[1. Meeting Opening]

[00:00:05]

>>> WELCOME EVERYONE. I CALL THIS MEETING TO ORDER.

WILL YOU PLEASE STAND FOR THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.

>> I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.

>>> WE HAVE SARAH JOINING US VIA ZOOM TONIGHT, AND FIRST UP WE

[2. Snapshots of Success]

HAVE OUR SNAPSHOTS OF SUCCESS, THE FOUNDATION GRANT WINNERS.

IT WAS JUSTIN HERMICE. DID I SAY IT RIGHT? I'VE HEARD PEOPLE SAY IT A MILLION DIFFERENT WAYS SO . . .

>>> IS THAT BETTER? I'LL START OVER O.

THANK YOU. HAPPY 2022 TO ALL OF YOU.

HAPPY TO BE IN FRONT OF YOU. I'M JUSTIN, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF '07 HAMILTON ASSOCIATION. WE HAVE A SHORT VIDEO THAT SHOWS A COUPLE RECENT GRANT WINNERS. ONE IS HUB AND SPOKE AND ONE IS MR. WRINKLY AND AFTER THAT WE'LL TELL YOU MORE ABOUT THE FOUND.

WE'RE EXCITED, THIS IS OUR 20TH ANNIVERSARY SUPPORTING THE

SCHOOL DISTRICT. >>> THANK YOU.

>>> THERE A SUBTLE HINTED OF WHAT SIXTH GRADE TEACHER IS PASSIONATE ABOUT. HEADING FROM THE WALLS OF HIS CLASSROOM AT FALL CREEK INTERMEDIATE YA.

YOU GUESSED IT ALL THINGS SPACE EXPLORATION, AND THANKS TO A GRANT, HIS STUDENTS WILL GET TO EXPERIENCE WHAT HE CALLS LEAVING EARTH. HIS CLASS MISSION WON'T BEGIN FOR A FEW MORE WEEKS BUT WHEN IT DOES THE GOAL IS TO IN SPIRE HIS STUDENT INTO BECOMING FUTURER ENGINEERS AND DESIGNERS.

THEY'LL PUT TOGETHER PLANES AND ROBERTS AND OTHER THINGSFUL HE SAYS THE HANDS ON LEARNING PROJECT WOULDN'T BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM THE FOUNDATION.

THE PROJECT WILL IMPACT MORE THAN 60 STUDENTS BUT THAT'S JUST ONE CAMP. LAST FALL THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED 31 DIFFERENT PROJECTS AT 19 LOCATIONINGS GIVING OUT

$61,000. >> I WANTED THE STUDENTS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ROBOTICS AND UNDERSTAND HOW A PRODUCTION

ASSEMBLY LINE CAN WORK. >>> JENNIFER A TEACHER IN REGISTERS AT THE FISHERS MAKER PLAYGROUND WAS AWARDS A GRANT

THAT WILL IMPACT 1500 STUDENTS >>> THE ROBOTIC ARMS HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF WRITING, THERE'S A 3-D PRINTING OPTION AND ENGRAVING SO THERE'S A LOT OF DIFFERENT FEATURES THE ARMS CAN DO. SO I'M SO GRATEFUL THAT I WAS AWARDS THE GRANT THROUGH THE HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN FOUNDATION IN ORDER TO HAVE THIS TYPE OF ACTIVITY AND OPPORTUNITY THAT TEN AND 11-YEAR-OLDS GET TO EXPERIENCE.

>> PROVIDING EXCITEMENT, EMPOWERMENT AND ENGAGEMENT.

THE HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN EDUCATION FOUNDATION IS ENSURING WE MATCH THE DREAMS OF BOTH STAFF AND STUDENTS.

>> AND IN HIS CLASS THE SKY IS THE LIMIT.

>>>

>>> SO AS MENTIONED, I'M JOINED BY A COUPLE OF OUR STUDENT BOARD MEMBERS. A JUNIOR AND JACKSON PHIL HOW ARE IN THE SECOND YEAR BOARD AS SENIOR, SO AS YOU HEARD IN THE VIDEO WE ARE EXCITED TO BE CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF IMPACT WITHIN THE DISTRICT. COMBINING TOTAL A LITTLE OVER $2 MILLION SO FAR HAS BEEN DONATED FROM THE FOUNDATION.

LARGELY THROUGH GRANTS. WE GAVE A LITTLE OVER 30 OF THEM AWAY AT 19 LOCATIONS. OVER DURING COVID TIMES WE'VE BEEN ABLE TO BE IN EVERY BUILDING UNTIL DISTRICT WITH SOMETHING. LAST YEAR ALL YEAR WE GAVE OUT 30 GRANTS SO THE FACT WE GAVE AWAY 33 TO US WAS POSITIVE.

TEACHERS HAD IDEAS WE COULD FUND AGAIN.

WE JUST CLOSED OUR STUDENT LED GRANT APPLICATION SO WE'LL BE AWARDING THOSE IN A FEW WEEKS, BUT WE'LL BE SURPRISING A FEW MORE STAFF MEMBERS IN BUILDINGS SHORTLY.

AND DO WANT TO GIVE BOTH OF THESE GUYS AN OPPORTUNITY TO TALK ABOUT THE IMPACT THE GRANTS THEY'VE SEEN AS STUDENT BOARD MEMBERS AS WELL AS OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AND THEN I'LL WRAP IT UP WITH A COUPLE DISTRICT INITIATIVES.

[00:05:01]

>>> HI. I'M GOING TO BE TALKING TO YOU ABOUT THE GRANT THAT WE FUNDED AS A STUDENT BOARD.

SO WE WERE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO FUND A GRANT PROJECT LAST FALL WHICH WAS MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE LEGACY FUND.

THE HF TRUSTEE LEGACY FUND BE RIGHT WAS CREATED BY CURRENT AND PAST MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF OSCULE TRUSTEES FOR HFC SCHOOL SOSES THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT WITH THAT PROGRAM. THIS YEAR SELECTED GRANT WENT TO TRICIA POWELL'S SAVE THE MONARCHS BUILT A BUTTERFLY GARDEN. THIS IMPACTSES AROUND 900 STUDENTS, KINDERGARTENS WILL GROW MILK WEED AND OTHER NECTAR PRODUCING PLANTS TO HELP PREVENT THE CONTINUING DECLINE OF THE MONARCH POPULATION. THE PROJECT INTENDS TO IT OTHERS IN THE COMMUNITY AND EVEN IN THE SCHOOLS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF HELPING THE POLLINATING INSECTS. THE PROJECT INCLUDES A WHOLE GREENHOUSE, GARDEN MATERIALS AND BOOKS NEEDED TO RESEARCH, TEACH AND BEGIN GROWING A BUTTERFLY GARDEN.

SO THAT WAS MORE OF THE SCRIPTED PART.

GOING OFF SCRIPT, I REALLY LOVE THIS OPPORTUNITY, SO A PERSONAL THANK YOU FROM ME, THIS WAS REALLY FULFILLING BECAUSE I ACTUALLY HAD THE HONOR OF GETTING TO GO TO SOUTHEASTERN ELEMENTARY. THAT WAS MY ASSIGNED SCHOOL WHEN I DID THE GRANT PATROL NORTHWESTERN IN THE IN THE MORND I BELIEVE IT WAS MS. POWELL'S SPECIFIC CLASSROOM AND THE KIDS WALKED IN AND THERE WAS THIS ONE KID THAT WAS REALLY CONFUSED AND I WHISPERED TO HIM AND I SAID YOU'RE GOING TO GET TO DO ITS AND HE RAN OFF TO TELL HIS FRIENDS AND THEY WERE REALLY EXCITED. I FOUND IT A REALLY FULFILLING EXPERIENCE AND I LOVED IT SO PERSONALLY THANK YOU FOR THE

OPPORTUNITY. >>> THANK YOU.

>>> HI. MY NAME IS JACKSON AND I'M A SENIOR AT HF AND IN MY TO YEARS OF SERVING ON IF BOARD IT'S BEEN A VERY FULFILLING EXPERIENCE AND ONE BIG THING THAT I'M APPRECIATIVE OF BOARD DOING IS THE VARIOUS SCHOLARSHIPS THE FOUNDATION HAS TO OFFER AND THIS YEAR THE FOUNDS WILL BE OFFERING A TOTALS OF 60 THOUSAND DOLLARS PLUS IN SCHOLARS FOR HF AND FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS THROUGH VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS THAT WE'RE PARTNERED WITH AND JUST TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS AND MAKE COLLEGE MORE AFFORDABLE AT A TIME WHEN IT'S ONLY BECOMING MORE EXPENSIVE AS A SENIOR IS A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. AND TO ALL THE CLASS OF 2022 PARENTS AND ANY STUDENTS THAT ARE WATCHING YOU CAN VISIT THE HF FOUNDATION.ORG WEBSITE AND CLICK ON THE STUDENT AND PARENTS LINK TO ACCESS THE VARIOUS SCHOLARSHIPS AS I BELIEVE THERE'S A SCHOLARSHIP FOR EVERY HF AND SENIOR ON THIS WEBSITE.

AND IN ADDITION TO THE VARIOUS SCHOLARSHIPS THAT THE FOUNDATION HAS TO OFFER SOMETHING HAS A SENIOR AND SPECIFICALLY AS THE SENIOR CLASS PRESIDENT HF THAT IS VERY APPRECIATIVE OF THE FOUNDS DOING IS THE TIGER AND WELL NETWORK, THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR AS DISTRICT TO KEEP OUR NOTABLE ALUMNIS TO BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO RECEIVE INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR ALMA MATER AND WHETHER THAT BE ABOUT ACTIVITIES THAT ARE GOING ON IN THE SCHOOL. HOMECOMING, SENIOR CLASS GRADUATION, REUNIONS AS THE CLASS PRESIDENT THIS WILL BE A BIG HELP AS I LOOK TO PLAN MY REUNIONS FIVE PLUS YEARS FROM NOW. SO I'M VERY APPRECIATIVE OF THE

FOUNDATION FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY. >>> THANK YOU.

I HAVE A QUESTION FOR BOTH OF YOU.

WHAT MADE YOU -- WHAT SPARKED YOUR INTEREST IN THE FOUNDATION BOARD OR HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT IT? WHAT PATH LED YOU TO WHERE YOU ARE.

>> SO MY SOPHOMORE YEAR AT HF I PARTICIPATED IN EXTRACURRICULAR OPPORTUNITY CALLED THE CHANCE TO SERVE THROUGH PURDUE LEADERSHIP, AND THROUGH THIS OPPORTUNITY AT THE END OF THE YEAR THERE WERE VARIOUS BOARDS THAT WERE ABLE TO APPLY TO AND WHEN I READ THE DESCRIPTION I KNEW IT WAS SOMETHING I WANTED TO DO AND EVEN BEFORE WE WERE ABLE TO APPLY THERE WAS A MEETING WHERE FOUNDATION BOARD SAME AND PRESENTED WHAT THE BOARD WAS ABOUT AND I MADE SURE TO REACH OUT TO THE BOARD EXECUTIVES BECAUSE I WAS PASSIONATE ABOUT BEING INVOLVED AND IT WAS A

GREAT OPPORTUNITY. >>> THANK YOU.

>>> IT'S GOING TO SEEM LIKE I'M COPY OFF O OF HIM.

I DID THE SAME THING, I DID THE PURDUE CHANCE TO SERVE.

MY PATHWAY IS A BIT DIFFERENT: I ACTUALLY DECIDED -- YOU DID A GREAT PITCH, BY THE WAY BECAUSE THEY GAVE US PITCHES AND I WAS INTERESTED IN IN BOARD CERTIFIED BOARD BUT I GOT PLACED ON THE PURDUE BOARD BECAUSE SOMEBODY IN MY GROUP GOT PLACED O ON THIS

[00:10:01]

BOARD BUT THE PURDUE BOARD WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE, BEFORE THAT HAPPENED STATE STEPPED IN BECAUSE SOMEONE LEFT FROM THIS BOARD AND JUSTIN REACHED O OUT AND SAID HEY I REMEMBER YOU GUYS HAD ANOTHER STUDENT, DO YOU THINK SHE CAN SWITCH, AND I SAID YES AND I'M VERY GLAD I SAID YES BECAUSE THIS HAS BEEN ONE THE BEST EXTRACURRICULARS I'VE PARTICIPATED IN.

>> SO IF YOU HAD TO TELL ANYONE WORST LISTENING SO THOSE OF US IN THE AUDIENCE AND ANYONE LISTENING ON ZOOM OR O LIVE STREAM, HOW WOULD SOMEONE IN THE COMMUNITY DONATE TO THE FOUNDATION, IF THEY'RE INTERESTED?

>> I HEARD -- >>> IF DO YOU VISIT THE WEBSITE THERE WILL BE VARIOUS OPPORTUNITIES TO DONATE WHETHER IT BE THROUGH GRANT OPPORTUNITY AND SCHOLARSHIP ALONG WITH VARIOUS AFFIDAVITS THAT WE DO AS A BOARD.

>>> OKAY, SO I'M -- I DON'T WANT TO SAY I'M YOUR TYPICAL HAMMER BUT I'M OBSESSED WITH MUD SOCK AND HOMECOMING BECAUSE I PERSONALLY PLAN HOMECOMING BUT AROUND THAT TIME IS A VERY ANXIETYIVE TIME FOR SCHOOL, LIKE, EVERYONE IS COMING BACK, IT'S AFTER SUMMER BREAK, FOOTBALL SEASON IS IN FULL SWING SO WE DO A BOOTH AS YOU ALL KNOW AND I'M TALKING MOSTLY TO EVERYONE OUT THERE BUT WE DO A BOOTH AT MUD SOCK, IF YOU WANT TO SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER THERE THAT'S A GREAT OPPORTUNITY.

GIVING TUESDAY IS ALSO AMAZING. I BELIEVE -- YEAH BECAUSE I WAS DOING TAILGATE AND YOU HAD A BOOTH OUTSIDE AND I WAS HAPPY TO SEE YOU. SO PARTICIPATING IN ANY OF THESE ACTIVITIES I KNOW WE HAVE THE BASKETBALL GAME DAY COMING UP SO STAYING CURRENT WITH THE FOUNDATION IS HOW I WOULD SAY GO AND DONATE WHETHER IT BE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME.

>>> I THINK IT'S HFC FOUNDATION.ORG.

>>> SO SOMEBODY NEW FRESHMAN OR SOPHOMORE WHERE WOULD YOU TELL THOSE STUDENTS WHO ARE SAYING -- OR IS THIS ONLY JUNIORS AND SORRIES? SO WHERE WOULD YOU TELL THE SOPHOMORES RIGHT NOW IF YOU'RE INTERESTED HERE'S WHERE YOU LOOK

FOR THAT INFORMATION. >> I SAW FORMS IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE WHEN I WAS ALREADY ON THIS BOARD SO THE GUIDANCE IS REALLY THEIR BEST ASSET FOR FINDING EXTRACURRICULARS, LIKE THEY'LL GUIDE YOU. YOU CAN FIND EVERYTHING ON THE WEBSITE AND I WOULD TELL THEM IF THEY REALLY WANT TO DO THIS BECAUSE I -- I'M UNSURE ABOUT FIRST FIRST FISHERS BUT THE AX PROGRAM THAT'S HOW WE BOTH GOT INTO IT AND I KNOW AT LEAST ONE OTHER MEMBER SO IF THEY WANT TO APPLY IF THAT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING FOR THEM, AND IF IT DOESN'T THEY BUILD UP OTHER STRONG EXTRACURRICULARS BECAUSE I KNOW THERE'S A LOT YOU CAN DO THE FIRST TWO YEARS OF YOUR HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCE AND THEN

APPLY. >>> THANK YOU.

>> AND I AM THE CURRENTLY THE FOUNDATION BOARD REP AND I WANT TO SHOUT OUT TO THESE STUDENTS BECAUSE A, THEY'RE AWESOME, AND B IN THE PAST OUR MEETINGS HAVE ALWAYS PRETTY MUCH STARTED 7:30, 7:45, PAST YEARS THESE KIDS GOT OUT OF SCHOOL AND THIS WERE LIKE, YAY I GET OUT OF SCHOOL AND SOME OF THEM WEREN'T, BUT THESE ARE COMING BEFORE SCHOOL SO THEY ARE TRULY -- YES, EXTRA DEDICATED. AND I WAS AT SOUTHEASTERN WITH YOU AND THAT WAS A FUN EXPERIENCE TOSS THE EXCITEMENT.

KNOWLEDGE IN THE TEACHERS BUT THE STUDENTS.

ANOTHER THING AND THIS IS MORE FOR JUSTIN, ALUMNI NETWORK, WE HAD SOME EVENTS PLANNED. HOWEVER, COVID SO IF PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THESE EVENT THEY NEED TO SIGN UP ON TIGERS AND

ROYALS.ORG, CORRECT. >>> THAT'S RIGHT [INDISCERNIBLE]. YES I THINK TIGERS AND ROYS.ORG IS THE BEST PLACE. IT'S AN INTERACTIVE DIRECTORY SO IF YOU WANT TO FIND OUT WHAT YOUR CLASS IS DOING, AND THE OTHER THING WE WANT TO DO IS WE HAVE 20,000 NAMES AND WE'RE TRYING THE CONNECT THE DOTS. SO SO HOW CAN WE HELP YOU REACH YOUR CLASSMATE SO HELP US GET YOUR CLASSMATES SIGNED UP BUT WE WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO CONNECT BAND MEMBERS, THERE'S DIFFERENT WAYS TO CONNECT, SO WE WANT IT TO BE A ROBUST EXTRACURRICULAR.

SO IT'S AN INTERACTIVE [INDISCERNIBLE]

>>> AND THEN ALSO PIGGYBACKING ON WHAT JANETED JANET ASKED, BIR PICTURE IF SOMEONE WANTS TO FUND A SCHOLARSHIP, WOULD THEY REACH OUT TO YOU? WE GOT TOGETHER AND FUNDED ONE.

>> I WOULD SIZE YES DEFINITELY REACH OUT.

[00:15:02]

YOU CAN FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA AT HFC FOUNDATION, TELL US -- ONCE YOU CLING ON O THERE YOU SHOULD FIND WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR BUT WE ARE IN THIS BUILDING SO IF YOU STOP? AND WANT TO TALK TO ME BUT THERE'S BEEN EMERGING NEEDS ESPECIALLY IN COVID. THOSE OTHER O O NEEDS THAT AREN'T GRANTS OR SCHOLARSHIPS, WHETHER IT BE MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WE HELP FUND, FOOD IN SECURITY.

THERE'S BEEN A NUMBER OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS IF YOU'RE PASSIONATE ABOUT SOMETHING THAT CAN HELP OUR KIDS I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO REACH OUT TO THE FOUNDS AND WE WILL TRY THE MAYBE COMMUNITY MEMBERS PULL TOGETHER.

>>> AND THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO.

I KNOW YOU'RE A TIRELESS ADVOCATE AND THREE YEARS HAVE

YOU BEEN? >> THAT'S RIGHT, STARTED IN

2018. >>> THANK YOU.

>> THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH. >>> THANK YOU SO MUCH.

[3. Reorganization of the Board]

REORGANIZATION OF THE BOARD AND FIRST UP IS THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS SO I WILL ENTERTAIN A MOTION FOR A SLATE.

>> I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A MOTION.

JULIE CHAMBERS IS PRESIDENT, JANET PRITCHETT -- I'M SORRY, JULIE CHAMBERS PRESIDENT, ZERO A DONS BAAING VICE PRESIDENT AND

JANET PRITCHETT AS SECRETARY. >>> I'LL SECOND

>>> END MAKE A MOTION FOR ANOTHER SLATE.

AND THAT SLATE WOULD BE JULIE CHAMBERS AS PRESIDENT.

SUZANNE THOMAS AS VICE PRESIDENT AND BRAD BOYER AS SECRETARY.

>>> OKAY. DISCUSSION MAYBE?

>> WE HAD ONE MOTION AND A SECOND ON THE FLOOR AND I DON'T KNOW -- I KNOW A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ROBERT'S RULE OF ORDER BUT DO WE HAVE TO ADDRESS THE FIRST BEFORE THE SECOND ONE?

>> I DON'T KNOW THAT THIS EVEN REQUIRES A SECOND OR --

>>> WE'LL GO WITH THE FIRST MOTION AND TAKE A VOTE AND SEE WHERE THAT LANDS SINCE WE HAD THE SECOND.

>>> POINT OF ORDER, ISN'T THERE DISCUSSION FIRST BEFORE WE DO A

VOTE? >> WE CAN HAVE A DISCUSSION.

>>> DOES BRAD'S SLATE HAVE TO HAVE A SECOND?

>> IT DOESN'T. SO NEITHER OF THE SLATES NEED TO

HAVE A SECOND? >> THEY DON'T.

THEY DON'T NEED TO HAVE A SECOND, TYPICALLY WHAT YOU DO THOUGH FOR SOMETHING LIKE IS YOU -- I MEAN, YOU CAN VOTE BETWEEN TWO OR JUST VOTE FOR THE FIRST ONE WHICH I THINK WOULD

MAKE SENSE TO KEEP IT STRAIGHT. >>> IF WE VOTE AUTOMATICALLY ON THE FIRST THEN HOW ARE WE DISCUSSING THE SECOND? SO JUST AS A BOARDS MAYBE WE CAN DISCUSS WHERE PEOPLE ARE ON THEIR SLATE SO WOULD YOU LIKE TO JUST GIVE INFORMATION OF WHERE

WE'RE GOING ON THAT FIRST SLATE? >> CAN I APPOINTMENT OUT THAT WE

BOTH HAVE JULIE AS PRESIDENT? >> THAT'S RIGHT.

>> I THINK THAT WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN MY DECISION FOR THE SLATE.

I HAD NOT HEARD WHAT THE SLATE WAS GOING TO BE, SO HEARING IT TONIGHT WAS -- I DON'T KNOW WHO THE SLATE WAS GOING TO BE AND I THOUGHTS -- I TALKED TO SEVERAL PEOPLE ABOUT TAKING JULIE THE PRESIDENT. I THOUGHT THAT THERE WAS A DISCUSS ABOUT HAVING ONE OF THE NEWER BOARD MEMBERS BE VICE PRESIDENT AND I THINK THAT HAPPENS WITH SARAH BUT I ALSO THINK THAT HAPPENS WITH SUZANNE AND QUITE HONESTLY I THINK THAT THAT'S A NICE BALANCE BETWEEN VIEWS AND DIVERSITY AND PERSPECTIVES THAT WE WOULD BRING TO THE EXECUTIVE BOARD.

AND THEN QUITE HONESTLY I THINK THAT FROM A DISTRICT THAT PREACHES DIVERSITY I THINK THERE OUGHT TO BE A MAN ON THE O EXECUTIVE BOARD SO I SURE HATE TO BE OUT OF THAT IF WE WANT DIVERSITY. I THINK THE SLATE THAT I SUGGESTED DOES HAVE DIVERSITY ON IT AND IT DOES A GOOD JOB OF REPRESENTING OUR DISTRICT, SO THOSE ARE MY THOUGHTS.

>>> ANY MORE DISCUSSION? >> I MEAN, HEARING THE REASONING FOR THE SECOND SLATE IT DOES SOUND VERY APPEALING AND VERY --

[00:20:06]

IT MAKES SENSE TO HAVE A BALANCE OF OUR COMMUNITY, A BALANCE OF PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE SERVING OUR COMMUNITY, AND PUTTING IT OUT THERE AS BEING -- IF THE BOARD DID SO CHOOSE SEND SLATE AND MICE AS THE VICE PRESIDENT, I KNOW ON THIS BOARD OF SEVEN, PUTTING IT OUT THERE OUT OF ALL SEVEN OF O US I HAVE THE MOST FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE THAT WOULD BE ABLE TO HELP AND ASSIST IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE, WHEREAS CALLED ON A SECOND WHERE I CREATE MY OWN HOURS I WOULD BE ABLE TO ASSIST MADAM PRESIDENT OR HELP STEP IN ANY AREAS THAT PEOPLE NEEDED ASSISTING WITH.

SO MY 2-CENTS IS BEING ABLE TO HELP AND I WOULD WELCOME THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN MORE IF ANYBODY NEEDED JUST TO LEARN MORE. SO . . .

>>> OKAY, WELL, I WILL TAKE, I'LL HAVE JULIE TAKE THE VOTE FOR THE FIRST SLATE THAT MICHELLE PRESENTED.

>> CAN WE EXPAND UPON THE RATIONALE FOR THAT SLATE?

>> SURE. LIKE YOU SAID WE AGREED ON JULIE. WE ALSO AGREED THAT THERE NEED TO BE SOMEONE IN CASE GOING FORWARD.

NONE OF THE FOUR OF US ARE ON THE BOARD NEXT YEAR WITH SOME EXPERIENCE AND SARAH WOULD BE THAT PERSON.

AND JANET'S BEEN ON THE BOARD AS LONG AS YOU HAVE AS WELL.

PART OF MY RATIONALE FOR THIS IS I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT WE HAD OFFICERS WHO ARE SUPPORTIVE AND CAN WORK WITH OUR SUPERINTENDENT AND IF YOU RECALL YOUR SLATE HAS TWO -- THE TWO PEOPLE ON IT WHO DID NOT VOTE FOR HER AS OUR SUPERINTENDENT.

>> OKAY, I WOULD ALSO REMIND I THINK EVERYBODY THAT ONE OF MY COMMENTS WAS THAT I DID NOT VOTE FOR YVONNE, THAT'S RIGHT BUT MY COMMITMENT WAS ONCE SHE WAS HIRED I WOULD BE COMPLETELY SUPPORTIVE AND I DO NOT THINK THAT I HAVE WAIVED FROM THAT ONE BIT. QUITE HONESTLY BASED ON SOME VOTES AND BASED O ON THE THINGS THAT COME BEFORE THE BOARD THAT THE STUDENT AND HER STAFF HAVE BROUGHT I PROBABLY HAVE BEEN MORE SUPPORT I HAVE OF THOSE IDEAS AND SUPPORTING WHAT THEIR WISHES THAN SOME OF THE OTHER BOARD MEMBERS.

>>> IF I -- MAKE AN ALTERNATIVE WE CAN CONSIDER A THIRD SLATE AND HAVE JULIE AS PRESIDENT, SARAH DONSBAUGH AS VICE PRESIDENT AND BRAD BOYAR AS SETBACK TEAR.

THAT WOULD ALSO BE A THIRD SLATE THAT I CAN SUPPORT.

>>> I WOULD SAY I APPRECIATE THE CONVERSATION.

I WILL SAY THIS IS ONE OF THOSE THINGS WHERE I HAD TALKED TO A COUPLE OF PEOPLE, MY RATIONALE AGAIN HAVING SARAH AS VP IS SHE HAS THE EXPERIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING OF ROBERT'S RULES SO IF I'M OUT SHE CAN EASILY STOP IN AND RUN A MEETING, SHE'S ALSO VERY FLEXIBLE. JANET I ASKED TO STAY ON AS SECRETARY BECAUSE SHE'S MOVING OFF AS MOVING AS VICE PRESIDENT AND PRESIDENT BUT SHE HAD WORKED CLOSELY WITH DR. STOKES THROUGHOUT THE TRANSITION SO SHE HAS A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE AND BACKGROUND THERE THAT WILL HELP ME TRANSITION AND AS MY ROLE AS AN ATTORNEY IT'S PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY TREASURER AND WE DON'T KEEP THAT IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT AS A POSITION BUT FILLING JANET IN AS SECRETARY WOULD SERVE IN THAT TROLL TO ROLL SINCE IT'S ONLY BN A SEMESTER WITH HER AND MOVING INTO THAT NEW YEAR BUT I'LL STOP AND I KNOW SARAH IS ON ZOOM BUT SHE HAD SOME COMMENTS SO I'LL PASS THE MIC TO HER.

>>> SARAH, YOU'RE UP. >>> THANK YOU.

SORRY. I WAS UNMUTING MYSELF.

JULIE PRETTY MUCH TALKED ABOUT ALREADY WHAT I WAS GOING TO SAY WHICH IS SPENDING EIGHT YEARS WORKING IN THE LEGISLATURE THAT I DO HAVE A VERY GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF ROBERT'S RULES OF O ORDER AND I SERVED ON THE BOARD OF THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF INDIANAPOLIS FOR MANY YEARS SO I FEEL CONFIDENT THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO STEP IN SHOULD JULIE NEED THAT IF THEY WERE AWAY FOR SOME REASON. AND IS WHY I FEEL CONFIDENTIALITY IN MYSELF IN THAT POSITION AND MY EXPERIENCE TO BE ABLE TO FULFILL THAT ROLE. AND THAT'S ALL I HAVE AT THIS

POINT. >>> IF I CAN PIGGYBACK ON THIS I

[00:25:04]

KIND OF AGREE. I THINK SARAH WOULD BE A VERY GOOD VICE PRESIDENT AND THOUGH I SUPPORTED YOU AS PRESIDENT THE WHOLE TIME JANET I KNOW WITH YOUR BUSY LIFESTYLE RIGHT NOW AND EVERYBODY HAS THEIR JOBS BUT I THINK IT WOULD BE A NICE BALANCE FOR TO HAVE BRAD STAY ON THE BOARD AS OUR SECRETARY, SO I DO LIKE THE SUGGESTION OF OUR THIRD SLATE, JULIE CHAMBERS AS PRESIDENT, SARAH DONSBACH BAA AS VICE PRESIDENT AND BRAD AS

SECRETARY. >>> OKAY.

I WILL AT THIS POINT JUST CALL FOR THE VOTE OF THE FIRST SLATE

AND WHERE I CAN -- >> YEAH.

I MEAN, I THINK THAT WOULD BE THE BEST AND IF THAT DOESN'T PASS THEN WE'LL MOVE TO NUMBER TWO.

>>> SO TO REITERATE FOR THE RECORD THE FIRST SLATE IS JULIE CHAMBERS, MYSELF AS PRESIDENT, SARAH DONS BAA AS VICE

PRESIDENT. >>> SO WE'RE CALLING FOR THE

VOTE NOW? >> SARAH PARKS REESE.

>> YES. >> MICHELLE FULLHART.

>> YES. >> BRAD BOYER.

>> NO. >> JANET PRITCHETT.

>> YES. >> SARAH DONSBACH.

>> YES. >> SUZANNE THOMAS.

>> NO. >> AND I'M A YES.

SO THAT MOTION PASSES 5-2. ALL RIGHT.

AND IN LIGHT OF THAT I WILL MOVE OVER.

THANK YOU. AND I PROMISE WE'LL ALL WORK TOGETHER AND MAKE THIS WORK FOR THE DISTRICT.

SARAH. >>> AND JUST A REMINDER OUR

VOTES ALL COUNT EQUALLY. >>> CAN YOU REPEAT THAT?

>> EVERY ONE OF OUR VOLTS HAS THE SAME WEIGHT REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT WE'RE AN OFFICER OR NOT.

>>> WELL, I'M GOING TO COPY OFF JANET'S COMPUTER BECAUSE MINE AS NOW FROZEN, BUT WE'LL JUST KEEP MOVING.

SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH. AND IF NEXT ITEM UP IS 3.02, APPOINTMENT OF CORPORATION TREASURER DEPUTY TREASURER, AND SETTLE BONDS FOR STAFF. AND WE -- ARE WE HAVING KATIE PRESENT -- DO YOU WANT TO EXPLAIN -- COULD YOU EXPLAIN WHAT THESE ROLES ARE AND WHY WE NEED TO APPOINT THEM?

>> NOT AT ALL. THE CORPORATION TREASURER IS REQUIRED TO BE APPOINTED BY THE BOARD ANNUALLY.

THE STATUTE SPECIFICALLY LAYS OUT THAT IT CANNOT BE A SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER OR THE SUPERINTENDENT, GENERALLY IT IS THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER WHICH WOULD BE ME.

THE DEPUTY TREASURER ROLE IS FILLED BY MRS. MADISON TO OUR RIGHT, WHICH IS CUSTOMARY AND SERVES AS BUMP IN THE EVENT THAT I AIMING UNAVAILABLE AND THE BONDS THAT ARE SET FOR STAFF THOSE ARE BASED ON LIABILITY AND SO PEOPLE WHO HANDLE MONEY HAVE SPECIFIC BONDS SET OUT SO THAT'S PEOPLE IN THE BUSINESS OFFICE AS WELL AS TREASURERS IN THE DISTRICT IN SOME CASES.

>>> THANK YOU VERY MUCH. DO WE HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FROM THE BOARD ON THAT ITEM? ANY DISCUSSION? THE RECOMMENDATION IS TO APPOINT KATIE DOWLING AS CORPORATION TREASURER AND STEPHANIE MADISON AS DEPUTY TREASURER.

I'LL ENTERTAIN A MOTION. >> ILL MAKE A MOTION TO APPROVE KATIE AS CORPSE TREASURER AND STEPHANIE MADISON AS DEPUTY

TREASURER. >> INCH SECOND.

>> THE FIRST FROM MICHELLE FULL HARD SECOND FROM BRAD BOYAR.

ANY FIRST DISCUSSION? I'LL CALL FOR THE VOTE.

>> DO YOU WANT ME TO CALL FOR THE VOTE?

>> YES. >> I WILL CALL FOR THE VOTE.

>> SARAH PARKS-REESE. >> YES.

>> MICHELLE FULLHART. >> YES, BRAD BOYER.

>> YES. >> JULIE CHAMBERS.

[00:30:01]

>> YES. >> SARAH DONSBACH.

>> YES. >> AND SUZANNE THOMAS.

>> YES. >> AND I'M A YES.

>> MOTION PASSES 7-0. NEXT ITEM UP IS 3.03 CONFLICT OF INTEREST. THIS IS ANNUAL DISCLOSURE CONFLICT OF INTEREST ADDITION CLOSURE STATEMENT THAT EVERYBODY BOARD MEMBER IS REQUIRED TO REVIEW AND SIGN, THEY'RE AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC ON BOARD DOCS TO REVIEW.

IT JUST LAYS OUT WHETHER OR NOT WE DO ANY BUSINESS OR HAVE CONTACTS WITH THE DISTRICT THAT MAY CREATE A CONFLICT OF INTEREST TO SO WE HAVE TO FILL THOUSAND DOLLARS OUT AND THE BOARD WOULD BE APPROVING THOSE TO STEP THOSE AS BEING FILED FOR THE YEAR OF 2022. ARE THERE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT

THIS FROM THE BOARD? >> I MOVE TO APPROVE THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURE STATEMENTS AS PRESENTED.

>> SECOND. >> OKAY, SEEING A FIRST FROM JANET PRITCHETT SECOND FROM SUZANNE THOMAS, THE ANY DISCUSSION OR QUESTIONS? SEE NONE I'LL ASK JANET TO CALL

FOR THE VOTE. >>> SUSAN THOMAS, YES.

>> SARAH DONSBACH. >> YES.

>> JULIE CHAMBERS. >> YES.

>> BRAD BOYER. >> YES.

>> MICHELLE FULLHART. >> YES.

>> I'M A YES. >>> NEXT IS ITEM 3.04 APPROVAL OF ALL CURRENT POLICIES. THIS IS DONE ANNUALLY WHEN WE REORGANIZE ON O THIS FIRST MEETING OF THE YEAR FOR THE BOARD TO JUST MOVE TO APPROVE ALL CURRENT POLICIES AS CURRENTLY WRITTEN. IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT WE'RE NOT GOING TO STOP AMENDING THEM OR REVIEWING THEM AS A BOARD OR UPDATING THEM IT'S JUST TO ACKNOWLEDGE THESE ARE OUR POLICIES THAT WE'LL BE FOLLOWING AS WRITTEN AS OF TODAY MOVING FORWARD UNLESS THEY'RE AMENDED IN THE FUTURE.

AND I WOULD CALL FOR A MOTION. >> I MOVE TO APPROVE ALL

POLICIES FOR 2022. >> I'LL SECOND THAT.

>> HAVE A FIRST AND SECOND ANY QUESTIONS OR DISCUSSION? I WOULD ASK JANET TO CALL FOR THE VOTE.

>> SARAH PARKS-REESE. >> YES.

>> MICHELLE FULL MART. >> YES.

>> BRAD BOYER. >> YES.

>> JULIE CHAMBERS. >> YES.

>> SARAH DONS BAA. >> SUSAN THOMAS.

>> YES. >> AND I'M A YES.

>> MOTION PASSES 7-0. >>> AND THE LAST ITEM SATELLITES APPROVAL OF THE 2022 BOARD MEETING AND WORK SESSION DATES.

I WOULD NOTE THAT DOES GO THROUGH JANUARY 2023.

TYPICALLY WE'LL SCHEDULE FOR THE FULL YEAR OUT.

WE DID MAKE SOME CHANGES, OR JANUARY 18 WORK SESSION WAS CANCELED AND WE HAVE ONE SCHEDULED NOW ON THE 27TH AT 5:00 P.M. THAT'S NOT SHOWING ON THIS BECAUSE IT WAS RECENTLY UPDATED BUT IT WILL BE POSTED.

AND YOU'LL SEE THAT THERE ARE SOME ASTERISK NEXT TO SOME OF THE DATES FOR THE BOARD MEETINGS AND THAT'S DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE'RE TRYING TO STREAMLINE SOME MEETINGS FOR THE PUBLIC AND FOR OUR ADMINISTRATION SO IF YOU'VE BEEN TO SOME BOARD MEETINGS PARTICULARLY IN THE SUMMER THEY'RE OFTEN QUITE LIGHT, SOMETIMES WE'RE STRUGGLING TO FIND ACTION ITEMS INSTEAD OF MAKING OUR ADMIN TEAM BE HERE, WE'RE GOING TO TRY TO CONSOLIDATE SOME MEETINGS SO IF IT HAS AN ASTRINGES IT'S SCHEDULED BUT THOSE ARE ONE WE'VE NOTED MAY NOT BE NECESSARY SO THOSE MAY BE CANCELED IN THE FUTURE IF WE DETERMINE THEY'RE NOT NECESSARY FOR ACTION BUT OTHER THAN THAT THESE ARE O OUR CURRENT SCHEDULES. THERE IS ONE -- WAS THERE ONE ON A THURSDAY? I.

>> IT'S THE SEPTEMBER 151. >> OKAY AND THAT'S DUE TO A TIMELINE I BELIEVE FOR FINANCIAL.

>> CORRECT. >> MAY ASK A QUESTION?

>> YOU LET HER ANSWER REAL QUICK?

>> IT WAS REQUESTED BECAUSE OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING, THE FIRST

DAY -- YEP. >> SO THAT'S THE ONLY ONE THAT NORMALLY THEY'RE ON WEDNESDAY AND THAT ONE IN SEPTEMBER WILL BE A THURSDAY. MS. THOMAS YOU HAD A QUESTION?

>> YES, CAN YOU EXPLAIN OR GIVE MORE REFERENCE OF HOW MUCH TIME IN ADVANCE DOES IT HAVE TO BE KNOWN THAT IT'S CANCELED?

>> I THINK WE WOULD KNOW PROBABLY A MONTH OUT.

I KNOW DR. STOKES' TEAM IS ALREADY LOOKING AT THE SCHEDULE TO FIGURE OUT SOME MONTHS WE HAVE TO HAVE TWO BECAUSE THERE'S A LOT OF WORK AND BARGAINING AND CONTRACTS WE HAVE TO DO BUT THEY'RE ALREADY PLOTTING OUT WHEN WE HAVE TO DO CERTAIN THINGS SO IF AS WE'RE PLANNING GOING FORWARD I WOULD ANTICIPATE

[00:35:04]

IF WE'RE GOING TO CANCEL ONE IN APRIL FOR EXAMPLE WE'LL PROBABLY KNOW IN EARLY MARCH BECAUSE WE'RE ALREADY PLANNING THOSE

SCHEDULES OUT SO WE'LL KNOW. >> THANK YOU.

>> PER OPEN DOOR LAW WE HAVE TO NOTIFY THE PUBLIC OF ANY MEETING, EXEC OR REGULAR 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE BUT WE CAN

CANCEL AT ANY POINT. >> RIGHT.

THAT'S KIND OF WHAT I WAS GETTING AT SO THANK YOU FOR THAT

CLARITY. >> SO SORRY, I WANTED TO CONGRESSMAN FOR THE PUBLIC BECAUSE THERE WERE A LOT OF NOTES AND ASTERISKS ON THERE SO IF THERE ARE NO OTHER O QUESTIONS FROM THE BOARD I WOULD ENTERTAIN A MOTION.

>> I'LL MAKE A NOTION TO APPROVE THE JANUARY 2022 TO JANUARY 2023 BOARD MEETING AND WORK SESSION DATES AS PRESENTED AND THOSE

WILL BE POSTED ON BOARD DOCS. >>> YES, THIS IS JUST IN FORMAL, WE'LL STILL POTION THE OFFICIAL NOTICES AS NEEDED.

>> BUT EVEN THE LIST OF WHEN THEY ARE UPDATED IT'S ON THERE?

>> OKAY. >> I SIBLING.

>> FIRST FROM MICHELLE FULL HALTER SECOND FROM JANET PRESIDENT TRUMP IT. I WOULD ASK TO CALL FOR THE

VOTE. >> SUSAN THOMAS.

>> YES. >> SARAH DONS BAA.

>> YES. >>> JULIE CHAMBERS.

>> YES. >> BRAD BOYER.

>> YES. >> MICHELLE FULL HALTER.

>> YES EASTBOUND SARAH PARKS REESE.

>> YES. >> AND I'M A YES.

MOTION PASSES 7-0FUL THAT CONCLUDES THE REORGANIZATION IT

[4. Consent Agenda]

HAVE BOARD AND THE NEXT ITEM WE WOULD MOVE ON TO THE CONSENT AGENDA, THIS TYPICALLY INCLUDES MUNDANE BOARD MINUTE APPROVING BOARD MINUTES AND THERE IS 4.04 THAT IS INCLUDED IN THE CONSENT AGENDA THAT MAKES A SLIGHT SALARY CORRECTION DUE TO -- PERFECT. THE SALARY CORRECTION IS JUST DUE TO A CALCULATION ERROR THAT CHANGED THINGS BY A CENT, AND IT'S VERY MINOR BUT WE WANT THE MAKE SURE THAT'S CORRECT AND BECAUSE WE APPROVED IT WE HAVE TO APPROVE THE CORRECTION, SO THAT'S WHY THAT'S INCLUDED IN THERE.

ARE THERE ANY QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS? I WOULD CALL FOR A VOTE OR -- SORRY.

ENTERTAIN A MOTION. >> MADAM PRESIDENT I MOVE TO -- I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SAY THE WORDS BUT I MOVE TO ADD A LINE TO THE MINUTES. BASICALLY I JUST LOOKING LOOKING FORWARD EVERY TIME WE DO THE MINUTES IT'S JUST LISTING I'MS AND TALKING ABOUT THE VOTE AND I THINK THAT'S GREAT BUT THERE'S A WAY AT THE BOTTOM OF OUR O MINUTES EACH TIME THAT THERE'S AN ASTERISK THAT SAYS FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION TO REFER TO THE VIDEO? NOT MAKING EXEMPTS ABOUT ANY SPECIFIC BOARD MEN BUT JUST STATING AT THE BOTTOM OF OUR MINUTES THAT THEY CAN GO TO THE VIDEO FOR DETAILS.

>>> I'M HAPPY TO DISCUSS THAT. TINGLY WE WOULD NOT INCLUDE THAT BECAUSE THE BOARD MINUTES ARE THE LEGAL RECORD, THE VIDEO IS A SUPPLEMENT, SO ONCE WE START REFERENCING THINGS IN OUR LEGAL MINUTES THEN THAT SORT OF BY DEFAULT INCLUDES THOSE INTO THAT WHICH COULD CREATE ISSUES DOWN THE ROAD.

I THINK IT'S VERY CLEAR ALL OTHER ORACIT THAT WE LIVE STREAM AND ANYBODY CAN WATCH THE VIDEOS BUT OUR O MINUTES IS SUPPOSED TO BE REFLECTIVE OF WHAT HAPPENED IN THE MEETING AND ALL OUR

MINUTES SHOW IS EACH VOTE. >> THAT'S CORRECT,S THAT THE POINT OF THE MINUTES WHAT DID WE DISCUSS, WHAT WAS THE VOTE AND

THE OUTCOME. >>> AND THE MINUTES ARE REQUIRED TO BE KEPT FOR A CERTAIN LENGTH OF TIME AND THE VIDEO NOT.

WE'RE GETTING READY THE ARCHIVE --

>> THE MINUTES ARE OUR LEGAL RECORD, THE VIDEO WE KEEP FOR

FOUR YEARS. >> SO AS AN EXAMPLE IF WE PUT SEE OUR WEBSITE FOR THE VIDEO OF THIS AND WE DELETED IT THEN THAT WOULDN'T BEING ACCURATE. I WOULD AND THIS IS AN ASIDE FROM THIS BUT MAYBE ADD SOMETHING ON BOARD DOCKERS TO

DOCKERS -- DOCS -- >>> SO NOT NECESSARILY ON THE O PDF BUT MAYBE DURING BOARD DOCKS DURING AGENDA TIME, CAN WE DO THAT? WHERE IT CESSATIONS MINUTES OR WHATEVER CAN THERE BE A SENTENCE THERE THAT SAYS FOR DETAILED

INFORMATION REFER TO THE VIDEO? >> I THINK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT JUST ON THE ON THE MAIN BOARD DOCS PAGE --

[00:40:06]

>> AND I POST THINGS ON FACEBOOK ABOUT THE MEETING OUTPUT.

FOR INFORMATION ABOUT -- PROCEDURES AT THE BOARD MEETING IF YOU'RE GOING TO COME AS A MEMBER OF THE MIGHT BE GO TO THIS LINK, SO MAYBE ON BOARDS DOCS TO SEE ARCHIVES VIDEOS FROM FROM PAST MEETINGS, GO TO THIS DATE AND IT WOULD TAKE PEOPLE TO

THE BOARD PAGE. >> SO THIS PAGE UP HERE? IS THAT -- PUT SOMETHING THAT SAYS -- I WOULD BE OKAY WITH

THAT TOO. >> THAT'S FAIR.

>> AND I LITERALLY NO JOKE WALKED INTO A PARENT IN OUR COMMUNITY AT KROGER AND SHE'S LIKE OUR MEETINGS ARE VIDEOTAPED

SO THAT MADE ME THINK ABOUT IT. >> I THINK THAT'S SOMETHING WE CAN DO. SARAH DOES HAVE A COMMENT THOUGH

OR A QUESTION. >>> YEAH, I WANTED TO SAY AS IN REFERENCE TO IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A COMPARISON TO THE LEGISLATURE WHICH I KNOW SOME PEOPLE PAY ATTENTION TO THAT IF YOU LOOK AT COMMITTEE REPORTERS THAT ARE DONE FROM COMMITTEES BY THE LEGISLATURE OR IF LOOK AT THE MINUTES FROM THE SESSION IT NEVER INCLUDES THE COMMENTARY, IT INCLUDES ANY AMENDS MADE AND THE VOTE AND THOSE ARE ARCHIVES, SO I THINK BEST PRACTICE FOR US IT'S THE MINUTES OF OUR MEETING SHOULD PROBABLY REFER TO WHAT WE'RE DOING AND THE BIGGER [INDISCERNIBLE] WHICH IS MAKING THE LEGAL RECORD THAT WE MAKE AND NOT NECESSARILY THE COMMENTARY THAT IS HAD AND THAT ALL -- LIKE I SAID THAT CAN BE

FOUND IN THE VIDEO RECORD. >>> AND SOME OF THAT WAS WATCHING THE MEETINGS TOO THAT'S CORRECT, BUT IT ALSO HAS ON THERE YOU CAN REFER TO THE VIDEO SEW IF WE PUT IT ON THE FRONT OF

HERE I THINK THAT'S GREAT. >>> ANY OTHER COMMENTS --

>> I AGREE WITH THAT. >>> ANY OTHER O COMMENTS QUESTIONS? SEEING NONE I WOULD ENTERTAIN A

MOTION? >> CAN WE BREAK THESE OUT AND

VOTE ON THEM INDIVIDUALLY? >> THAT IS SOMETHING WE WOULD PREFER THAT BE REQUESTED AHEAD OF TIME SO WE CAN REVIEW THAT.

SO MOVING FORWARD ABSOLUTELY IF WE GET NOTICE AHEAD OF TIME SO

WE CAN LOOK AT THAT. >>> I MANGE A MOTION TO APPROVE

THE CONSENT AGENDA AS PRESENTED. >> SECONDS.

>> FIRST BY JANET PRITCHETT SECOND BY SARAH PARKS REESE, I WOULD ASK MS. PRITCHETT TO CALL FOR THE VOTE.

>> .

>>> CONSENT AGENDA PASSES 7-0 AND I'M GOING TO TURN IT OVER TO

DR. STOKES AND INTRODUCE SOME -- >> I HAVE SOME WONDERFUL STAFF THAT WILL BRING UP SOME OF OUR NEW STAFF MEMBERS AND INTRODUCE THEM AND SHARE THEIR ROLES AND HAVE THEM TALK A LITTLE BIT.

>> AND SOME VERY PATIENT CHILDREN IN THE AUDIENCE.

VERY WELL BEHAVED. THANK YOU.

>> GOOD EVENING. TONIGHT I HAVE THE PLEASURE TO S FOR THE DISTRICT. WE HAVE MR. JOHN WHO IS THE NEW PRINCIPAL FOR THE HEDGE AND WE HAVE THIS EVENING THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL FOR HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN HIGH SCHOOL.

MR. -- IF I MESS YOUR NAME UP I'M SORRY, ZACH FINIAC.

I'M SORRY, I MESSED THAT UP BUT --

>> AND PLEASE ALL. ER IF YOU WOULD TALK ABOUT OUR

STAFF MEMBERS. >> I WILL TELL YOU WHAT I SAID TO MR. RENT WHEN HE GOT THIS POSITION, I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU, I'M SO SAD FOR US. MR. RENT -- HOW DO I SAY? HE IS JUST -- IT IS DIFFICULT TO REPLACE SOMEONE WHO'S BEEN SO IMPORTANT TO OUR KIDS AT HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN HIGH SCHOOL AND I KNOW WE HAD TWO STUDENTS HERE TONIGHT AND THEY WOULD ATTEST TO THE SAME THING BUT HE IS READY FOR THIS NEXT STEP. HE IS A LEADER.

HE IS GOING TO BE GREET WITH THE STUDENTS AT THE HEDGE AND

[00:45:01]

WONDERFUL TO LEADS THAT STAFF AND I'M REAL HAPPY FOR HIM.

CONGRATULATIONS MR. RENT. >> SMALLER. THE.

>> YES, I'M VERY EXCITED FOR THIS POSITION AND THIS PROMOTION. I WANT TO HIGHLIGHT SOME PEOPLE THAT HAVE COME WITH ME TODAY. MY PARENTS ARE HERE, MY MOM, MY HERO IN THE FRONT ROW IS HERE. MY FATHOM, MY DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY IS TODAY. NINE YEARS OLD O TODAY AND GOATS TO EXPERIENCE A LITTLE CIVIL DISCOURSE THAT SHE CAN BRING HOME. MY WIFE IS HERE, VERY SUPPORTIVE AND COULDN'T BE HERE WOULD YOU TELL WITHOUT HERE AND REALLY IMPORTANT TO ME MY SECOND GRADE TEACHER IS HERE

MS. PARISH. >> STAND UP, MRS. PARISH.

SHE IS THE REASON I'M AN IN EDUCATION AND IT IS JUST A TESTAMENT THAT GOOD ROLE MODELS AND EXAMPLES THE SKY'S THE LILT FOR STUDENTS. SO I'M HONORED TO BE THEORY AND I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THINGS GOING, IT'S ALREADY BEEN A GREAT EIGHT DAYS THE HEDGE, AND THEY KEEP LETTING ME COME BACK.

>> CONGRATULATIONS. >> YOUR FANCY SHOES AND HAVE BEEN COMPLIMENTED ON YOUR WONDERFUL

PANTHER SHOES. >> THAT IS TRUE.

A SHOUT OUT TO DEWON CUSTOMS. >> SHE'S A STUDENT AT -- HERE'SA STUDENT IS IT THE MENTAL. AND SHOUT-OUT TO YOUR WIFE TOO WHO'S A TEACHER RIGHT ACROSS THE PARKING LOT SO YOU'RE PROBABLY IN SPIRING PEOPLE AS WELL. AND THANK YOU, I KNOW MY KIDS ALL WENT THROUGH. I'M WELL AWARE OF BOTH OF YOU AND MR. SHINIAC, LOOKING AT YOR NAME IS INTIMIDATING BUT WE'VE HEARD IT ALL AND SEEN IT ALL SO THANK YOU.

>>> AND I DO WANT THE INTRODUCE MR. ZACH SHINIAC, WHEN WE WENT THROUGH THE PROCESS OF INTERVIEWING CANDIDATES BEFORE THEN WE HAD TO GO THROUGH MATERIALS AND THIS LINE THAT HE WROTE STOOD OUT TO ME. IF SUCCESSFUL EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP IS MEASURED IN INFLUENCE RATHER THAN POWER, THE ADMINISTRATOR MUST HUMBLY COMMIT TO THE GOAL OF TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP WITH THE HEART OF A SERVANT AND HE IS A SERVANT LEADER, HE EXHIBITS A STUDENT FIRST MENTALITY AND WILL BE A TRUE STUDENT ADVOCATE. HE DOES NO SHY AWAY FROM THE DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS OR SITUATIONINGS BUT LISTENS TO ALL VOICES AND THEN WORKS TIRELESSLY TO HELP ALL MOVE FORWARD.

HIS PREPAREDNESS AND INTEGRITY AND THOUGHTFULNESS MAYBE HIM NATURAL AND THE BEST CLOYS FOR OUR ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM.

WE THAT HE WILL DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR US AND THE COMMUNITY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY FOR THE STUDENTS.

MR. SHIN YAK HAS A BACHELOR OF MUSIC EDUCATION AND A MASTER OF ORCHIS TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONDUCTING DEGREES AND HE COMES FROM PURDUE. HISS LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE IS FROM ORCHESTRA DIRECTOR TO DEPARTMENT CHAIR OF PERFORMING ARTS TO DEAN OF STUDENTS AND NOW ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL.

CONGRATULATIONS MR. SHINIACINGS. >> THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THOSE KIND WORDS. I HAVE SOME FOLKS HERE I WOULD LIKE THE INTRODUCE. I'M A PRODUCT OF THOSE FOLKS WHO HAVE IN VESTED IN ME AND PROFESSIONALLY THERE'S A LOT OF FOLKS HERE STARTING WITH DR. KEGLY WHO I MET WAY BACK IN 2010. I SALARIED THIS WITH THE INTERVIEW COMMITTEE AND I SHARED THIS WITH OUR FACULTY AND STAFF TODAY WHEN I WEAR SOUTHEASTERN ON MY SHIRT IT MEANS TO ME DR. KEGLY, JANEY ALL HER, FOLKS THAT HAVE INVESTED IN ME BUT MORE THAN ANYTHING ARE SOME FOLKS HERE I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE, FIRST OF ALL MY MOTHER, RETIRED FIFTH GRADER, MY DAD JACOB, AND THEN MY RASHES ARE BRIEF BECAUSE I'M UP AGAINST BEDTIME, MY WIFE CHRIS TIN IN THE BACK AND THEN OUR TWO-YEAR-OLD SON DEMITRI. SO I APPRECIATE THEM BEING HERE WITH ME. WOULDN'T BE HERE WITHOUT THEM.

>>> SO ARE WE GOING TO EXPECT -- WE HAVE SEEN THE VIRAL VIDEOS OF

[00:50:05]

ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS SINGING OR MAKING MUSIC, SNOW DAYS OR WHATEVER. IS THAT WHAT WE'RE GOING TO

LEARN? >> I'M EXCITED --

>>> CONGRATULATIONS >>> IF WE CAN HAVE YOU COME UP, WE CAN TAKE A PICTURE AND MR. TAYLOR IF YOU'LL TAKE THE PICTURE FOR US PLEASE SINCE EMILY IS NOT HERE.

DO WE WANT FAMILIES IN THE PICTURE?

>> YEAH.

[5. Public Comments]

>>> NEXT UP IS PUBLIC COMMENT AS HAS BEEN TYPICAL IN THE PAST WE'RE GOING TO HOLD THOSE UNTIL THE ITEM ON THE AGENDA THAT THE PERSON HAS SELECTED TO SPEAK ON. SO MOVING ON FROM THAT WE'RE

[6. Information Items]

GOING TO MOVE TO INFORMATION ITEMS. ITEM SEX .01, RIVER SIDE TENNIS COURT REPLACEMENT AND I BELIEVE WE'RE GOING TO START WITH MR. HARRY DELLINGS AND I THINK IT'S THE HARRY SHOW TONIGHT AND I THINK YOU HAVE SOME SUPPORT.

SO WE'LL JUST START WITH THE TENNIS COURTS.

>>> AS YOU KNOW I HAVE EIGHT PROJECTS TO PRESENT TONIGHT FOR INFORMATION AND I WOULD LIKE TO SAY IF YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH ANY OF THESE PROJECTS AND PLAN TO APPROVE ACTION ON THEM, I WOULD BE GRATEFUL BECAUSE WE CAN'T REALLY START ANYTHING UNTIL WE GET THERE. SOME OF THEM I'LL HAVE TO BRING BACK, SOME OF YOU MAY BE COMFORTABLE WITH.

THIS IS A GROUP EFFORT FOR FACILITY SO THE WAY I'M GOING TO DO THIS FIRST OF ALL ON THE TENNIS COURT I'M GOING TO ASK LOGAN NUN OUR PROJECT MANAGER COME UP AND MAKE A PRESENTATION ABOUT THE TENNIS COURTS AND EXPLAIN TO YOU WHY WE'RE HAVING TO DO THIS AND WHAT THE ISSUES ARE.

AND THEN WE'LL GO FROM THERE. >> OKAY.

SO THE RIVER SIDE TENNIS COURTS. WHICH ONE? THERE WE GO. RIVER SIDE TENNIS COURTS.

FACILITIES HAS ALLOCATED A MILLION DOLLAR IN THE TEN YEAR PLAN TO REPLACE THE CURRENT TENNIS COURTS BASE ON ESTIMATE FROM CONTACT DESIGN. THE PLAY SURFACES IS SEPARATING HEAD OUT THE DOOR SOLE JUDGELY AND ALTHOUGH FACILITIES HAS PARTICIPATED THE COURTS SEVERAL TIMES OVERTHE YEARS IT'S NOT ENOUGH. THE ESTIMATE INCLUDES COURT DRAINAGE, SOIL STABILIZATION, THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW

[00:55:03]

TENNIS COURTS AND THE DEMO OF THE EXISTING TENNIS COURTS.

THE SLIDE SHOWS THE PROPOSED NEW LOCATION AND A HIGHER ELEVATION THAT SHOULD MITIGATE THE WATER INTRUSION THAT'S HAPPENING ON

THE EXISTING TENNIS COURTS. >>> SO LOGAN MENTIONED SOME OF THE CONDITIONS, I THINK A NATURAL QUESTION WOULD BE IS HOW IS THAT HAPPENING. HOW IS THIS STABILIZATION BECOMING -- HOW IS IT BECOMING A PROBLEM.

ESSENTIALLY IT WAS WATER WAS INTRUDING FROM THE SURFACE GOING THROUGH THE CRACKS, THE STRUCTURAL CRACKS THAT LOGAN MENTIONED AND WE ALSO BELIEVE THAT IT IS SITTING AT AN ELEVATION FROM THE FLOODPLAIN IS ATTACKING AFFECTING IT FROM BELOW AND YOU HAVE A SITUATION WHERE YOU HAVE.

SO SOILS AND NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU PATCH IT, SO AS LOGAN MENTIONED IT'S PROPOSE OING TO MOVE THOSE TENNIS COURTS TO A HIGHER ELEVATION, ABOUT FIVE OR SIX-FOOT HIGHER ON THE SOUTH AND WEST PORTION OF THE SITE. WENT THE PREVIOUS ARCHITECT PLACED THE LOCATION THERE EVEN THOUGH IT IS LOWER BECAUSE IT'S CONVENIENT TO THE SCHOOL FOR ACCESS, PARKING BUT WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PLACING THOSE COURTS IN THAT SAME SPOT AND NEW CONSTRUCTION OR WE'LL BE HAVING THIS CONVERSATION AT SOME POINT SOON. AND LASTLY TENNIS COURTS OBVIOUSLY NEED TO BE REPAIRED I THINK ANOTHER QUESTION WOULD BE HOW LONG SHOULD WE EXPECT ASPHALT TEN IN ADDITION COURTS TO LAST. 15 TO 18 YEARS IS THE TYPICAL RECOMMENDATION. IF I'M DOING MY MATH RIGHT FROM WHEN THE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL WAS CONSTRUCTED WE'RE ALMOST TO THAT WINDOW SO THEY DON'T SEEM LIKE THAT THEY'RE OLD BUT THAT IS ABOUT THE LIFE CYCLE THAT YOU WOULD SEE FOR ASPHALT AND THEN IF THE BOARD WOULD LINING, IF IT'S APPROVED TO GO INTO AN ENGINEERING STEP WE WOULD COMPARE CONCRETE WITH STATUTE.

AND I MENTIONED 18 YEARS IS THE TYPICAL LIFE CYCLE OF ST. VINCENT DE ASPHALT AND YOU SEE UP TO 30 YEARS WITH

CONCRETE. >>> DO PROJECTS LIKE THIS ACCOMMODATE UNDER DRAINS AND THINGS LIKE TO MAKE SURE THAT WATER IS ALWAYS ABLE TO BE DIRECTED AWAY FROM THIS?

>> YES, SO 20 YEARS WHEN THE DESIGN AND ENGINEERING WAS BEING DONE IT WAS LESS COMMON TO DO EITHER LIME OR SPENT STABILIZATION, TO BE HONEST ON MOST PROJECT SITES GOOD SITES ARE HARD THE FIND SO WE'RE PUTTING BUILDINGS AND LAND DEVELOPMENT IN TOUGH SPOTS SO THE EASY SITES ARE GONE WE OFTEN SAY. SO PUTTING UNDERDRAINS IS INSIDE O OF THE NUMBERS THAT LOGAN MENTION ASKED WE THINK THAT'S A PRE-REMEMBER SIT TO GETTING A GOOD DURABLE PRODUCT.

>>> I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THE TIMELINE AND I DO DID ASK THIS IN AN E-MAIL AND I DID GET A RESPONSE RIGHT BEFORE THE MEETING BUT SO JUNIOR HIGH AND THIS ISN'T REALLY FOR YOU IT'S MORE FOR OUR O FACILITYINGS PEOPLE, JUNIOR HIGH BOYS AND GIRLS TENNIS ARE ALL IN THE FALL.

AND EVERY ONE OF OUR JOY HIGHS HAS HALF AS MANY COURTS AS OUR HIGH SCHOOLS SO WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TWO TEAMS WHO NEED TO USE TENNIS COURTS IN THE FALL. ACCORDING TO THE TIMELINE IT LOOKS LIKE THEY WON'T BE READY BY THEN SO WHAT IS THE PLAN?

>> WE WILL NOT REMOVE THE EXISTING TENNIS COURTS UNTIL THE

NEW ONES ARE COMPLETE. >>> THAT MAKES SENSE.

OKAY. THANK YOU AND -- THAT KIND OF GOATS INTO MY NEXT QUESTION, WHICHIVELY BRING UP WHEN WE TALK

ABOUT SOME LIGHTS BUT THANK YOU. >>> HARRY WHEN WE'RE DEMOLISHING THE EXISTING ONES WHAT IS THE TIME FRAME FROM START TO -- IS THAT SOMETHING THAT'S DONE IN A WEEK OR DOES IT TAKE A LISTENING TIME? BECAUSE SURELY IT'S NOT AN EYESORE THERE FOR A WHILE. WE'RE PLANNING TO DO THAT RIGHT

AWAY -- >> WE'LL IMMEDIATELY BEGIN DEMOLISHING THOUGH TENNIS COURTS WHEN THE NEW ONES ARE FINISHED AND READY TO USE. AND OUR PLAN IF WE MOVE FORWARD ON THIS IS TO POSSIBLY MOVE THE PRACTICE FOOTBALL FIELD TO THAT AREA WHERE THE TENNIS COURTS ARE NOW.

>> SO MIGHT NOT BE READY FOR LOATHES PRACTICE THAT FALL BUT

[01:00:03]

AT LEAST IT WILL BE SODDED OR SEEDED SO FOR THE FOLLOWING FALL THE GRASS WILL BE THERE AND READY TO GO FOR THAT FOOTBALL

FIELD. >> YES.

>> SORRY, IN THE PARKING LOT THERE ARE STEPS THAT ACTUALLY LEAD DOWN, WHICH IS KIND OF FUNNY WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT, IT'S LOW GROUND AND YOU STEP DOWN. IT WILL JUST BE MADE TO [INDISCERNIBLE] OR WILL WE RUN INTO PERSON PROBLEMS --

>> I MEAN, FOOTBALL PLAYERS ARE USED TO MUD.

>> SIMILAR TO THE CURRENT CONDITIONS WITH THE APARTMENT YOU DESCEND ABOUT FOUR FEET. YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE ASCENDING UP

FOUR FEET. >> BUT WHEN --

>> SO THERE WILL BE STAIRS BUT THEY'LL BE GOING UP.

>> BUT WHEN WE GRASP WHERE THE TENNIS COURTS ARE.

>>

>>> >>> AM I RIGHT THAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT WHERE THE EXISTING TENNIS COURTS ARE ONCE WE REMOVE THEY WILL, KIND OF LIKE THE FIELDS WHEN THEY BUILT THE FIELDS OUT THERE THEY KIND OF GO UP?

>> THE CONCERN IS MOISTURE. >> IF THERE'S FLOODING NOW WE HAVE A BUNCH OF GRASS THERE -- SIMULTANEOUS.

>>> WE HAVEN'T GONE THROUGH THE THE DETAILS OF ALL THE POSSIBLE ILITIES BUT IN GENERAL TERMS THE SOIL WOULD REMAIN ON YOUR PROPERTY SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAUL THOSE AWAY SO WHATEVER SPOILS WOULD GO BACK TO THAT AREA AND HOWEVER MUCH THAT LIFTED IT UP WOULD BE YOUR MOST ECONOMICAL SOLUTION.

>> SO AT THIS TIME IT DOES NOT FLOOD?

>> THE COURTS THEY WILL ARE NOT STAGING WATER BUT CERTAINLY THE

SUB SOIL IS BEING INUNDATED. >>> NOW, THERE IS A PAVILION, I BELIEVE THAT WAS BUILT THERE. WILL THAT BE MOVED AS PART OF

THIS? >> THIS JUST CAME OUT TODAY WITH THE PRINCIPAL AND ASKED THAT QUESTION AND THE ANSWER, WE WILL LOOK AT THAT AND IF WE HAVE TO MOVE IT IF IT MAKES SENSE TO

MOVE IT WE WILL MOVE IT. >> WAS THAT A PTO FUNDED PROJECT? IN THE MEANTIME PRACTICE FIELD THERE WILL BE NO FOOTBALL PRACTICE FIELD FOR THE FALL BUT WOULD THEY JUST PRACTICE ON THEIR REGULAR FIELD?

>> THAT'S MORE LAND BACK THERE TOO, I THINK THERE'S A TON OF

AREA. >> I SEE IT --

>> BEHIND THE FIELD, TO THE SIDE THERE'S A TON OF AREA.

I DON'T SEE THAT BEING A PROBLEM BUT --

>> OKAY THANK YOU. >>> ANY OTHER O QUESTIONS? MOVING ON TO THE NEXT PROJECT, LOGAN AND JIM FROM CSO ARE GOING TO PRESENT, THAT'S THE DURBIN REMODEL AND OUR PLAN IS TO MOVE FOCUS UP THERE AND WE'LL TALK ABOUT THAT.

>> OKAY. WE ALLOCATED $2.2 MILLION IN THE TEN YEAR PLAN TO MOVE FOCUS TRANSITIONS AND HACK TO DURBIN ELEMENTARY. CURRENTLY WE'RE ONLY LOOKING AT MOVING PHOTOCOPIES TO FOCUS. WE ARE ESTIMATING THE PROJECT COST WILL BE APPROXIMATELY 1.5 MILLION TO BE COMPLETED OVER THE SUMMER. FOCUS WILL NEED TO BE RELOCATED AS FALL CREEK JUNIOR HIGH IS UNDER RENOVATION AND THAT AREA IS SLATED TO BE REMODELED AT THE END OF THE YEAR.

WE'LL BE REUSING A LOT OF THE FURNITURE AND THAT'S PRETTY MUCH

IN A NUTSHELL. >> IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CUSTODYING DESIGN WE WOULD BE MORE THAN GLAD TO

ANSWER THOSE. >> SO THOSE BLANK SQUARES THAT HAVE NO YELLOW IN THEM DOES THAT MEAN NOTHING IS HAPPENING TO THEM? WILL THEY BE UTILIZED IN THE BUILDING OR JUST DOORS SHUT AND WE DON'T USE THAT PART OF THE

BUILDING? >> AT THIS POINT WE HAVEN'T HAD ANY DISCUSSIONS ABOUT USING IT BUT THERE'S OBVIOUSLY POSSIBILITIES THAT -- I WANTED TO CLARIFY THAT ONE OF THE THINGS WE WANT TO MAKE SURE WE DO AND WE'RE TRYING TO DO THE MINIMAL CONSTRUCTION NECESSARY SO THAT IN THE FUTURE IF THIS

[01:05:04]

NEEDSES TO GO BACK TO ANOTHER ELEMENTARY WE CAN EASILY CONVERT THIS BACK TO AN ELEMENTARY. SO WE'RE DOING MINIMAL

CONSTRUCTION. >> AND I THINK I UNDERSTAND THE YELLOW IS WHAT'S BEEN UPDATED. I GUESS THE QUESTION IS IS THERE A WEATHERED DOOR THERE AND THE WHITE AREA IS NOT BEING USES OR WILL IT AND BE USED AS POSSIBLE OFFICE SPACE? DO YOU SEE WHAT I'M ASKING? I KNOW SOME BUILDINGS IF THEY'RE NOTGOING TO USE THAT PART OF THE BUILDING THEY CAN TURN THE HEAT OFF AND PUT A WEATHER DOOR THERE.

>> SO WE HAVE DISCUSSED SOME SOME OTHER OPTIONS FOR THAT SPACE. FOR A DISTRICT OUR SIZE IT'S NO SECRET WE DON'T HAVE A DEDICATED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPACE BUT WE HAVE NOT SETTLED ON ANYTHING, JUST SOME THINGS WE'VE

BEEN TOSSING AROUND. >> SO AFTER THE RENOVATION IT IS FUNCTIONAL SPACE IT'S JUST NOT PART OF THE RENOVATION.

>> IT'S NO PART OF WHAT THE FOCUS PROGRAM WILL BE UTILIZING.

>>> AS FAR AS PROFESSIONAL SPACE WE HAVE TONS OF AUDITORIUMS AND CAFETERIAS. A LOT OF ROOM.

>>> WILL THERE BE ANY UPGRADES TO THE CAFETERIA IN THIS

ITERATION? >> [INDISCERNIBLE] BECAUSE AT ONE APPOINTMENT WE TALKED AROUND THAT THE CLASS OF OUR OLDER STUDENTS POSSIBLY USING THE KITCHEN TO OR TRANSITIONAL STUDENTS TO USE THE CAFETERIA AND DOES THIS RUN A BELL,

DR. STOKES. >> IT DOES BUT AS HE SHARED THAT WAS WHEN THEY WERE THINKING ABOUT BRINGING THE OTHER VARIOUS PROGRAMS BUT THE CONSIDERS IS TO ONLY HAVE FOCUS.

>> AND AS FAR AS RESTROOMS GO THERE WAS ONE COMMUNITY RESTROOM AND THE ELEMENTARY INTERMEDIATE AND THAT FAP CLASSROOM ALL HAVE INDIVIDUAL RESTROOMS. THE ONE PAST THE HIGH SCHOOL IS A WING THAT'S GOING TO BE CLOSED AS SUZANNE WAS TALKING ABOUT.

>>> AND AGAIN I GUESS I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE PROGRAM OF FOCUS VERY MUCH TO UNDERSTAND, WHY WOULD THEY NOT NEED A FOOD

SOURCE OR CAFETERIA? >> SO LET ME LET AMY TALK TO YOU ABOUT WHAT FOCUS IS AND HOW THAT'S SUPPORTED SUPPORTED AND S TO KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT FOOD SERVICE.

>> ABSOLUTELY. SO OUR FOCUS DAY PROGRAM FOCUS SUBSTANTIATES FOR FOUNDATIONS OF CHARACTERI UNIQUE TO SUCCESS SO THIS IS A SERVICE IN PLACEMENT ON OUR CONTINUUM OF SERVICES THAT WE PROVIDE FOR STUDENTS WHO QUALIFY FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES SO SPECIFICALLY WITH THAT PROGRAM I WANTED TO MAKE SURE YOU HAD AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROGRAM AND THEN SO REGARDING CAFETERIA AND LUNCH AND BREAKFAST WE STILL WILL UTILIZE THAT SPACE FOR VARIOUS REASONS AND IF WERE TO HAPPEN WHERE WE DID NOT COOK WE WOULD MAKE SURE STUDENTS HAD ACCESS TO

HOT MEALS. >>> SO DOES THAT EXPLAIN THAT? JUST BECAUSE IT'S WHITE DOESN'T MEAN IT'S NOT GOING TO BE UP AND

FUNCTIONING. >> RIGHT.

IT'S STILL DURBIN ELEMENTARY. THERE'S KIDS IT'S JUST NOT NEL -- MINE THE REMODEL IS TO -- IS -- NOT CHEAPLY BUT MAKE IT FUNCTIONAL FOR THESE PROGRAMS. THE CAFETERIA IS ALREADY

FUNCTIONAL. >> SO IT'S USABLE.

>> SARAH DON HAS A QUESTION. >>> THANK YOU.

I HAVE A QUESTION THAT WE'RE ON SEPTIC AT THAT SITE, NONE OF THE CHANGES TO BATHROOMS WOULD AFFECT OUR SEPTIC, IS THAT

CORRECT? >> NONE OF THE CHANGES WILL AFFECT OUR SEPTIC IN TAKE AT THE SITE?

>> NO. >> USAGE WILL BE DRASTICALLY

REDUCED. >>> .

>> THAT'S ALL I NEEDED TO KNOW. >> WHAT ARE WE ANTICIPATING THE

ENROLLMENT OF THAT? >> ABSOLUTELY.

SO THERE CAN BE -- THE NUMBERS MAY FLUCTUATE BECAUSE THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS WHO NEED INTENSE SERVICES AND THE GOAL IS TO GET THEM BACK INTO THEIR HOME SCHOOL.

[01:10:03]

RIGHT NOW THERE ARE AROUND 40 STUDENTS WHO PARTICIPATE IN THIS

PROGRAM. >> AND DO WE HAVE -- DR. EXTENDED FORECAST DO WE HAVE A DEDICATED PRINCIPAL FOR THAT

SCHOOL? >> YES, WE HAVE A LEADER.

>> SO WE CURRENT WILL HAVE SOMEONE WHO IS LEADER OF THE PROGRAM, SO KELLY CORONISES IS OUR FOCUS DAY PROGRAM

COORDINATOR. >> ANY OTHER O O QUESTIONS? MOVING ON TO 6.03 THE PARKING LOT AT THE TRANSPORTATION

CENTER. >>> YES, I THINK WE PRESENTED THIS PREVIOUSLY. I'M GOING TO HAVE BOB RICE AND ZACH MINNESOTA KINNY COME UP AND EXPLAIN THE NEED FOR IN PRONG.

>>> GOOD EVENING CURRENT TRANSPORTATION CENTER HOLDS ABOUT 198 BUS AND WE CURRENTLY HAVE OVER 300 BUSS IN OUR FLEET.

THIS IS GOING TO IMPROVE SAFETY OVERNIGHT OR BEING ABLE TO SECURE OUR BUSES OVERNIGHT, FIXER DRAINAGE AND HELP WITH THE OVERFLOW PARKING. ZACH CAN EXPLAIN IN BETTER

DETAIL. >>> SO WE AS BOB MENTIONED WE HAVE 199 SPACES AND 320 BUSS. 39 OF WHICH AROUND THEFENCE AREA AND WE HAVE A STEADY STREAM OF WATER THAT COMES OFF THE EDGE OF OUR SHOP THAT TRICKLES DOWN TO THAT RETENTION POND AND IN THESE COLD WINTER MONTHS IT BECOMES AN ICE SKATING RINK AND WE HAVE SOME SLIP AND FALLS. OBVIOUSLY PARKING THE BUS ALONG THE INTELLIGENCE IS NOT THE SAFEST SO THIS WOULD ALLOW THAT EXPANSION AND GET EVERY BUS INTO A PARKING SPACE.

WE STILL WILL NEED SOME OF OUR BUS PARKEDDED A FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL. WE HAVE 23 BUS THAT ARE PARKED AT HOME BUT I'M STARTING TO SEE MORE AND MORE OF THOSE BUSES COMING BACK, SO WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE THOSE.

AS FAR AS INFRASTRUCTURE WE PLAN ON MOVING FORWARD AND WE WOULD BE ABLE THE EXPAND THAT FLEET IF NECESSARY DOWN THE ROAD THROUGH THIS PLANNING PROCESS AND IT WOULD ALLOW FOR THE DISK SECURITY CAMERAS TO BE PUT IN THE PARKING LOT TO PROTECT OUR O EXTREMITY AND UPGRADE TO LED LIGHTING AND WE WOULD HAVE SAFER CROSSWALKS, SOME OF THE RENDERING THAT I'VE SEEN HAVE SAFE CROSSWALKS TO THE BUSES IN THE DARK.

WE DO WHAT WE CAN WITH SAFETY CLEATS ON THEIR SHOE ASKS

REFLECTIVE VESTS. >>> AND WE HAVE ALLOCATED $5.5 MILLIONS IN OUR BUILDING AND GROUNDS TEN YEAR PLAN FOR THIS: WE CAME ONE THAT BUDGE BECAUSE WE HAD CSO WORKING WITH US. WE RECOMMEND CONTINUING TO USE CSO FOR THIS PROJECT. WE WENT WITH ABRFP FOR THE LAST THREE IF PROJECTS AND IT THAT DELAYS THE PROCESS BECAUSE WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR EVALUATION ANDS THAT DELAYS THE STAR OF THIS PROJECT BY TWO OR THREE MONTHS WHICH MEANS WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO START THIS PROJECT THIS YEAR F. WE GO WITH CSO THERE'S A LIKELIHOOD WE CAN GET PHASE ONE DONE WHICH PHASE ONE WOULD BE THE TRANSPORTATION BUS LOCK EXPANSION AND PARKING SO THAT WOULD LET US START STAGING THOSE BUS.

>>> SO FOR CLARITY WE'VE WILL EVER DONE RFP --

>> WE HAVEN'T DONE AN RFP BUT WE HAVE HIRED THEM TO DO THE PRELIMINARY DESIGN. SO THEY'VE ALREADY DONE THAT WORK. IF WE WERE TO DECIDE TO GO WITH ANOTHER ARCHITECT WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY THEM FOR THE WORK THEY'VE DONE AND PASS THAT INFORMATION ON TO THE NEW ACTOR AND START

OVER. >>> CSO THE COMPANY THAT GAVE YOU THAT BUDGET FOR 5.5 BY WHAT THEY PUT TOGETHER TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF WHAT THEIR COSTS WILL BE

>> SO 5.5 WOULD BE THE TOLD COST FOR THE COVERAGE AND WE USE CSO WHEN WE'RE LOOKING AT OUR BUILDING AND GROUNDS TEN YEAR PLAN TO WE CAN BUDGET THE BIG PICTURE.

SO THAT'S WHERE THAT 5.5 CAME FROM.

>> FROM THEM BUT THEY HELPED PUT THAT TOGETHER SO YOU WOULD KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD NEED TO BUDGET FOR THIS PROJECT, IS THAT

CORRECT. >> YES.

>> SO ON THAT MR. DOLINGS REFERENCES THAT CSO HAVE NOT BEEN PAID FOR THIS WORK, HAVE THEY BEEN PAID FOR THIS WORK?

[01:15:02]

>> YES. >> PERFECT BECAUSE YAW MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY THEM SO I WANT TO MAKE SURE

THIS WAS OUR WORK PRODUCT. >> YES.

>> SO EVEN IF WE WOULD GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY THIS PART HAS

ALREADY BEEN DONE AND PAID FOR. >> YES, TO GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE WHEN WE DID FALL CREEK JUNIOR HIGH CSS DID PRELIMINARY WORK, WE PICKED ANOTHER ARCHITECT SO THE WORK WE PAID FOR WOE WE SHARE WITH THE OTHER O ARCHITECTURAL FIRM AND WE CARRIED ON WITH THE PROJECT. AND AT THE ISSUE WE HAVE HERE IS IF WE GO THROUGH THAT PROCESS AND WE COULD WE DON'T HAVE TO LEGALLY, IT WOULD DELAY THE PROJECT SO WE PROBABLY WOULDN'T

BE ABLE TO START THIS YEAR. >> BUT WHAT IT IS TECHNICALLY FOR IS TO COMPARE QUOTES, CORRECT?

>> YES, BUT WE HAVE USE CSO NOTICE PAST AND WE'VE ALREADY USES THEM SO FAR SO WE AS A SCHOOL DISTRICT HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THEIR WORK AND THEIR BUDGETING.

>> ABSOLUTELY. >> THANK YOU.

>> COULD YOU BETTER EXPLAIN WHAT THE RIGSINGS ARE OF NOT STARTING

IT THIS YEAR? >> MAYBE ZACH CAN SPEAK TO THAT.

>> WE'RE OUT OF SPACE. THAT REALLY IS WHAT IT BOILS DOWN TO. I PORK BUSES WHEREVER I CAN.

SO WE'VE HAD 14 ACCIDENTS THIS YEAR AND THAT'S BY HITTING FIXED OBJECT OS IN THE PARKING LOT. SO WE ARE AT CAPACITY SO THE ONLY O THING WOULD BE OUR INSURANCE PREMIUMS WHICH MY BUSINESS OFFICE WOULD HAVE AN ISSUE WITH.

SO IT'S JUST LACK OF SPACE, I MEAN, THEY'RE COMING AROUND AND IT'S A SHARED PROPERTIES SO WE HAVE FISHERS FIRE, FISHERS POLICE, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, IT'S A VERY BUSY AREA IF YOU'VE EVER BEEN THERE DURING THE DAY AND THERE'S A LOT OF MOVING PARTS AND IT GETS VERY INTERESTING AT TIMES.

SO THAT WOULD BE MY BIGGEST RISK.

>> SO THIS IS JUST FOR INFORMATION, SO IF WE HOLD THIS OFF UNTIL OUR NEXT MEETING TO MAKE A DECISION IF WE'RE GOING TO GO WITH CSO IF WE WERE TO TAKE ACTION FOR HYPOTHETICAL AND SAID WE WANT TO GO WITH CSRO WOULD THEY STILL BE ABLE THE START THIS YEAR

>> YEAH, THEY WOULD BE ABLE THE START THIS YEAR.

>> SO IF THEY START THIS YEAR ARE THEY -- IS THE TIMELINE THEN TO BE DONE BEFORE THE ASPHALT CLOSES DOWN IN THE WINTER?

ARE WE TALKING ABOUT -- >> [INDISCERNIBLE].

>> BUT THIS FIRST EXPANSION [INDISCERNIBLE]

>>> BUT IF WE GO IF THE RFP IT THE MAY DELAY US A FEW MONTHS AND WE MAY NOT GET TO START THAT UNTIL NEXT SPRING.

>> ASPIRIN OF O 2023. >>> SEEING THE RECTANGLE THERE CAN YOU TALK ABOUT US THROUGH. SO EXISTING BUS LOT IMPROVEMENTS

WOULD BE DONE FIRST. >> THE OVERFLOW PARKING WOULD BE

[INDISCERNIBLE] >>> SO I KNOW THIS WAS SAID TO BE AN INFORMERS ITEM BUT IF WE DID MAKE A MOTION TO MOVE FORWARD AND DID GET PROVED DOES IT HELP DOING IT TONIGHT AS OPPOSED TO THE END OF JANUARY?

>> WE GET A TWO WEEK BUFFER. I MEAN, [INDISCERNIBLE].

>>> >>> SO THEORETICALLY YOU COULD START TWO WEEKS EARLIER BUT WAITING FOR ACTION FOR TWO WEEKS WON'T NECESSARILY SAY WE CAN'T DO THIS WORK THIS YEAR.

>> THERE IS A BACKLOG FOR SURVEYING SO THE SOONER WE CAN GET A SURVEYOR OUT THE BETTER BUT TWO WEEKS WON'T MAKE OR

BREAK THE PROJECT. >> THAT'S ALL I WAS TRYING TO

FIGURE OUT. >>> AND TO CLARIFY THE RFP WOULD BE FOR THE ARNOLD, NOT WHO'S ACTUALLY LAYING THE ASPHALT.

>>> YES, REALLY ALL WE'RE ASKING FOR IS TO MOVE FORWARD O ON THIS PROJECT, WHAT WE WOULD HAVE TO DO IS BID THE PROJECT O AND THEN

[01:20:05]

I WOULD COME TO YOU WITH THE BIT TABULATIONS AND REQUEST YOU TO APPROVE THAT. UNTIL THAT HAPPENS THE PROJECT

WOULDN'T START. >>> AND ANOTHER QUESTION.

RIGHT SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE IS THE FUEL ISLAND, ISN'T THAT

CORRECT. >> THAT'S A POND.

>> WILL ANYTHING BE CHANGING WITH THAT?

IT'S GOING TO STAY THERE? >> THERE'S TOO MUCH INFRASTRUCTURE THERE [INDISCERNIBLE].

>>> AND WHERE WOULD THE ELECTRIC CONDUITS BE AND CAN YOU GIVE AN UPDATE ON THE O STATUS OF OUR NEW ELECTRIC BUSES?

IS IT BUS OR BUSES? >> SO TARS THE CONDUIT THAT'S OBVIOUSLY A CONVERSATION WE'VE TO HAVE ONCE WE GET FURTHER INTO THE DESIGN PHASE BUT IT'S MAKING SURE WE'RE FORWARD THINKING AND SO LAYING IT NOW IS IS LESS EXPENSIVE AS MY COLLEAGUES ARE FINDING, TO LAY THE CONDUIT THAT CONDUIT CAN BE USED FOR OTHER THINGS OF. CURRENTLY WE SHOULD SEE THEY'RE BACK, LIKE MANY THINGS, IT GOES INTO PRODUCTION IN APRIL AND ITS SHOULD BE IN THE STATE OF INDIANA BY LATE MAY SO WE SHOULD BE SEEING IT JUNE/JULY TIME FRAME.

>>> >>> DID YOU HAVE SOMETHING,

BRAD? >> MADAM PRESIDENT I WOULD LIKE THE MAKE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE EXPANSION OF THE TRANSITION

PARKING LOT AS PARENNED. >>> I'LL SECOND THAT.

>> I EVER A FIRST FROM SUZANNE THOMAS AND A SECOND FROM JANET PRITCHETT. BRAD YOU HAVE A COMMENT?

>>? YEAH I DO NOT KNOW THAT I FEEL COMFORTABLE VOTING ON O THIS OR MOVING FORWARD BECAUSE EARLIER THIS EVENING WE HEARD SOME THINGS AND SAW SOME THINGS THAT WOULD CAUSE ME TO PAUSE BECAUSE WE MAY HAVE TO TAKE SOME ARC THAT WOULD RENDER THIS NULL AND VOID .

>>> WELL, AND I JUST TO BE CLEAR SO FOR THE PUBLIC I THINK THIS MAY BE CONFUSING TOO. IF WE VOTE ON THIS WE'RE VOTING TO ACCEPT THE RECOMMENDATION TO MOVE FORWARD WITH CSO AS THE ARCHITECT BUT YOU WOULD STILL GOT AND BID THE ACTUAL JOB, THE ASPHALT, THE MATERIALS AND LABOR AND COME BACK TO WITH THE BID

FOR THE FINAL COST. >> YES, WE WOULDN'T DO ANY OF THE WORK UNTIL WE BID IT OUT AND WE WOULD SHARE THAT INFORMATION WITH THE BOARD AND THEY WOULD APPROVE OR --

>> SO THE MOTION IS NOT -- SO NOT NECESSARILY SAYING YES WE'RE GOING TO SPEND $5.5 MILLION O ON THIS PROJECT WE'RE NOT APPROVING TO SPEND $5.5 MILLION TONIGHT ON A NEW PARKING LOT. I THINK THAT MAY BE THE -- DIFFERENT AND WE LAD A DIFFERENT PROJECT OR SOMETHING, WHO KNOWS

WE STILL CAN HALT. >> DEPENDING ON WHEN THE DIFFERENT DECISION WAS MADE AND WE WEREN'T FINISHED WITH THE

DESIGN WE COULD STOP IT. >>> BUT I GUESS MY COMMENT IS THAT THE MONEY STARTS FLOWING ONCE WE APPROVE THIS WE START SPENDING MONEY ON SOMETHING THAT MAY NOT EVER PAN OUT AND IF THE MAJORITY OF THE BOARD WANTS TO FANTASTIC BUT IT IS ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT WE ARE GOING TO START SPENDING MONEY AND IT MAY

OR MAY NOT COME TO PASS. >> I THINK IT'S A RISK EITHER WAY. IT'S A REX IF WE DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT, IT'S A RISK THAT IF WE DELAY THIS PRONG WE WON'T BE THINKING ABOUT STARTING IT UNTIL 2023.

>> I HAVE A QUICK QUESTION AND IT MAY BE TOO MR. BOYER THAT YOU'RE NOT PAYING OUT ANY MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT'S NOT BEEN DONE, SO YOU'RE NOT PAYING -- YOU'RE PAYING PRORATED WHEN WE

PAY FOR A JOB THAT'S COMING UP. >> YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT THE

TRANSPORTATION? >> ANY PART OF THIS PROJECT.

>> IF I GET APPROVAL THEN I WOULD ASK CSO TO PROCEED WITH THE DESIGN CAN WE WOULD START IN CURING FEES.

>> YOU TELL US HOW MUCH THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN WILL COST?

[01:25:02]

>> [INDISCERNIBLE]. >> BUT ARE WE TALKING 20,000 OR ARE YOU TALKING 8,000 OR 200,000?

>> SIX TO SEVEN PERCENT OF CONSTRUCTION COST.

>> SO 400,000. >> THANK YOU BRAD FOR BRINGING

THAT UP. >> CAN ANY -- NO, I JUST HAD A QUESTION. DR. STOKES OR MAYBE SOMEONE FROM ADMIN CAN COMMENT ON HOW THIS MAY AFFECT THE SCHOOLS, FISHER

JUNIOR HIGH >>> IT'S FREEING UP SPACE FOR OUR STAFF AND STUDENTS AND ZACH CAN COME BACK TO THE MIC, I THINK ONE OF THE BIGGEST CONCERNS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND I THINK THERE'S THE -- AND KATIE MIGHT BE ABE THE SPEAK TO THIS, WE THINK ABOUT STAFF POTENTIALLY GETTING HURT, HIS THOUGHTSES AS WE TALKED EARLIER WERE THAT WE DO SOMETHING TO RENOVATE AND MAKE IT MORE SAFE THROUGH THE I THINK PANGS OR WE DON'T WANT TO -- WE DON'T WANT UNSAFE CONDITIONS FOR OUR STAFF AND IF THERE ARE OTHER WAYS TO DO I IT WE BRING TO YOU WHAT THE FACTS ARE AND SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT TO US

>>> MY QUESTION IS WE'RE KIND OF TAKING AWAY THAT BASEBALL FIELD.

DO THEY HAVE OTHER SPACE? >> THEY DO NOT USE THAT FIELD.

SOME COMMUNITY MEMBERS USE THAT FIELD BUT IT IS NOT RENTED.

>>> BUT THE JUNIOR HIGH STILL HAD OTHER SPACE?

>> THEIR SPACE IS TOWARDS THE FOOTBALL FIELD AND THEY HAVE OTHER FIELD SPACE BACK THERE. THAT FIELD IS MY UNDERSTANDING IS IT'S LIKE COMMUNITY PEOPLE GO THERE AND THEY PLAY SOFTBALL.

>>> WE HAD THIS CONVERSATION WHEN DR. BOURFF WAS HERE AND DRS. THORPE WAS PART OF THAT CONVERSATION TO SEE WHAT UTILIZATION THEY HAD O ON THAT FIELD AND IT WAS MINIMAL.

THEY STARTED USING IT FOR CLASSES BUT THEY HAVE A GREEN

SPACE. >>> SO THAT RESHAPED WATER AREA THAT GREEN SPACE NOW? I CAN'T SEE [INDISCERNIBLE]

AND MOVING FORWARD 6.04. [INDISCERNIBLE]

>>> BOB RICE AND DAVID DAY ARE GOING TO DISCUSS THIS.

THIS HAS TO DO WITH THE MOVETH MOVEMENT OF THE TRANSMISSION LINES RELATESSED TO DEER CREEK THAT WE'VE BEEN WHO ARE WITH

DUKE O ON. >>> SO WENT WE STARTED THE DINE IT WAS DESIGNED SO THE THE ACCESS POINT WAS ONLY OFF 156 STREET THIS WAS SOMETHING WE DISCUSS WITH THE CITY AND

[01:30:05]

PURPOSEFULLY DESIGNED IT SO THE ACCELERATION DECELERATION WERE ON 156 STREET, LATER IN THE PROCESS WE FOUNTAINED OUT MOVING THE LINES WAS PART OF THE DEAL FROM THE TECH ADVISORY COMMITTEE. IT WAS A SURPRISE AND A COST THAT WE HAD NOT ALLOCATED FOR. WE'VE BEEN GOING BACK AND FORTH WITH DUKE, BUT AS WE WORKED WITH THE REIMBURSEMENT GREENND AGREEMENT OUT. WE'RE WORKING WITH DUKE, THE ESTIMATE HAS LOWERED TO 448 THOUSAND DOLLARS.

SO WE NEED TO PAY TO HAVE THESE LINES MOVED.

THERE IS A DIFFERS BETWEEN TRANSMISSION LINES AND DISTRIBUTION LINES. IT'S SUNNY COMMON TO MOVE DISTRIBUTE LINES, TRANSMISSION LINES ARE LESS COMMON.

SO THE FACT THAT OUR PROPERTY HAD BOTH SOMEHOW WE GOT REALLY LUCKY OR UNLUCKY BUT THE REIMBURSE.

AGREEMENT IS SIGNED AND WE NEED TO HAVE THE LINES MOVED SO WE CAN MOVE FORWARD WITH OPENING UP THE ELEMENTARY.

DUKE IS COMMITTED TO HAVING IT DONE AND THEY'RE GOING TO DO OUR TRANSMISSION LINES STATEMENT AS AT THE SAME TIME AS THE ROUND

ABOUT TRANSMISSION LINES. >>> HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY

QUESTIONS. >>> CAN IT POP UP FOR THEM TO COME BACK AND SAY WE NEED ANOTHER HUNDRED THOUSAND?

>> IT'S CONCEIVABLE. IT'S ALSO POSSIBLE THEY WILL GET IT DONE CHEAPER, IN WHICH CASE WE DON'T PAY THEM.

WE PAY THE ACTUAL COST TO REIMBURSE.

IT'S A REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT AND THIS IS SOMETHING WE AGREED TO DO TWO AND A HALF YEARS AGO, SO THIS IS JUST ACTUALLY MOVING THAT FORWARD AND YOU MAY NOTICE THAT IT'S THE BUILDING CORPORATION ACTUALLY SIGNING THE AGREEMENT BECAUSE THE BUILDING CORPORATION IS BUILDING THE SCHOOL.

>>> AND JUST DO CLARIFY PER THE PUBLIC COMMENT OR CONTENT THAT YOU HAVE ON HERE AND PER THIS EXPLANATION, THE COST IS ABOUT $138,000 LESS THAN WHAT WE ASSUMED?

>> THEIR INITIAL ESTIMATE WAS 627 AND THEY HAVE LOWERED IT TO 448,000 SO DO YOU WE'VE WORKED H DUKE AND THEY SHARPENED THE PENCIL A LITTLE BIT BUT IT'S A REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT, IT'S ONLY WHAT IT COSTS TO MOVE THE POLE.

>>> I GUESS WHAT I'M SAYING FOR CLARIFICATION FOR PEOPLE LISTENING THAT WE ALREADY AS A PSYCHIC AND BOARD AND YOU FOLKS THERE YOU WERE ALREADY PREPARED FOR THIS COMING UP AT 627,000 SO TODAY WE'RE HEARING THE INFORMATION THAT YOU'VE WORKED DILIGENTLY AND IT'S A GOOD 130,000 POSSIBLY LESS.

>>> WE THINK THAT IT WILL BE LESS

>>> OKAY, THAT'S WHAT I NEEDED TO HEAR.

THANK YOU. >> SO AS YOU STATED THIS HAS

ALREADY BEEN APPROVED. >> RIGHTFUL THIS IS PART OF THE DEER CREEK ELEMENTARY PROJECT AND WE'RE JUST GIVING YO AN UPDATE AND NOTING THAT IT'S THE BUILDING CORPORATION

>>> I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE DUKE REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT FOR DEER CREEK ELEMENTARY

>>> OUR FACILITIES MANAGER IS GOING TO PRESENT THE REST O OF THESE PROJECTS PROJECTS AND SOME ARE PROJECTS THAT YOU MIGHT WANT THE CONSIDER TAKING ACTION ON IF YOU FEEL COMFORTENING WITH IT.

>>> WE'RE HALFWAY WITH FACILITIES.

SO THIS FIRST 1.5 IS THE REPLACEMENT CHILLER FOR FISHERS ELEMENTARY. 15 -- OUR SCHOOL DISTRICTS ARE GETTING OLDER ALTHOUGH WE'RE STILL BUILDING BILLIONS, 15 OF OUR 26 CHILLERS ARE OVER 20 YEARS OLD 67 THIS ONE IS OVER O 30 YEARS OLD AND IT'S AT THE END OF ITS LIFE CYCLE SO IT'S HARDER TO GET PARTS FOR AND WE'D LIKE THE BUDGET $150,000 WE WANT TO ASK PERMISSION TO SEND THAT OUT TO BID IF YOU SEE FIT TONIGHT,

IF NOT IN TWO WEEKS. >>> QUESTION FOR YOU.

SORRY BRAD, DO YOU WANT TO GO FIRST?

ELEMENTARY. >> WE HAVE TO SPEED THE MEETING

UP HERE. >> I HAVE A MOTION THE APPROVE BY BRAD BOYER AND A SECOND BY SARAH -- JANET PRITCHETT.

>>> SO CURRENTLY THIS IS NOT NEW INFORMATION THAT FISH TERSE ELEMENTARY IS AN OLDER SCHOOL AND CURRENTLY THE BOARD AND THE DISTRICT IS DECIDING THE PATHWAY FOR FISHERS ELEMENTARY SO MY QUESTION TO YOU WITH PUTTING THESE CHILLERS IN, REGARDLESS OF THE DIRECTION WE GO WITH THAT BUILDING, DO THE CHILLERS STAY? WHETHER WE REMODEL AND PUT SOMETHING EL -- REPURPOSE FOR SOMETHING EL WHATEVER MOVES FORWARD WITH THE EXISTING BUILDING WILL THE CHILLERS HAVE TO BE REDONE OR IS THIS GOING TO IF I FIX IT AND THOSE CHILLERS STAY?

>> I SEE THIS AS SAVING MONEY DURING A RENOVATION AND IF YOUR QUESTION IS IF THAT BUILDING WOULD DISAPPEAR OR REBUILD AS A TWO STORY OR THREE STORY THE HVAC WOULD BE DIFFERENT.

>>> IF WE DOUGHNUTS ADDS TO THAT BUILDING THEN IT WOULD BE USEFUL AND WE CAN CONNELL TO USE IT SO IT WON'T BE A WASTE OF MONEY.

IF WE ADD IT ON THEN WE WOULD HAVE TO ADD MORE

AIR-CONDITIONING. >>> SO THE ORIGINAL CHILLERS -- IF WE APPROVE THIS NOW THEY WOULD STAY BUT WE WOULD HAVE TO ADDS ANOTHER UNIT OF SORTS IF WE ADDED ON TO THE BUILDING.

>>> YES. >> YOU'RE NOT TEARING IT DOWN IN

>>> WE'RE NOT SAYING GO OUT O AND SPEND 45TH THOUSANDS TODAY SO JUST APPROVING IT DOESN'T MEAN WE'RE SPENDING THAT MONEY, THEY'RE GOING TO BID IT AND COME BACK AND THAT WILL BE DONE AFTER

THE BONDS ARE FINALIZED. >>> IF WE BIDS THIS OUT WE'RE STILL LOOKING AT 20 TO 25 WEEKS BEFORE WE CAN GET THE CHILLER SO THAT'S WHAT WE'RE UP AGAINST WHICH IS LIKE SIX MONTHS.

>> FOR CLARITY YOU'RE SAYING NOTHING WOULD -- WE'RE NOT APPROVING TONIGHT THE FUNDS BECAUSE THAT HAS TO BE DONE WITH

THE BONDS LATER. >>> WE WOULDN'T HAVE ANY THE MONEY IN OUR DISTRICT. THAT'S NOT AN OPTION.

THE. >>> SO THE MONEY IS THERE WE'VE PLANNED FOR IT WITH OUR C PHO AND WE HAVEN'T DONE THAT PART OF

THE PLANNING YET. >>> THAT I HAVE ALREADY BUTTED THE BONDS WE JUST TO APPROVE SELLING THEM AND FINALIZING

THEM. >>> AND JUST LIKE HOMEOWNERS PLAN FOR MAINTENANCE OF THEIR HOUSE THAT'S WHAT WE'RE DOING

WITH THESE GO BONDS. >>> SO ON 6.05 IT SAYS REPLACE CHILLERS. WITH A WE'RE REALLY DOING HERE IS APPROVING THE REQUEST TO BID THE JOB NOT THAT.

SO THERE MAY BE SOME CONFUSION BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE WE'RE APPROVING REPLACING THE CHILLERS.

>> I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST TO SEND THIS OUT FOR BID.

THIS IS AT ISSUE THAT WE SEE AS A POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUE.

[01:45:03]

THESE LIGHT POLES AT THE VARSITY BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FIELDS ARE OVER 30 YEARS OLD AND WE DO HAVE SOME RUSTING AT THE BASE AND AS WINDS COME ALONG, THAT'S WHERE THE STRESS FRACTURES COME AND WE DON'T WANT THOSE TO FALL DOWN, SO AT THIS POINT WE WOULD LIKE TO REPLACE THOSE AND WE WOULD LIKE TO SET A BUDGET OF 650,000-DOLLARS FOR THE VARSITY BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL AT HFC

HIGH SCHOOL. >>> WE'LL BE UPGRADING THE LIGHTS TO LED LIGHTS WHICH IS IN LINE WITH WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE

AT FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL. >>> AND IS THERE A SAVINGS TO UP

TO USE LED LIGHTS? >> THERE DEFINITELY WOULD BE A

SAVINGS IN ENERGY COST. >> IS IT MEASURABLE?

>> [INDISCERNIBLE] >>> IT'S A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN THE FOOT-CANDLES TOO.

>> SO IN FIELD FOOT-CANDLES IS REQUIRED IS 50 FOOT-CANDLE.

I MEASURED AT CERTAIN FEET FROM THE HOME PLATE AND THE OUT FIELD IS 30 FOOT-CANDLES. AND THE LAST TIME WE HAD THAT

DONE WAS IN 2019. >>> AND WE DIDN'T MEET THOSE --

>> NOT EVERY POINT ON THE BALL FIELD.

>> SO IN LAYMAN TERMS WHEN A BASEBALL IS COMING DOWN WE WANT THE KIDS TO BE ABLE TO SEE ITS AND NOT HIT THEM IN THE FACE.

>>> BUT IT ALSO MEANS WE COULDN'T HOST TOURNAMENTS OR

WHATEVER. >>> AND IT WOULD DEFINITELY

SO BALL FIELDS AND THE BASEBALL FIELD, IS IT A DIFFERENT COST.

>> SO IN THE BASEBALL FIELD THERE ARE EIGHT POLES AND

SOFTBALL IS FIVE POLES. >>> WHAT ARE THE CURRENT POLE

MADE OUT OF? >> SOME FIVE METAL.

I WOULD HAVE RESEARCH THAT. >>> AND THE NEW POLES WILL BE THE SAME FERROUS METAL OR WILL THEY BE FIBERGLASS?

>> WE HOPE THEY WOULD AT LEAST BE COATED THAN 34 YEARS

DIFFERENCE. >> WE DOME KNOW THE ANSWER TO

OUT. >>> THANK YOU.

>> AND THEN I DID -- >> ARRIVE QUICK QUESTION.

>> GOOD SARAH. >> IS THERE AN OPPORTUNITY TO ADD MORE LIGHTS TO THE SOFTBALL FIELD? THERE ARE MORE LIGHTS ON THE BASEBALL FIELD BUT ALSO.

SO BALL PLAYS JUST AT LATE AT NIGHT AS THE BASEBALL TEAM DOES AND THEY HAVE LESS LIGHT. IS THERE AN OPPORTUNITY TO LOOK

TOSS IF WE CAN ADD MORE LIGHTS? >> SO BECAUSE OF THE SOFTBALL FIELD IS SMALLER THAT'S WHY IT ONLY REQUIRES FIVE.

WE WOULD WITH THE LED IT WOULD GIVE OFF MORE LIGHT ANYWAYS BUT WE WOULD EXPLORE ADDING BUT NORMALLY FIVE POLES ON A SOFTBALL FIELD THAT'S SMALLER WOULDN'T TAKE EIGHT POLES.

>> DO WE HAVE LIGHTS ON THE PRESS BOX? IT'S JUST THE POLES THAT LIGHT THE FIELDS RIGHT? THERE'S NOTHING FROM THE PRESS BOX THAT SHINES OUT.

>> THIS IS ACTUALLY THE VARSITY BASEBALL FIELD AND YOU CAN SEE THE POLES HERE, THERE'S TWO ALONG BOTH THE SIDELINES HERE,

FOUR IN THE BACK. >> OKAY, THANK YOU.

>>> ONLY ADDING LIGHTS TO THE VARSITY FIELDS CORRECT?

NOT IF JV FIELDS? >> CENT, JUST THE VARSITY.

>>> DO WE NOT USE THE JV FIELDS. >>> THEY DO.

THAT'S ANOTHER CONVERSATION BECAUSE FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL DO NOT HAVE LIGHTS AND WE WOULD -- THAT'S SOMETHING YOU WOULD LIKE FOR ME TO PURSUE WE CAN QUOTE ALL FOUR FIELDS

>>> YOU'LL BE TALKING SIGNIFICANTLY MORE MONEY BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY IF WE DO IT AT HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN HIGH SCHOOL WE WOULD HAVE TO CONSIDER DOING THAT --

>>> IS THERE ANY ADVANTAGE TO DOING IT ALL ONCE?

[01:50:01]

>> OUR ORIGINAL QUOTE O ON WAS 1.3 TO DO THE WHOLE THING AT HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN HIGH SCHOOL IT WAS ALL FOUR FIELDS AND WE -- WE TOO LONG INTO CONSIDERATION THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO ADD FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL SO JUST IN THE INTEREST OF TRYING TO BE COST EFFICIENT WE FELT LIKE EQUITY WAS WHAT WE NEEDED TO GET AT. AND THINK THE VARSITY FIELDS ARE WHAT THE -- I DON'T WANT TO TALK FOR THE 2011 DIRECTORS BUT THEY'RE VERY CONCERNED [INDISCERNIBLE]

>>> DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO ADD TO THIS?

>> ARE THE LIGHTS AT FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL LED ALREADY?

>> YES, I BELIEVE THEY ARE. >> SO WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT REPLACING FISHERS, JUST TWO FIELDS AT HFC.

>> YES. >> AND THE ONES AT FISHERS ARE

OLD -- [INDISCERNIBLE] >>> I'M GOING TO ADD EVEN MORE TO THE MIX, AND WE HAVE 12 TENNIS COURTS AT THE SCHOOLS BUT I WOULD LIKE TO PUT A PLUG IN TO GET AT LEAST A FEW.

>> CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT ON O ANOTHER AGENDA.

>> BUT I WANT TO PUT A BUG IF THEIR EAR BECAUSE IF THE BOARD WANTS TO THE AHEAD MAYBE THE FACILITIES CAN INVESTIGATE.

WITH THE LATE -- THE SHIFTING OF THE SCHOOL START TIMES, SCHOOL GETS OUT LATER AND I DON'T HAVE ANY KIDS PLAYING TENNIS THIS YEAR BUT I KNOW IN THE PAST WITH THE EARLIER START TIME WHEN THE GIRLS PLAY EARLY IN THE ASPIRIN THERE ARE SOME MATCHES THAT HAVE BEEN CALLED BECAUSE OF DANGERNESS AND IT'S THE ONLY O SPORT -- NOT ONLY, YOU CAN GOLF TOO BUT YOU CAN PLAY FROM -- YOUNG AGE TO A VERY OLD AGE AND THERE ARE NO PUBLIC TENNIS COURTS CAN FISHERS IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE SOME THAT OUR MIGHT BE CAN USE THAT OUR SCHOOL TEAMS AREN'T USING THEM.

>>> I'M GOING TO USE MY AUTHORITY HERE.

I APPRECIATE THE THOUGHTS AND IT'S SOMETHING THAT I WILL MAYBE A NOTE OF AND TALK THE DR. STOKES AND WE CAN LOOK AT GETTING A BID FOR THAT BUT RIGHT NOW WE CAN'T ADD THAT TO THIS SO ALL WE'RE LOOKING AT IS DO WE WANT THEM TO REQUEST BIDS FOR

THESE LIGHTS FOR THIS PROJECT. >> SO WE DON'T HAVE TO PUT AMOTIONS ON TO ASK YOU TO DO THAT.

>> NO,ON NEED A FORMAL MOTION, WE'LL TAKE A VOTE AND I'LL TALK TO HARRY SNIPE I HAVE ONE QUICK QUESTION, SINCE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF PLACING A BID TO ME I SEE WHAT WOULD BE THE HARM IN BITTING FOR THE JV, BUT I THINK IF YOU'RE ALREADY DOING THAT I THINK FOR ME I WOULD LIKE TOSS ALL OF O THAT IF

>>> THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND WE'RE UP TO 6.09, BOARD GOALS AND I'M GOING TO TURN THIS OVER TO DR. STOKES.

>>> THANK YOU SO MUCH I. WHILE THE TEAM IS COMING UP AND WE'RE HAVING SOME TRANSITIONING FROM OUR OTHER STAFF MEMBERS I DO WANT THE REMIND THE BOARD AND MAYBE THIS MIGHT BE NEWS FOR OUR COMMUNITY BUT IF YOU RECALL THIS PAST SUMMER ONE OF THE FIRST MEETINGS I HAD WITH YOU THE BOARD RETREAT AND THE BOARD DEVELOPEDDED FOUR GOALS. WE'RE GOING TO TALK ABOUT THREE OF THOSE FOUR GOALS TODAY SO WE'RE GOING TO TALK ABOUT THREE OF THOSE FOUR GOALS TODAY. THEY ARE ACTUALLY COMMUNICATIONS GOAL, ACADEMICS AND OPERATIONS SO WE WERE CHARGED WITH COMING UP WITH METRICS AND WE CAME UP WITH METRICS AND PROBABLY FIVE OR SICK BOARD UPDATES AGO WE SHARED THAT INFORMATION WITH YOU . . .

>> WORKING ON SCHOOL BRANDED TEMPLATESES HAS THE EXACT SAME LOOK AND PARENTS WILL KNOW

[02:00:04]

EXACTLY WHERE THEY CAN GO TO FINISH THE INFORMATION YOU NEED. >> LAUNCH OF THIS TRANSITION HAS

JUST BEGUN. >> ON HER SECOND OBJECTIVE THE IMPLEMENTING ENGAGED.

THE SO WE DON'T REALLY NEED TO SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON THIS BECAUSE YOU ARE ALL AS YOU ARE AWARE WE HAVE BEGUN THIS PROCESS SO FOR EXAMPLE, COUPLE OF THE ENGAGED TOPICS HAVE BEEN

ELEMENTARY CURRICULUM. SAFETY THAT'S UPCOMING. >> SO WE LAUNCHED THIS NEW PROGRAM UNTIL THE FALL AFTER MORE THAN 200 COMMUNITY MEMBERS APPLIED TO BE IN THIS INITIAL

CLASS. >> WE HAVE FOUR MORE SESSIONS REMAINING AND FEEDBACK HAS BEEN

OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE. >> WITH THIS AND IT'S REALLY ALLOWED FOR INTEGRATED ER

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. >> GREATER COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS.

NEXT REVISING THE WEB SITE FOR EASE OF USE,. >> PLAYED A BIG ROLE IN

SUPPORTING EMILY WITH WORK ON OUR WEB SITE. >> SO A LOT OF PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE IN THIS AREA ON THE DISTRICT WEB SITE. SO MANY OF OUR PAGES HAVE BEEN CLEANED UP AND INFORMATION HAS BEEN EDITED AND CONDENSED TO MAKE IT MORE USER FRIENDLY.

SO WE ARE LOOKING AT ALSO WORKING ON THE ELEMENTARY WEB SITE.

OVERDUE. WITH THE PANDEMIC I THINK THAT PUT THEM BEHIND WITH THIS PARTICULAR OBJECTIVE. SO ALSO I WANT TO REMIND YOU WITH THE WEB SITE WE HAVE POSTED ALL THE CURRICULUM TO THE WEB SITE FOR EASY ACCESS FOR COMMUNITY.

>> FOURTH INCREASING INTERNAL ENGAGEMENT WITH ADMIN NEWS LETTER.

>> SO THIS GOAL GOES REALLY HAND IN HAND WITH LAUNCH OF THE SMOR NEWS LETTER.

AGAIN EMILY ABBOTT HAS REALLY WORKED TO STREAM LINE INTERNAL COMMUNICATION TO OUR TEACHERS WITH A NEWS LETTER THAT WILL START OFF WITH A MONTHLY RELEASE AND WILL FEATURE IMPORTANT UPDATES SO REALLY THAT NEWS THAT YOU CAN USE AND OTHER HOT TOPICS AS NECESSARY.

>> SO THIS GOAL WILL BE MONITORED THE COMMUNICATION CHANNEL TO FIND OUT IF IT'S

REALLY A HELPFUL TOOL FOR OUR STAFF. >> SO WE WILL JUST MONITOR THIS.

>> FINALLY, ADMINISTERING SURVEYS FOR QUALITY ASSESSMENT OF THESE OBJECTIVES.

SO COMMUNICATIONS IS ALWAYS AN AREA FOR IMPROVEMENT FOR EVERY ORGANIZATION.

>> AND HOW WE BEST COMMUNICATE AND FREQUENCY OF DOING SO SOME TIMES UNKNOWN.

SO IT'S THE GOAL TO ADD VARIOUS COMMUNICATION TOOLS BUT WE LIKE TO SURVEY OUR INTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS AND EVENTUALLY USE THAT DATA AND ALSO GAIN DATA FROM OUR COMMUNITY AS WELL.

>> SO THAT WE CAN MAKE IMPACTFUL AND EFFICIENT CHANGES AND AGAIN EMILY ABBOTT WILL HELP LEAD THE CHARGE ON THIS. I THINK I WILL TURN IT OVER TO MATT.

>> UNLESS THE BOARD HAS QUESTIONS ABOUT COMMUNICATION? I DO HAVE NOT NECESSARILY ON ALL THE COMMUNICATION I THINK IT'S AWESOME. I LOVE THE REVISIONS THAT WE HAD ON OUR WEB SITE. BUT I DO NOTICE THAT OUR NINE THROUGH 12 PART STILL NOT THERE PER CONVERSATION IN DECEMBER. WE BROUGHT IT UP. DO WE HAVE AT LEAST A ETA OR

TIME FRAME FROM WHEN THAT WILL BE UP AND FUNCTIONING? >> YES, THAT SHOULD BE UP IN THE

NEXT TWO WEEKS. FINALIZING CORRECTIONS. >> EXCELLENT.

THANK YOU FOR THAT. >> SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT THE COMMUNICATION, TOO.

>> THE ADMIN NEWS LETTER CAN YOU TELL US WHO AUTHORS THAT? >> I THINK WHAT I AM ENVISIONING FROM EMILY AND SORRY I DIDN'T HAVE A CHANCE TO TALK TO HER IN DEPTH BUT ENVISIONING FROM DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS EVEN CENTRAL OFFICE. SO THERE COULD BE A SECTION ON HR. SO IF THIS IS FOR SPECIFICALLY FOR ADMIN THERE COULD BE SOME ITEMS FROM TEACHING AND LEARNING THAT WOULD ENABLE US TO REALLY STREAM LINE COMMUNICATION AND

CREATE A COMMON LANGUAGE. >> WHILE SHE IS OVER SEEING MISS MILROY AND MISS ABBOTT IT'S OUR GOAL TO SUPPORT. SO INFORMATION THAT WILL HELP OUR ADMINISTRATORS TIMELY IS THE INFORMATION THAT WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO PUT AND THAT CAN COME FROM ANY DEPARTMENT.

>> EXCUSE ME. >> OTHER PEOPLE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SUBMIT REQUESTS

OF THINGS TO BE INCLUDED? OTHER ADMINISTRATORS? >> ABSOLUTELY.

>> YES. >> THANK YOU. >> SOMETHING YOU WANT TO PUT IN

THERE? >> I DO NOT. >> PIGGY BACK ON THAT IS THAT

[02:05:06]

INTERNAL, INTERNAL. IS THIS A NEWS LETTER JUST GOING TO OUR STAFF COMMUNITY OR IS THIS AN INTERNAL LETTER THAT OUR PARENTS STUDENT COMMUNITY IS READING AS WELL?

JUST COMMUNICATION WITHIN THE ADMINISTRATION? >> GO BACK TO THAT SLIDE THERE.

I THINK BECAUSE WE SEND HOME SCHOOL NEWS LETTERS TO PARENTS, WE DO REALLY NICE JOB OF THAT.

>> YES THEY DO. >> AREA WE WOULD LIKE TO FOCUS ON IS THAT INTERNAL

COMMUNICATION PIECE WITH ADMINISTRATORS. >> OKAY.

THANK YOU FOR THAT. >> I JUST HAVE ONE MORE COMMENT ON THE WEB SITE.

>> I HOPE THAT WE CAN LOOK AT REORGANIZING IT TO MAKE THINGS EASIER TO FIND NOT JUST ON THE ELEMENTARY, NOT GOING TO CALL A BOARD MEMBER OUT BUT I HAVE HAD TO HELP MANY MANY PARENTS INCLUDING ONE THAT IS ON THE BOARD FIND SOMETHING ON OUR WEB SITE AND THAT IS CONCERNING.

I JUST WANT TO THROW THAT OUT THERE. >> OKAY.

>> THANK YOU. >> CALL YOURSELF OUT. >> CONCERNING ABOUT THE BOARD MEMBER? IT'S CONCERNING THAT I MEAN I THINK I FIELD A LOT OF QUESTIONS WHERE CAN I FIND THIS ON THE WEB SITE AND I CAN USUALLY HELP THEM FIND IT BUT I MEAN IF JANET

CAN'T FIND IT, SUSIE SMITH A LOT HARDER TIME. >> WE WILL TALK WITH OUR PUBLIC RELATIONS DEPARTMENT. I WILL SAY THAT WHILE I DON'T DISAGREE WITH YOU, I FIND THAT THAT'S A COMMON PROBLEM FOR MANY WEB SITES. IF I GO LOOK AT OTHER DISTRICT WEB SITES JUST NOT FAMILIAR WITH THEIR SET UP, I GOT TO LOOK AT THE WEB SITE AND FIGURE OUT, WHAT IS THEIR HIERARCHY. I THINK THAT'S A COMMON SITUATION WITH MANY WEB SITES.

BUT PERHAPS WE CAN COME UP WITH SOME KIND OF DOCUMENT THAT SAY IF YOU WANT TO KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT ACADEMIC CLICK HERE AND THEN GO THERE. MAYBE WE CAN DO SOMETHING LIKE

THAT. >> I THINK SOME TIMES MAYBE TOO MUCH UNDER HAPPENINGS.

DON'T NECESSARILY CONSIDER COVID A HAPPENING BUT THAT'S WHERE IT IS.

>> ANOTHER LITTLE FUN TIDBIT I FOUND OUT I KEPT GOING TO THE DISTRICT SITE AND IF YOU NEED INFORMATION QUITE FRANKLY IT MIGHT NOT BE ON THE FULL DISTRICT SITE.

YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE SCHOOL SITE AND EXAMPLE WOULD BE I WAS LOOKING AT CLASS WORK FOR MY SOPHOMORE IN HIGH SCHOOL AND I COULDN'T FOR THE LIFE OF ME WHERE IT SAYS ACADEMICS ABOUT INFORMATION ABOUT HIS SCHEDULE. QUITE FRANKLY IT WOULDN'T BE ON THE DISTRICT SITE.

SHOULD BE ACTUAL HIGH SCHOOL SITE AND THEIR GUIDANCE. MAYBE SOMETHING ON THE MAIN WEB SITE THAT SPECIFICALLY SAYS IN BOLD LETTERS SPECIFIC INFORMATION GO TO YOUR SCHOOL

WEB SITE. >> WHICH WE HAVE A LINK TO. >> ALL RIGHT.

WE WILL TAKE ALL OF YOUR FEEDBACK UNDER ADVISE MENT AND SHARE THAT.

>> CAN I SAY ONE MORE THING. >> GETTING, I PULLED UP A SCHOOL AND LOOKED AT THEIR NEWS LETTER AND I JUST NOTICING LOOKING AT BROOK SCHOOLS FOR EXAMPLE AND THEY HAVE GREAT LINKS SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING. THE COUNSELOR HAS POSTED THESE ARE WHAT WE ARE USING.

AND IT OPENS UP A LINK TO LOOKS LIKE A WORD DOCUMENT OF THINGS AND THE ONE I PULLED UP HAD A

LINK BUT IT WAS NOT CLICKABLE. >> SO IF YOU RECALL. GO BACK TO THOSE GOALS.

ONE OF THE GOALS WAS FOR HER TO STREAM LINE THE SUPPORTS ON THE WEB SITE FOR THE INDIVIDUAL BUILDINGS. SO GOT A LITTLE DELAYED. I DON'T WANT TO USE COVID AS AN EXCUSE BUT THAT IS MY UNDERSTANDING FROM MY PREDECESSOR.

REALITY IS THAT WE KNOW THAT'S SOMETHING WE WANT TO WORK ON. >> OKAY.

>> YES BECAUSE I MEAN WE HAVE A LOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING AND RIGHT

THERE TELLS EVERYTHING FEELING FRUSTRATED. >> ONE OF THE ONES I LOOKED AT A

LINK TO VIDEO BUT IT WASN'T AVAILABLE. >> THANK YOU.

>> YOU JUST BROUGHT UP BROOKS SCHOOL. I THOUGHT I WOULD JOIN IN WITH YOU. WHERE DID YOU GO TO FIND THE NEWS LETTER?

>> HAPPENINGS. >> LISTS FIVE DIFFERENT THINGS. WHICH MAKES SENSE TO ME.

>> IS THAT WHERE IT IS DR. STOKES? >> WELL THAT'S THE GOAL IS TO HAVE THEM ALL FAMILIAR AND STREAM LINED GO TO ANY SCHOOL AND KNOW WHERE TO FIND THINGS.

>> THAT'S GREAT. THANK YOU. >> READY? AS DR. STOKES MENTIONED WHEN WE MET IN THE SUMMER AND I WAS ABLE TO PULL OUT OUR FLIP CHART PAPER IF YOU REMEMBER WORKING ON THAT. IN THE SUMMER WE TALKED ABOUT A NEED TO INCREASE OUR STANDING IN THE SATURDAY IN VARIOUS RANKINGS WHICH HELPS DEMONSTRATE OUR PROFICIENCY AS A DISTRICT WHEN

[02:10:02]

IT COMES TO ACHIEVEMENT AND HOW WE ARE COMPARED AGAINST OTHER SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE STATE.

>> SO THE GOAL THAT WE HAVE HERE IS COMPARED TO THE TOP 10% IN INDIANA BASED ON ENROLLMENT, SOUTH EASTERN WILL STRIFE TO BE IN THE TOP FIVE IN EIGHT SPECIFIC CATEGORIES WITHIN THREE

TO FIVE YEARS. >> SO WHY 10%. WHY THE TOP 10% ENROLLMENTS.

>> WHEN COMPARING SCHOOL DISTRICTS THROUGHOUT THE STATE IT'S OFTEN DIFFICULT TO CONDUCT AN EVEN COMPARISON FOR VARIETY OF REASONS. SCHOOL DISTRICT SIZE WOULD BE

ONE REASON. >> VARIOUS DEMOGRAPHIC COMPONENTS WOULD BE ANOTHER

REASON. >> WE FEEL THAT FOCUSING IN ON THE TOP 10% AS A GROUP OF COMPARISON ALLOWS US TO MEET MANY CHALLENGES THAT LIKE SCHOOLS WOULD HAVE IN THAT -- IN

COMPARING OTHER SCHOOLS. >> THE TOP 10% ALLOW US TO COMPARE OURSELVES AGAINST OTHER

DISTRICTS SIMILAR SIZE. >> WHILE AT THE SAME TIME COMPARING AS I SAID SIMILAR

DEMOGRAPHICS AND WHEN WE ARE LOOKING AT OUTCOMES. >> IN THESE SO WHEN WE DID THIS ANALYSIS, I WILL DRAW YOUR ATTENTION TO THE NOTE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.

>> I CAN'T REMEMBER THE EXACT TIME IN THE FALL THAT I PULLED THIS DATA BUT AT THAT TIME IT

WAS AFTER, AFTER COUNT DAY. >> THERE WERE 406 SCHOOL CORPORATIONS LISTED IN THE STATE

AND I GOT ALL OF THIS DATA FROM THE DOE WEBB -- WEB SITE. >> ABOUT 28.5000 TO 20 IN TERMS

OF SIZE. >> SO WHAT WE DID WAS WHEN YOU TAKE THE TOP 10% OF THOSE DISTRICTS BASED ON ENROLLMENT WE GOT 41 SCHOOL DISTRICTS ON THAT LIST.

>> THE SMALLEST OF THOSE IS 6,556. >> AND THE 28,000 WOULD BE THE

TOP. FORT WAYNE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS. >> AS YOU CAN SEE TO THE INFORMATION ON THE RIGHT, WE WERE FOURTH ON THAT LIST. WE ARE FOURTH ON THAT LIST IN

TERMS OF ENROLLMENT. >> IN THESE 41 DISTRICTS I KNOW YOU DON'T SEE WHO ARE THE 41 DISTRICTS THAT WE WOULD BE COMPARED TO. YOU WILL FIND ALL THE SCHOOLS THAT ARE IN OUR ATHLETIC CONFERENCE HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC CONFERENCE IN RELATIVELY CLOSE PROXIMITY TO US AS WELL AS DISTRICTS THAT ARE MAYBE OUTSIDE THE INDY METRO AREA BUT OUR VERY

SIMILAR IN TERMS OF DEMOGRAPHICS AND OBVIOUSLY SIZE. >> SO TO THE RIGHT HERE IN THE BLACK AREA YOU SEE THE DIFFERENT CATEGORIES AND YOU SEE OUR CURRENT RANK ALL THE THESE NUMBERS ARE 2021 DATA EXCEPT FOR ATTEND ATTENDANCE. THE REASON THAT RECENTLY I DON'T KNOW THE EXACT DATE THAT IT GOT UPDATED BUT DUE TO COVID VARIOUS STAGES IN WHICH STUDENTS WERE VIRTUAL OR IN PERSON, THE STATE ASKED US TO CODE ATTENDANCE DIFFERENTLY AND WHEN THEY

OUTPUTTED THAT INFORMATION IT'S ALL BY SCHOOL. >> AND NOT BY DISTRICT.

>> SO WE WILL BE ABLE TO GATHER THAT DATA AT SOME POINT BUT I WILL HAVE TO LOOK AT EACH OF THE 41 DISTRICTS AND EACH OF THE SCHOOLS WITHIN EACH DISTRICT AND DO SOME AVERAGING THERE.

>> BUT I AM SURE WILL BE CLOSE TO WHERE WE ARE. >> SO THE GIST QUICKLY WHEN YOU HAVE THE RANKINGS ON THE SIDE AND ANYWHERE FROM NINE OR FOUR OR FIRST OR WHATEVER, OUT OF 41?

WE ARE FOURTH OUT OF 41? >> CORRECT. >> OR EIGHT OUT OF 41.

>> CORRECT. >> CORRECT. >> THERE ARE SO THERE ARE MANY SCHOOLS AX MANY MORE SCHOOLS THAN 14 IN THE STATE. THAT ARE "A" DISTRICTS.

14 DISTRICTS THAT WERE "A" AND WE WERE ONE OF THE 14. WE ARE JUST ONE OF 14.

1 OF 14. NOT REALLY A RANKING. CORRECT.

BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS A RANKING. >> WE ARE ABLE TO LOOK AT THE DIFFERENT, DIFFERENT AREAS. FIRST IN THE STATE. FOURTH IN GRADUATION RATE.

EIGHT IN ATTENDANCE AND SEE THE VARY LEARN RESPECTINGINGS -- I LEARN RANKINGS.

>> TO THERE IS A LOT OF COMMENTS FROM OUR COMMUNITY THAT SAYS WE ARE FALLING, WE ARE FALLING AND

WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE. >> DO YOU FEEL IN SOME OF THE DATA AND STATISTICS THAT YOU ARE SEEING THAT WE ARE ON AN UP? THAT WE ARE IMPROVING? ARE YOU SEEING BECAUSE I KNOW THEY HAVE SOME SCHOOLS ARE HAVING TESTING OVER TIME RIGHT NOW.

ARE YOU FINDING THAT WE ARE ON AN UP? >> I MEAN I DIDN'T DO, I DIDN'T LOOK HISTORICALLY AT ANY, I DIDN'T GO BACK VERY FAR. I WANTED TO USE THE MOST CURRENT

[02:15:01]

DATA AND AS YOU ALL KNOW WE HAD WORK SESSIONS ABOUT THE DATA WHERE WE TALKED ABOUT HOW THE 2021 SCORES WERE LOWER THAN IN 19, REMEMBER IN 20 THERE WAS NO TEST.

BUT THIS TAKES ALL OF THAT IN TO ACCOUNT BECAUSE WE ARE COMPARING OURSELVES AGAINST OTHER SCHOOLS

IN THAT SAME YEAR. >> SO I MEAN IT WOULD -- WE COULD DO IT.

GO BACK AND DO THAT. MY HOPE IS THAT AS WE MOVE FORWARD WE HAVE A BASELINE THAT

WILL CONTINUE TO ADD TO AND BE ABLE TO MONITOR THAT AS WE GOA. >> THIS IS THAT THREE TO FIVE

YEARS TO THE TOP FIVE. >> CORRECT. >> THANK YOU.

>> AT THE SAME TIME THE ONLY OTHER THING ON THIS PAGE DRAW YOUR ATTENTION TO, CERTAINLY PROFICIENCY DATA IS SOMETHING WE WANT TO HAVE OUR EYE ON AND WANT TO STRIFE -- STRIVE TO ACHIEVE OUR GOAL. MAKE SURE WE ARE MAINTAINING THE INNOVATION WE HAVE IN PLACE AND THE OTHER STRUCTURES THAT WE HAVE IN PLACE LIKE OUR PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE CITY.

LIKE OUR TEACHER IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM. WHERE WE ARE OFFERING INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL DELIVERY TO OUR STUDENTS WHETHER THAT IS IN THE CLASSROOM OR THAT'S OUT IN OUR COMMUNITY. WE BELIEVE WE CAN DO BOTH. WE CAN HAVE THOSE EXPERIENCES

WHILE AT THE SAME TIME EXCELLING ON STATE WIDE METRICS. >> CAN I ASK, THERE IS NO GRADES NINE THROUGH 12. IS THAT BECAUSE OF THE CHANGE IN THE GOING TO THE SAT?

YES. >> IF YOU REMEMBER IN 21, OUR JUNIORS TOOK THE I LEARN THEY

WERE SUPPOSED TO TAKE SOPHOMORES IN 20 BUT THERE WAS NO TEST. >> AND THEN NOT EVEN TAKING I LEARN ANY MORE AFTER THIS YEAR. SAT. WE HAVE THE ABILITY OVER TIME LIKE THIS WOULD BE A GREAT EXAMPLE IN THIS 22 YEAR, IN THE SPRING WE WILL BE ABLE TO ADD THE SAT ON TO THIS AND THAT WILL BE ONE OF OUR HIGH SCHOOL METRICS.

>> TYPICALLY WE DO WELL WITH SAT SCORES. DIFFERENCE WILL BE EVERY ONE OF OUR STUDENTS EVEN THOSE THAT AREN'T COLLEGE BOUND WILL BE TAKING IT.

YES THAT'S VERY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE. SO SINCE YOU BROUGHT THAT UP I JUST WANT TO CLARIFY THAT THIS IS NOT A SELECT GROUP OF STUDENTS WHO WOULD BE TAKING SAT. ALL STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE IT AND THAT IS DIFFERENT.

>> SO JUST TO PRE-EMPT THE ARGUMENT BECAUSE I HAVE NO DOUBT WHEN YOU HAVE EIGHT, I DON'T HOW MANY ARE GRADUATING. 1500 COMBINED SAY 1600 COMBINED, EVERY ONE OF THEM WILL BE TAKING THE SAT. IN THE PASSED ONLY 1,000. SCORES MOST LIKE WILL GO DOWN WITH THE SAT. I MEAN I AM NOT SAYING THEY HAVE TO BUT WHEN YOU ADD MORE PEOPLE TAKING IT INCLUDING ONES WHO NORMALLY WOULD NOT BE TAKING IT, ARE NOT STUDYING FOR IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO DESIRE TO GO. I THINK IT WOULD REFLECT THE MIND SET OF THE STUDENTS I'M NOT NECESSARILY INTERESTED IN GOING TO COLLEGE BUT MY TEACHERS HAVE WORKED DILIGENT WITH ME AND I WANT TO DO MY BEST. OR STUDENTS MAYBE HAVE A DIFFERENT MIND SET.

FUTURE GOALS. >> YES. HAVE A DAY I BELIEVE IN IT'S IN

EARLY MARCH. >> WE WILL, ALL OUR KIDS WILL SIT FOR THAT JUST LIKE THEY

WOULD IN I LEARN TEST. SIT FOR THE SAT AT SCHOOL. >> ALL JUNIORS.

THAT'S ACROSS THE STATE. >> YES MOST LIKELY WILL SEE THAT IN EVERY DISTRICT BUT THEN WE WILL HEAR FROM PEOPLE SAYING THAT'S PROOF THAT OUR SCHOOLS ARE FAILING OUR KIDS WHATEVER.

>> I JUST WANT TO PRE-EMPT THAT IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. >> ANYTHING ELSE?

THANK YOU. >> THANK YOU. I THINK WE WILL HAVE KIM AND KATY TALK ABOUT OPERATIONS, RIGHT? YES.

MAKE IT EASIER TO TRANSITION. >> SO FROM OPERATION STANDPOINT ALL DIVISIONS WILL EVIDENCE

EFFORTS TO EFFECT SUPPORT FOR STUDENT ACADEMIC SUCCESS. >> SO WE JUST -- FOR EASE OF

PRESENTATION. >> SO WE WILL START WITH COMPENSATION.

AS IT RELATES TO COMPENSATION, WE DO WANT TO CONTINUE TO MONITOR AND EVALUATE OUR SALARIES AND OUR BENEFIT PACKAGES FOR EMPLOYEES. WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO ATTRACT AND RECRUIT, RETAIN, HIGHLY QUALIFIEDED STAFF SO THAT'S AN ONGOING PROCESS.

>> TO CONTINUE TO MAKE SURE WE ARE COMPETITIVE WITH SURROUNDING DISTRICTS AND I WILL JUMP ACROSS TO STAFFING BECAUSE THOSE TWO ARE SO CLOSELY RELATED. BUT AGAIN WE DO WANT TO ENSURE WE HAVE PROPER PROCESSES, PARTNERSHIPS, TO INCREASE THE OVER ALL NUMBER OF APPLICANTS

[02:20:03]

FOR OPENINGS AGAIN THE GOAL IS TO ATTRACT HIGHLY QUALIFIED AND DIVERSE CANDIDATE POOL AND I THINK WE KNOW THAT WILL BE FACING A SHORTAGE. ARE FACING A SHORTAGE OF EDUCATORS. SO A LOT OF CONVERSATIONS THAT ARE HAPPENING RIGHT NOW OF HOW WE CAN INCREASE OUR CANDIDATE FORUM. TO MAKE SURE THAT WE ARE COMPETITIVE AND INNOVATIVE TO ATTRACT CANDIDATES. TO RETAIN THEM.

>> SO I THINK THIS MAY BE ONE OF YOURS BUT WE WANT TO ENSURE THE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT IS OPTIMAL FOR STUDENTS. VERY SIMILAR WITH TRANSPORTATION AND FOOD SERVICE.

THE SO AGAIN WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT THAT SAFETY TRANSPORTATION ENSURING THAT EVERY CHILD HAS A SAFE AND EFFICIENT TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM SCHOOL AS WELL AS FOOD SERVICE, THESE TWO DEPARTMENTS WORK VERY HARD TO SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS. SO WITH FOOD SERVICE AGAIN TO MAKE SURE OUR STUDENTS HAVE ACCESS TO HEALTHY MEALS PREPARE THEM SO THEY ARE READY TO LEARN EACH AND EVERYDAY AND THEN OF COURSE ONGOING FOR US. THIS IS A HUGE UNDERTAKING AND I WOULD BE REMISS IF I DIDN'T THANK RYAN TAYLOR FOR ALL THE WORK HE HAS DONE WITH SAFETY AND REALLY OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH SRO AND THE CITY AND EVERYTHING THAT WE ACCOMPLISHED FROM A SAFETY

STANDPOINT. >> SO AGAIN WE WANT TO CONTINUE TO IMPLEMENT PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES THAT CONTINUE TO PROVIDE OUR STAFF AND STUDENTS SAFE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.

>> EVERYBODY FAVORITE PART THE BUDGET. >> SO I THINK THE KEY WHEN WE TALK ABOUT THE BUDGET GOAL FOR THE BOARD FOR THE DISTRICT, WE WORK WITH DR. STOKES, THEY ARE

BEING COLLABORATIVE. >> PLANNING IS TO ENSURE IF THERE IS A PLAN TO GET TEACHER AND SO MANY YEARS, THAT WE BUILD THE BUDGET TO REFLECT THAT. WHEN WE ARE FUNDING A POSITION OUT OF A GRANT TO ENSURE FUNDING IT AND SEEING IF IT WILL WORK LONG TERM, WE ARE PLANNING THAT.

SO THAT I KNOW THIS YEAR WE NIGHT NEED TO ADD IT. >> EXPANSION TONIGHT, I DO THINK IT'S ALSO VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE WE JUST SIMPLY HAVE MORE NEEDS CAPITAL

WISE THAN RESOURCES. >> SO WE DO DEPARTMENT DOES A GREAT JOB BUT IT'S IMPORTANT FOR THEM THAT THEY KNOW, THIS IS GONE FOR 47 YEARS AND MADE ID WORK BUT I TIME.

THOSE ARE THE THINGS THAT ARE IMPORTANT. THAT'S WHY WE HAVE TO WORK WITH ALL DEPARTMENTS SO WE UNDERSTAND ALL THEIR NEEDS. AND HOW WE CAN BUILD A BUDGET THAT ENCOMPASSES THAT SO WE DON'T HAVE SURPRISES. I DON'T LIKE SURPRISES.

WE DON'T FIND MONEY. THAT'S A FALLACY. WE DON'T FIND IT.

WE PLAN FOR IT. WE BUILD IT IN. >> I WILL GO TOP TO BOTTOM.

REFERENDUM FOR US GENERATES ROUGHLY $23.5 MILLION A YEAR. >> AND ALLOWS US TO KEEP ALL OF OUR STATE TUITION SUPPORT DOLLARS IN THE EDUCATION FUND. WE ARE NOT TRANSFERRING MONEY OUT OF EDUCATION IN TO OPERATIONS FUND. SO THIS PLAN AND YOU KNOW WE HAVE A WORK SESSION IN FEBRUARY TO DISCUSS THAT PLAN FOR GOING OUT TO OUR COMMUNITY.

>> HOW WE WILL COMMUNICATE CLASSROOM SIZE AND WHAT THIS FUNDS FOR US.

$23.5 MILLION COMES OUT ALMOST EXACTLY TO 15% OF OUR EDUCATION FUND.

>> SO FOR US IT WOULD BE CATASTROPHIC NOT TO HAVE THIS IN TERMS OF CLASSROOM SIZE, HAVING

TARGETS 21 AND UP IN K4. >> SO THAT YOU WILL SEE MORE ABOUT WHEN WE MEET IN FEBRUARY.

>> REDISTRICTING, I KNOW DECEMBER MEETING SEEMS SO FAR AWAY.

BOARD APPROVED THE REDEFINING OF SCHOOL BOUNDARIES TO OPEN DEER CREEK ELEMENTARY.

PHASE ONE OF THIS. >> THE NEXT PHASE IS THE ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM DR. STOKES.

GATHERING ALL THE DEMOGRAPHIC DATA. THINGS THAT WE WILL NEED TO KNOW TO LOOK AT OUR POPULATION 10 YEARS OUT AS WELL AS WHAT THAT MEANS FOR OUR CAPITAL PLANNING.

FACTORS IN AS WELL DEBT CAPACITY AND FUND THINGS LIKE WE HAVE BEEN DISCUSSING IN TERMS OF HOW BIG DO OUR BUILDINGS NEED TO BE. LAST TECHNOLOGY. DISTRICT HAS INVESTED SIGNIFICANT RESOURCES IN OUR EDUCATIONAL AS WELL AS INFRASTRUCTURE TECHNOLOGY.

>> AND SO OUR DEPARTMENTS THAT SUPPORT THE STAFF AND THE STUDENTS ENSURING THEY CAN MAXIMIZE THOSE INVESTMENTS AND USE THEM TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY.

[02:25:02]

WORKING TOWARD. >> WORKING ALONG WITH THEIR TEAMS EVERYDAY.

>> I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THE REDISTRICTING PART. >> PLAN FOR THE OPENING.

TAKES IN TO CONSIDERATION DISTRICT DEMOGRAPHIC DATA. >> WE ALREADY MADE THE BOUNDARIES FOR NEXT YEAR BUT PLAN TO GET NEW DEMOGRAPHIC STUDY ANY TIME SOON?

>> THERE IS. ALREADY PROCURED AGREEMENT THAT WILL BE REVIEWING SPEAK TO DR. STOKES IN THE MORNING. OUR INTENTION ORIGINALLY WAS TO DISCUSS THAT FURTHER BUT THE TIME FRAME MAY BE DIFFERENT. THE COST IS NOT EXOR I -- NOT BE EX OR BY TANT.

GOTTEN SOME INFORMATION FROM HIM. FULL ONE, CORRECT?

>> DEMOGRAPHIC STUDY. YES. >> THANK YOU.

>> I DO HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION BUT MORE FOR DR. KEGLY. >> I WAS READING AND TRYING TO

CATCH UP ON THE INFORMATION. >> REAL QUICK ON OUR GRADUATION RATE IS IT THE WHOLE SCHOOL DISTRICT IS IT ALL STUDENTS FROM THE FOCUS GROUPS? ONE MORE TIME.

>> REFLECTIVE OF BOTH HIGH SCHOOLS. >> AND ALL STUDENTS INCLUDING

OUR EXCEPTIONAL LEARNERS FOCUS GROUP ALL OF THE STUDENTS. >> YES.

>> THANK YOU. >> WE CAN THANK OUR ACADEMY FOR HELPING OUT A LOT ON THAT.

>> ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? COMMENTS FROM THE BOARD ON THAT? ALL RIGHT.

I LIKE TO THANK OUR ADMINISTRATORS FOR PUTTING THIS TOGETHER.

I KNOW THIS IS A TON OF WORK. >> SO THANK YOU. FOR PRESENTING AND THANK YOU

WONDERFUL TEAM. >> WILL THIS GO ON THE WEB SITE? >> YES WE WANTED TO PRESENT IT

HERE AT THE BOARD FIRST AND THEN YES IT WILL GO ON THE WEB SITE. >> THANK YOU.

>> WE DID HAVE ONE SPEAKER MR. GREEN BUT HE HAS WITHDRAWN HIS -- SURE IF YOU WANT TO

SPEAK. >> I KNOW WE HAVE GONE OVER THIS BEFORE.

FOR PUBLIC COMMENT HAS TO STAY ON TOPIC AND STAY WITHIN THREE MINUTES.

CAN'T ADDRESS ANY INDIVIDUAL ON THE BOARD AND YOU HAVE YOUR TIMER.

>> THANK YOU. APPRECIATE IT. >> AS FAR AS WHAT JUST BROUGHT UP AS FAR AS ENGAGE, THE PUBLIC WOULD JUST LIKE TO ACTUALLY SUCCESSFUL LIKE TO HAVE MORE PARTICIPATION PARENTS PARTICIPATE IN THAT. WEB SITE WE ACTUALLY FIND TO BE PRETTY USER FRIENDLY JUST AS FAR AS USING THE KEY WORD. SEEMS TO BE PRETTY EFFICIENT

SEARCH ENGINE. >> BUT SHE REFERENCED ALL OF THE CURRICULUM IS LISTED ON THE WEB SITE. IS THAT TRUE? WHOLE --

>> I THINK WE ARE MISSING AND I'M SORRY I THINK -- GO AHEAD. WE ARE STILL WORKING ON THE NINE THROUGH 12. SO IF I SAID ALL, WE DO HAVE CURRICULUM POSTED BUT I THINK ACCORDING TO MICHEL WE ARE STILL WORKING ON POSTING NINE THROUGH 12.

>> ARE THE CURRICULUM GUIDES STILL UP THERE? LET MR. GREEN -- I FOR GOT.

>> AS FAR AS THE ACADEMIC, THE PUBLIC IS VERY SUPPORTIVE OF THE GUIDE POSTS AND THE SCALE THAT IS BEING BROUGHT FORWARD BY DR. KEGLY. VERY USEFUL AND THE THING OF IT WE WOULD LIKE TO EVALUATE WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LAST SIX YEARS AND WHAT MISTAKES, WHY WE DID

FALL SO MUCH OVER LAST PRIOR ADMINISTRATION. >> AND SO WE CAN LEARN FROM

THAT. >> THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND APPRECIATE THE OPPORTUNITY.

>> THANK YOU VERY MUCH. >> I'M SORRY I INTERRUPTED YOUR TIME.

BUT TO CLARIFY GUIDES UP THERE RIGHT NOW? ARE THEY BEING REVISED?

THOSE ARE BEING REVISED RIGHT NOW THE AT THE SCHOOL LEVEL. >> STUDENTS ARE CHOOSING CLASSES. CORRECT. WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF

[8. Superintendent's Report]

BEGINNING THE SCHEDULING. >> THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

>> MOVING ON TO MATTERS OF CORPORATION INTERESTS. >> WE JUST WANT TO THANK YOU AS A BOARD AND I WANT TO THANK YOU PERSONALLY FOR SUPPORTING ME. I CAN GO ON RECORD OWL SEVEN

[02:30:06]

MEMBERS ARE SUPPORTING ME AND I AM HAPPY. >> THANK YOU BOARD.

MY STAFF.

OTHER THINGS. OUR TEACHER OF THE YEAR KRISTIN DISLER WAS AMONG 18 TEACHERS PICKED BY THE PLAYOFF FOUNDATION IN RECOGNITION FOR OUTSTANDING WORK IN THE CLASSROOM TO BE HONORED DURING ON FIELD CEREMONY BEFORE THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

MONDAY AT LUCAS OIL FIELD. >> OKAY. AND THE GROUP HONOR TEACHERS WERE HOUSED FOR FOUR DAYS IN DOWNTOWN INDIANAPOLIS HOTEL AND GIVEN TWO TICKETS FOR THE GAME.

I AM SURE THAT WAS EXCITING FOR THEM. ONE, THE BEST PART FOR THE GEE ARE EDUCATORS GOT TO ATTEND A NUMBER OF FESTIVALS DURING THE WEEKEND INCLUDING THE SEMINAR

HOSTED BY THE US SECRETARY OF EDUCATION. >> I AM SURE THAT WAS

INTERESTING AND EXCITING FOR THEM. >> ALSO WANT TO SHARE MR. TAYLOR

YOU WANT ME TO SHARE OR YOU SHARE ABOUT OUR AWESOME GRANT? >> WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE WE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION HAS BEEN AWARDED OUR GRANT REQUEST AMOUNT FOR $406,695.

>> THE GRANT CALLED STOP THE VIOLENCE WAS INITIATED LAST SPRING BY MEMBERS OF OUR DISTRICT SAFETY TEAM AND WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.

>> THE GRANT WILL HELP OUR DISTRICT SUSTAIN EFFORTS TO MAINTAINING SAFE SCHOOLS WHILE ADVANCING OUR EFFORTS AND SEVERAL AREAS INCLUDING THREAT ASSESSMENT.

CRISIS RESPONSE. PBIS. >> SPECIAL THANKS GOES OUT TO GREG TRAVIS WALTERS AND LAWSON FOR ALL THEIR EFFORTS. THANK YOU AGAIN.

>> WE DO KNOW THAT THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOL ON WHEN? MONDAY.

>> WHY? >> WE ARE CELEBRATING MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY.

I WILL SAY THERE ARE SEVERAL ACTIVITIES GOING ON THAT INVOLVE SOME OF OUR STUDENTS FOR EXAMPLE SOME OF OUR SECONDARY STUDENTS. INVITED TO PRAIRIE FOR IN PERSON MLK CELEBRATION.

WE GOT 22 STUDENTS FROM FALL CREEK JUNIOR HIGH SUBMITTED ART WORK FOR CONTESTS SPONSORED BY THE EMERGING PEARL FOUNDATION AND CAPTAIN IN CENTRAL INDIANA. MLK WALK ABOUT HSC.

>> AND IT WILL BE HELD IN TWO OF THE HIGHWAYS -- HALLWAYS. >> HIGH SCHOOL COMMUNITY ALSO HAS A SERVICE PROJECT THAT THEY ARE ENCOURAGING ARTIST PATIENT AND I WOULD BE REMISS IF I DIDN'T TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT I WAS OUT AT GEIST ELEMENTARY AND THEY HAD STUDENTS WHO HAD DONE RESEARCH FOR VARIOUS PEOPLE THROUGHOUT SOCIETY INCLUDING PEOPLE LIKE JF KEN KEN -- KENNEDY OR OPRAH. THEY DID RESEARCH AND THEY WERE DRESSED UP IN COSTUMES LIKE THE PERSON THEY WERE REPRESENTING. THEY HAD LITTLE DOTS ON THEIR HAND LIKE A ROBOT AND WHEN YOU MATCH THE DOT, HI. I AM AND THEY WOULD START TALKING ABOUT THE PERSON.

I THOUGHT IT WAS AWESOME. SO I JUST WANTED TO SHARE LITTLE BIT ABOUT THAT AS WELL.

>> THE OTHER THING I WANT TO TALK ABOUT TWO MORE THINGS. I WANT TO TALK ABOUT LIBRARY BOOKS. I WANT TO JUST REMIND ALL OF US THAT WE DO HAVE A BOARD POLICY

AND IF YOU WANT TO WRITE THIS DOWN. >> I03.02 SPEAKS TO THE PROCESS ABOUT CONCERNS YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT ANY OF OUR LIBRARY OR INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL.

>> AND WHAT I WILL TELL YOU IS THAT WE HAVE ALSO ADDED TO THAT PROCESS TO VET MORE OF WHAT IT IS WE WANT TO DO. SO RIGHT NOW WHAT IS OCCURRING IS THAT OUR DIRECTOR OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY SENT TO MY TWO EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS DR. LONE AND MISS BRITTEN LIST

OF THE BOOKS WE HAVE IN OUR LIBRARY. >> DESTINY SYSTEM.

BOTH DIRECTORS GONE OUT AND MET WITH BUILDING PRINCIPALS TALKED ABOUT WHAT THEIR PROCESS IS FOR VETTING BOOKS. EACH DIRECTOR HAS DONE IT. THAT WAS MY CHARGE TO THEM.

[02:35:02]

EACH PRINCIPAL IS UPDATING OR HAS UPDATED THE DIRECTORY REGARDING ADDITIONS OR CHANGES

TO THEIR PROTOCOL BUT THEY WOULD HAVE TO FOLLOW BOARD POLICY. >> YOU CAN GET A FEEL FOR WHAT

WE ARE DOING. >> SOMETHING ELSE THAT WE DID ADD, THOUGH, WE ADDED A PROCESS

OF REQUISITIONS APPROVAL. >> EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MUST REVIEW AND APPROVE A BOOK LIST

BEFORE OUR CFO WILL PAY FOR ANY MATERIAL. >> NOW WITH THAT BEING SAID,.

>> I DIRECTED FOUR BOOKS TO BE REMOVED FROM THE CIRCULATION FOR 30 DAYS.

THAT'S OUR BOARD PROCESS. >> DURING THAT TIME IT WOULD HAVE ALLOWED FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT IF YOU LOOK AT THAT PROCESS YOU WILL SEE WHAT I'M

TALKING ABOUT. >> WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY COMMUNITY MEMBER FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT.

HOWEVER, I HAD THE DISCRETION TO DECIDE TO KEEP THOSE FOUR BOOKS OFF.

FOR NOW THOSE FOUR ARE NOT THERE. I DO WANT TO DO THINGS SUPPORTIVE TO OUR STUDENTS EDUCATION, I DON'T WANT TO GET IN TO BREACHING CENSORSHIP RIGHTS OR THINGS LIKE THAT. WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THE MATERIAL WE PRESENT TO OUR STUDENTS IS SAFE AND THAT IT HAS EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE. SO WE DO TAKE LIBRARY BOOKS SERIOUSLY. WE DO TAKE THE FACT WE HAVE A DIVERSE POPULATION OF STUDENTS SERIOUS AS WELL. WHAT I WANT TO SAY NOT EVERY BOOK IN THE LIBRARY MAY MEET THE NEED OF YOUR CHILD BUT THE NEED OF SOMEONE ELSE CHILD. HOWEVER, IF YOU HAVE A CONCERN, LOOK AT BOARD POLICY, AND IT GIVES YOU THE PROCESS BY WHICH YOU CAN MAKE A REQUEST FOR BOOK TO BE LOOKED AT. A FORM AND COULD ASSIST YOU WITH SOME OF THAT.

>> OKAY. DR. STOKES REALLY QUICK QUESTION ON THAT.

>> WHEN YOU SAID THAT THE BOOKS WERE PULLED FOR 30 DAYS. WAS THERE ANNOUNCEMENT WITHIN THE SCHOOL DISTRICT SO PEOPLE KNEW THAT THOSE BOOKS WERE PULLED? IS THERE ANY TYPE OF COMMUNICATION SO BECAUSE YOU MAKE A COMMENT THAT NOBODY SAID

ANYTHING, BUT IF NOBODY KNEW THEY WERE PULLED, I -- >> NORMALLY, SO HERE IS WHY I SAY THAT. PROCESS IS NORMALLY WE DON'T NECESSARILY PULL A BOOK AND ARE UNLESS SOMEBODY FILES GOES THROUGH THE PROPER PROCESS ABOUT COMPLAINT.

SINCE SOMETHING WAS EXPRESSED TO ME. I HAD MY STAFF LOOK IN TO SOME

THINGS AND WE PULLED FOUR BOOKS. >> I HAVE TO SAY, TOO, I KNOW PERSONALLY I THINK OF MYSELF AND MAYBE ONE OR TWO OTHER BOARD MEMBERS HAD MADE A COMMENT TO YOU ABOUT THE BOOKS IN OUR SCHOOL DISTRICT AND I COMMEND YOU FOR PUTTING TOGETHER YOUR AUDIT TEAM AND TAKING A LOOK AT

THAT AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS TO CONTINUE THAT DRIVE. >> I APPRECIATE IT.

>> ALL RIGHT. YOU ARE WELL COME. LAST THING I WANT TO TALK ABOUT AND I MAY HAVE DR. KEGLY TALK BRIEFLY. AS YOU KNOW WE MONITOR OR IF YOU DON'T KNOW, WE MONITOR DAILY AND OF COURSE ON OUR WEB SITE YOU CAN LOOK AT INFORMATION ON OUR DASH BOARD. WE MONITOR OUR STAFF AND OUR BUILDINGS HOW MANY STAFF ARE OUT. OUR STUDENTS. WE MONITOR ALL THIS INFORMATION AND LITERALLY PROBABLY ON A TWO DAY ROLLING CYCLE WE ARE MAKING DECISION ABOUT PARTICULAR SCHOOLS. THIS SCHOOL WILL BE OPEN. WE HAVE NOT BEEN IN A SITUATION HOPE NEVER BUT WE NOT BEEN IN A SITUATION WHERE WE HAVE TO GO VIRTUAL.

BUT IF WE DID HAVE TO GO VIRTUAL, I JUST NEED YOU TO UNDERSTAND WE ARE MAKING THAT DECISION ON A BUILDING BY BAILING AND WE WANT TO GIVE FAMILY AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND STAFF AS MUCH NOTICE AS POSSIBLE.

>> IT WOULD BE SIMILAR TO HOW WE OPERATE LAST YEAR, WE STARTED THE SCHOOL TERM IN AUGUST AND HOW WE WENT TO VIRTUAL LEARNING FOR THE HOLIDAYS SO THAT WILL HAPPEN K-12 AND IF WE LOOKED AT AN INDIVIDUAL BUILDING THAT WOULD BE VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION AT THAT BUILDING AND WE HAVE SOME PIECES WE NEED TO PULL TOGETHER IN TERMS OF SCHEDULES AND HOW OTHER AREAS MIGHT BE IMPACTED IF WE WERE TO MAKE THAT MOVE BUT THAT'S A CONVERSATION WE DEVELOPED IN CONCERT WITH THE TEACHERS ASSOCIATION LAST SPRING TO TALK ABOUT HOW ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT CLOSURES OR CHANGES TO INSTRUCTION MIGHT OCCUR GIVEN THE CIRCUMSTANCES IN OUR COMMUNITY.

SO WE HAVE A PLAN IN PLACE TO DO THAT AND THE PRINCIPLES ARE GOING TO WORK WITH THE STAFF SO WE CAN BEGIN TO THINK ABOUT WHAT THAT'S GOING TO LOOK LIKE IN MY INDIVIDUAL BUILDING AND WE WILL SUPPORT THEM IN THE PROCESS.

>> THANK YOU, THE ABSOLUTE LAST THING I WANT TO SAY, I WANT TO

[02:40:06]

THANK MY STAFF AND I WANT TO HIGHLIGHT ESPECIALLY ZACH, ZACH, STAND UP. STAND UP, ZACHARY ZACH IS THE JACK OF ALL TRADES HE DRIVES THE BUS, HE SUPERVISES HE DOES WHATEVER IT TAKES TO MAKE SURE OUR STUDENTS CAN GET TO SCHOOL AND I WANT TO THANK MY CENTRAL OFFICE TEAM BECAUSE THEY HAVE SO DILIGENTLY BEEN GUIDED BY THE THOUGHT PROCESS OF ALL HANDS ON DECK SO IF WE NEEDED HELP IN OUR BUILDINGS, OUR STAFF WAS THERE ON A MOMENTS NOTICE AND I WANT TO THANK ABBY BECAUSE SHE WENT OUT TO HELP SO WE ARE A FAMILY AND WE DO WANT TO KEEP OUR KIDS IN SCHOOL WHERE POSSIBLE WE WANT TO KEEP THEM IN SAFELY SO KUDOS TO ALL OF THOSE WHO HAVE STEPPED UP.

OUR TEACHERS, OUR STAFF, OUR COMMUNITY AND THE BOARD FOR ASSISTING US.

>> AND BY STEPPING US, YOU MEANT THEY WENT TO SUBSTITUTES IN CLASSROOMS?

>> THEY WANT TO BUILDINGS SOME SUPERVISED AND SOME TAUGHT.

>> WERE YOU ONE OF THOSE? >> I WENT OUT AND I DID SUPERVISION AND ROOMING Ã MOVING ROOM TO ROOM AND TO GET A FEEL FOR IF WE HAD ENOUGH STAFF BUT DOCTOR CAGLE HE TAUGHT IN ONE OF THE CLASSROOMS. I'M NOT JOKING I KNOW HE DID I TOOK A PICTURE.

>> SECOND GRADE.

>> THANK YOU AND SO TO ASK A QUESTION, IF WE HAVE TO EXERCISE THE OPTION TO CLOSE THE GRADE LEVEL, HIGH SCHOOL OR SCHOOL OR MOST LIKELY IT WOULD BE A STAFFING ISSUE AT THIS POINT.

>> WE RUN INTO EVERYTHING FROM A STAFFING ISSUE IT COULD BE TRANSPORTATION IS EDGES SHARED, ZACH IS STRIVING BUT MOST LIKELY IT COULD BE A STAFFING ISSUE OR A PARTICULAR CLASSROOM QUARANTINING ISSUE STATEMENT CAN YOU GIVE A SHOUT OUT FOR OUR SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS WE ARE USING A GOOD PORTION OF THEM RIGHT NOW AND IF SOMEONE WERE TO SAY TOMORROW FILL OUT A FORM FOR SUBSTITUTE TEACHING FROM THAT POINT HOW LONG UNTIL THEY CAN WORK IS IT A WEEK?

>> I WILL ASK MISS LIPPI IF SOMEONE FILLED A FORM OUT TOMORROW TO BE A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER HOW LONG WOULD IT BE BEFORE THEY COULD ACTUALLY WORK?

>> I THINK IT JUST DEPENDS BECAUSE THEY WOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE BACKGROUND CHECK BUT THE PROCESS HAS BEEN STREAMLINED IF THEY REACH OUT TO US WE WILL HELP THEM WALK THROUGH THAT AND IF WE CAN EXPEDITE IT IN ANY WAY WE ARE HAPPY TO.

>> 7 TO 10 DAYS?

>> IT TOOK ME 3 TO 4 WEEKS AND THE APPLICATION I THINK THEY CALLED ME A LITTLE QUICKER BECAUSE THE COORDINATOR REALIZED I WAS A BOARD MEMBER SO I HAD TO GO THROUGH A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT PROCESS THE BACKGROUND CHECK I DID CONFIRM SOME INFORMATION AND IT'S NOT TOMORROW BUT THEY DID, IT WAS AN EXCELLENT, WAS STREAMLINED AND EASY AND GOT ME THROUGH AS QUICKLY AS THEY COULD TO GET ME APPROVED.

>> SO IT'S IMPERATIVE, A VERY IMPORTANT SHOUT OUT TO START THE PROCESS SO WE CAN GET THEM IN THE BUILDING CORRECT?

>> I WOULD TELL ANYONE WHO IS CONCERNED ABOUT THE PROCESS THE COORDINATORS ARE INCREDIBLE AND THEY WILL WORK WITH YOUR SCHEDULE, YOU CAN REQUEST GRADE LEVELS I AM SURE IF YOU SAID I CAN ONLY DO MONDAY THEY WOULD FIGURE YOU COULD DO THAT SO IF YOU HAVE A DAY OFF ON YOUR SCHEDULE OR IF IT'S PERIODIC YOU COULD CHECK THAT SCHEDULE IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK. ANYBODY COULD FILL IN.

ONE MORE COMMENT. HAVE A SHOUT OUT TO THE TEACHERS WHO ARE USING PREP TIME TO COVER CLASSES AS WELL.

AM I IMAGINING THINGS OR DID I HEAR SOMETHING ABOUT POSSIBLY CHANGING THE CRITERIA FOR SUBS WHERE THEY DON'T HAVE TO HAVE SO MANY COLLEGE CREDIT HOURS OR WAS THAT A DREAM I HAD? HAVE YOU HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THAT?

>> I DON'T KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING OFFICIAL BUT WE WILL LOOK INTO THAT. THAT WOULD BE NICE.

>> I THOUGHT IT WAS COMING FROM THE NATIONAL LEVEL BUT I THINK IT COULD BE WRONG.

>> WE WILL WORK TO ACCOMMODATE YOUR SCHEDULE SO IF THAT'S SOMETHING YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WE WILL WORK WITH YOU.

>> SO IF YOU WILL, JEFF IF YOU COULD PULL UP THE MEETING FOR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 26 MEETING, THE DRAFT.

OF COURSE YOU KNOW I SAY I AM NOT GOING TO READ IT BUT I DO SAY IN THE ACTION ITEMS THERE ARE PROBABLY ONLY 2 LEFT THE EASEMENT I DON'T THINK YOU GUYS VOTED ON THAT AND DURBIN AND

[02:45:09]

TENNIS COURTS BECAUSE EVERYTHING ELSE WAS COVERED SO I THINK EVERYTHING ELSE IS PRETTY SELF-EXPLANATORY THE YEAR AND FISCAL REPORT AND TRANSFERS, WE WILL HEAR A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THAT KATIE MENTIONED 6.04 ABOUT THE GEO BONDS SALUTE WILL COME BACK AND TALK ABOUT THOSE THINGS AS INFORMATION ITEMS. AND THAT'S ALL I HAVE.

>> AND I THINK WE HAVE A WORK SESSION ON JANUARY 27 OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON THE RESTORATIVE PRACTICES THAT CORRECT?

>> 5 PM, CORRECT? >> THANK YOU.

>> AND JUST BEFORE WE LEAVE I KNOW WE HAVE A LOT OF SHOUT OUTS I WANT TO SAY CONGRATS TO DOCTOR TERESA SEYMOUR SHE IS THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL ADD RECENTLY DEFENDED HER DISSERTATION AND I COMMEND ANYBODY WHO CAN COMPLETE THAT AND I JUST WANTED TO CONGRATULATE HER.

SO IF THERE IS NOTHING ELSE, ANY OTHER?

>> AND I THINK IN OUR CONSENT AGENDA WE ACCEPTED MR. TAYLOR'S RETIREMENT SO JUST THANK HIM FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE AND KEEPING OUR KIDS SAFE AT BEST WITCHES IN THE FUTURE.

>> REMEMBER, I DIDN'T DO IT MR. TAYLOR.

>> THERE IS NO ESCAPE. SUE MIGHT DO YOU WANT A COUNTDOWN? T -70 HOURS OR DAYS?

>>. [INDISCERNIBLE] I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT ÃI TOLD DOCTOR STOKES IN AUGUST YOU ARE LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES. I HAVEN'T STOPPED LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES FOR 25 YEARS BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT WE DO AND I HAD OPPORTUNITIES THE RELATIONSHIPS WE HAVE HAD AND THIS COMMUNITY I HAVE BEEN A PART OF IT FOR 20 YEARS AND I JUST WISH EVERYBODY THE BEST AND I APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT EVERYBODY HAS GIVEN ME AND I AM WORKING WITH THE CITY OF ALL THE SCHOOLS AND ALL OF YOU SO I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING ME ALL OF THESE YEARS AND I WILL MISS YOU.

>>. [APPLAUSE]
