUR NOVEMBER 2023 AND I THINK WAS IT YESTERDAY OR THE DAY BEFORE THAT THEY HAD THE SURPRISE YESTERDAY.

IT WAS YESTERDAY THAT THEY HAD THE SURPRISE.

ALSO THIS IS A FISHERS NIGHT. FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL WAS THE SECOND PLACE WINNER IN THE NATIONAL WE THE PEOPLE COMPETITION. WE WERE NORTHEASTED THOUGHED NOT NIGHTS. SO KUDOS TO OUR STAFF AND FAMILIES. I ALSO ANSWERED TO REMIND OUR COMMUNITY AND PARENTS THAT FIND THE BUS RUNS FOR THREE MORE WEEKS, AND DR. LONG CAN YOU TALK ABOUT WHAT TEENAGED THE BUS IS?

>> SURE. HERE'S A GREAT IMAGE THAT EMILY WAS ABLE THE CAPTURE. SO IT'S A PUSH TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL OR FAMILIES ARE REGISTERED. WE WANT TO MAKE SURE WE KNOW ALL THESE LITTLE ONES SO WE CAN PLACE THEM APPROPRIATELY AND CAREFULLY AND IT'S A FUN WAY TO RECOGNIZE OUR CART CLASS.

[01:45:04]

SO IF YOU FOLLOW THE RIDDLE ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND YOU SOLVE THE RIDDLE, GOVERNOR BEVIN GRAB YOUR PICTURE ON THAT AND WE'LL PUT IT

OP SOCIAL MEDIA. >>> AND AS YOU MAY KNOW OR MAY NOT KNOW NEXT WEEK IS TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK AND IMTOT READ SOMETHING OUR FOUNDING IS DOING TO SUPPORT OUR TEACHERS.

THEY HAVE SOMETHING CALLED THANK AN EDUCATOR.

IT WILL RUN APRIL 25:00 THROUGH MAY SIX.

WE KNOW OUR DISTRICT HAS WONDERFUL EDUCATORS OF ALL KINDS. THE FOUNDATION AGENCY THANK ON A EVERYTHING PROGRAM IS A GREAT WAY THE HONOR A SPECIAL EDUCATOR THAT HAS MADE A POSITIVE DID I I HAVE DIFFER THIS YEAR.

SOOTHE NOMINEE WILL GET A CERTIFICATE, A TAYLOR'S BAKERY COOKIE AND A PERMANENT LISTING ON THE ONLINE HONOR ROLL.

SO PROCEEDS FROM EACH 10-DOLLAR DONATION ARE HELP FUND TEACH CANCER STUDENT GRANTS. HELP US THANK AN EDUCATOR TO LET THEY THEM KNOW THEY MADE A DID I DIDE THIS YEAR. AND AS YOU KNOW WE ARE FINISHINGISH LEARN AMENDMENTS THIS WEEK AND OUR GOAL IS TO FINISH BY FRIDAY AND HAVE MP SESSIONS NEXT WEEK.

ERIC LEARNING IS FRIDAY LEARNING APRIL 29 AND AFTER ERIC E-LEARNING AND WE'RE GETTING CLOSE TO THE THE END OF SCHOOL.

AND THEN I WANTED TO DRAW YOUR TAKEN TO OUR DRAFT AGENDA.

I ALL SAY I DON'T WANT TO READ IT BUT A FEW THINGS I WANT TO HIGHLIGHT. WE HAVE SOME POLICIES COMING FOR FIRST READING. YOU CAN SEE THEM THERE.

HOMEWORK, STUDENT EXIT INTERVIEW AND WITHDRAWAL FROM SCHOOL AND RETENTION AND RED SHIRTING. SO THOSE ARE THE POLICIES THAT WILL BE CAN. COMING FOR FIRST REAL.

IF YOU LOOK AT ACTION ITEMS MATCHING FUNDS REQUEST.

AND I'M GOING TO ASK ONE OF MY STAFF MEMBERS SO SHARE MORE ABOUT WHAT THAT WAS. THAT'S SOMETHING I ACTUALLY LEARNED ABOUT RECENTLY SO YOU KNOW WHAT, I'M GOING TO -- IT'S THE MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE PLAYGROUND.

>> YES, WE SOLD ONE PARTICLE MAYBE TWO AND WE SET THAT MONEY ASIDE SO WE COULD MATCH FUNDS RAISED BY P TO THES OR BY THE SCHOOL BUILDINGS FOR NEW PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT.

IT'S UP TO 30,000 I BELIEVE. >> SO IF THEY RAISE A CERTAIN AMOUNT TO 30,000 WE WILL MATCH THOSE FUND SO AS THAT'S ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD. AND THEN AS WE'VE TALKED ABOUT WORLD LANGUAGE RESOURCE PRESENTATIONS ARE ON THE RECORD AS WELL AS THE LITERACY RESOURCE.

DO KNOW THAT CAN WE REMIND OUR COMMUNITY THE DATES THEY CAN COME OUT AND LOOK AT THE RESOURCES?

>> YEP, IT'S THE TWO DAYS BEFORE THE BOARD MEETING IN MAY SO MAY 9 AND 10 I BELIEVE. WE'LL HAVE THOSE OUT ALL DAY AND

THROUGH THE EVENING. >> TO ME THAT DOESN'T MAKE MUCH COMMUNITY ALL COME OUT ON THAT E BOARD MEETING? WOULDN'T THAT BE MORE OF INFORMATION AND AFTER WE HEAR -- THAT DOESN'T GIVE THE MIGHT BE ENOUGH TIME TO GIVE IN PUT AFTER REVIEWING THOSE MATERIALS. AS FAR AS I UNDERSTAND IT THIS IS A REVIEW TIME, NOT SAYING HEY THESE ARE THE BOOK WE'RE DOING BECAUSE THAT DOESN'T GIVE THE PUBLIC ENOUGH TIME.

BUT IF ANYBODY HAD ANY IN PUT OR WANTED TO BRING IT I WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND THAT GET MOVED TO THE NEXT BOARD MEETING.

[01:50:05]

WE HAD FIVE PEOPLE THAT CAME IN AND THAT'S IT AND WE GIVE THAT PUBLIC A CHANNEL TO GIVE THEIR IN PUT BEFORE WE VOTE ON IT.

>> SO THIS IS WHY IT'S A DRAFT AND THANK YOU FOR THAT IN PUT

AND WE DULY NOTE IT. >> THE NEXT BOARD MEETING WHERE WE COULD VOLT IS THIS JUNE AND WITH WE DO NEED TO ORDER MATERIAL. WERE THERE PARENTEDS TON

COMMITTEE. >> I'M GOING TO DEFER TO DR. LONG BECAUSE SHE'S BEEN INTIMATELY -- CAN YOU REPEAT

YOUR QUESTION? >> WERE THERE PARENTS ON THESE

COMMITTEES? >> YES.

>> AND IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN WHEN THEY PRESENTED THAT INFORMATION

THERE WAS LIKE 17 PARENTS. >> I THINK I WILL ENDS UP WITH TEN. I HAD ONE CONTACT ME TO DO A

VIRTUAL SESSION. >> I'M JUST SUGGESTING WE GIVE IT A LITTLE BIT MORE TIME AND TO ME THAT'S TEN PARENTS OUT OF 21,000 STUDENTS. IF I'M IN CORRECT AND WE ONLY HAVE TEN PARENTS THAT SHOW UP IT IS WHAT IT IS BUT I THINK THAT'S

KIND OF BLUNT TO -- >> IT'S BEEN DONE THIS WAY FOR

MANY YEARS. >> I RESPECT THAT.

I'M JUST ASKING FOR -- MAYBE WE HAVE TO HAVE AN EXTRA MEETING.

>> . >> WE DON'T TAKE A VOLT VOTE ON

THE MIGHT BE. >>> AND THESE ARE APPROVED BY THE STATE OF ONES THAT WEB CONSIDER OR DOES INDIANA DO

THAT. >> THEY DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE.

AND AT THE SAME TIME THE APPROVED LIST IF YOU'RE A SCHOOL IN PERFORM REVIEW YOU WOULD HAVE AN APPROVED LIST TO USE.

>> BUT WE'RE PRETTY CERTAIN THESE COVER THE INDIANA STATE STANDARDS WE WOULD NEED -- THAT'S ONE OF THE GOALS IS THAT THEY HAVE TO COVER THE STATE STANDARDS.

>> SO IN HEARING WHAT SUSAN SAID IF THERE ARE FIVE PARENTS THAT CAN OUT IT'S PROBABLY NOT A BIG DEAL.

IF WE HAVE A THOUSAND PARENTS THAT COME OUT WHAT'S THE NEXT COURSE OF ACTION? I MEAN, AT WHAT POINT DO YOU HAVE THE DECIDE TO ADOPT THESE TO GET THE TERMS?

I DON'T KNOW THAT PROCESS. >> KATIE.

>> SO IT'S TWOFOLD. FOR US EC THE PIECE FOR THE CURRICULUM DEPARTMENT WHICH I'M ASSUMING A LOT OF THAT FALLS TO ANNETTE AND THE PROCURE. THE SECOND PART OF THAT IS WE'RE LEVERAGING A FEE FOR THOSE ITEMS.

[01:55:02]

STEPHANIE AND THE TREASURERS NEED TO KNOW AND SO THAT USUALLY HAPPENS IN LATE JUNEMENT I'M NOT SAYING THERE'S NEVER A TIME WHERE WE HAVE TO COME BACK AND CORRECT SOMETHING BECAUSE SOMETHINGS CHAIN BUT LAST YEAR WE DID ADOPT THE APPROVE THE CURRICULUM AND ADOPT THE FEES IN THE SAME MEETING ONE AFTER ANOTHER ON THE AGENDA. WHETHER OR NOT THAT MEETS THE ORDERING BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROCURE.

TIMELINE IS. >> IF THERE WERE A THOUSAND PEOPLE THAT CAME AND SAID THIS ALL STINK, THE FEEDBACK IS THIS STINKS WE'RE AT A POINT WHERE WE STILL MOVE FORWARD BECAUSE --

>> WE COULD OR IT COULD BE SOMEWHERE WE DELAYED THE PROCESS BY A YEAR AND WE BROUGHT THE GROUP BACK FOR DIFFERENT

FEEDBACK. >> VERY GOOD.

>> ONE ADDITIONAL QUESTION. HAS ANYBODY BEEN PILOTING THOSE

PROGRAMS IN OUR SCHOOLS? >> IN OUR SCHOOLS; NO.

>>.WE ARE JUST TALKING ABOUT FROM THIS WHOLE TIME WE WERE TALKING ABOUT THE CAN K THROUGH EIGHT LITERACY.

>> WORLDS LANGUAGE IS SEVEN THROUGH 12.

>> K-6. >> I'M, K-6, NOT K-8.

AND MAYBE THIS WAS BROUGHT UP AT SOME POINT BUT I'M GOING TO ASK FOR CLARITY WHEN WE TALK ABOUT THE OTHER TOPIC LIKE MATH OR STEM DOES THAT COME UP AT ANOTHER YEAR OR ANOTHER TIME?

>> YEP, WE FOLLOW A ROTATION BEAU FOR NEW STANDARDS THAT COME OUT BY THE STATE, NEW CURRICULUM OR INSTITUTIONS THAT WILL SAY GOSH WE NEED TO THINK ABOUT THIS DIFFERENTLY AND IT ANSWERS THE FEE SCHEDULE SO WE'RE NOT WALLOPING FAMILY AT THE SAME

TIME >>> DO YOU KNOW YET WHEN THE MATH MATERIALS GET LOOKED AT AGAIN?

>> I BELIEVE MATH IS NEXT YEAR. >>IVE A PROPOSAL.

WHAT IF WE LOOKED -- WHAT IF WE MOVED THE HAND BOOKS TO AN INFORMATION ITEM AND THEN POSSIBLY LOOKEDDEDDED A AT ADDING -- TYPICALLY WE DON'T -- BECAUSE WE ONLY HAVE ONE MEETING IN MAY, CORRECT? SO WHAT IF WE TENTATIVELY PLANNED FOR ACTION AT THE WORK SESSION AND WE HAVE TIME TO DO THAT AND THAT WAY IT GIVES US A TIME FRAME TO ORDER PERHAPS AND ALSO GIVING THE COMMUNITY TIME TO LOOK AT IT AND COME TALK ABOUT TO US AT THE MEETING ON THE 11TH? SORRY I MEANT THE -- SORRY, I WAS READING HAND BOOKS.

RESOURCES. >>> I SIGH THE TENTH IS THE

DEMOGRAPHIC SURVEY. >> THE 17TH THERE'S ONE THAT HAS

NO TOPIC YET. >> WHAT'S THE 17TH?

>> HIGH SCHOOL HAND BOOKS. >> MAYBE WE NEED TWO MEETINGS IN MAY. THAT COULD BE A DISCUSSION TO

HAVE. >> SO SINCE THIS IS A DRAFT WHAT I WOULD SUGGEST THAT I'M DONE SHARING WHAT I NEED TO SHARE WITH THE DRAFT BUT WE CAN GET WITH YOU THROUGH THE WEEK AND IF WE NEED TO SCHEDULE ANOTHER MEALING WE CAN DO THAT.

>> AND I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE DRAFT.

COULD YOU IN YOUR UPDATE MAY 11 GIVE A REPORT ABOUT THAT ABC ACT AND ALSO ENAN ENROLLMENT UPDATE, PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE

KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT. >>> JEFF?

>> ALRIGHTY. >> ANYTHING ELSE?

[02:00:06]

>> I THINK THAT'S IT FOR ME >>> OKAY, THIS MEETING IS ADJOURNED
