SO TONIGHT'S SOS WILL BE A VIDEO BECAUSE WE'RE HONORING HOLLY MILLER WHO IS A STEM TEACHER AT RIVER SIDE INTERMEDIATE AND JUST LEFT THIS WEEK TO START HER ALBERT EINSTEIN FELLOWSHIP IN WASHINGTON, D.C., SO I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH HER AND DO THIS STORY WITH HER SO WE COULD HONOR HER DURING THE
SUMMER. >> I HAVE BEEN AWARDING THE ALBERT EINSTEIN DISTINGUISHED EDUCATOR FELLOWSHIP, WHICH IS
FOR K-12 STEM TEACH TEACHERS . . >>> I HAVE BEEN AWARDED ALBERT EINSTEIN DISTINGUISHED EDUCATOR FELLOWSHIP, WHICH IS FOR K-12 STEM TEACHERS TO WORK IN WASHINGTON, D.C. FOR A YEAR.
I FOUND OUT ABOUT IT FROM SOMEONE IN MY PH.D. PROGRAM THAT HAD ALSO BEEN A FELLOW AND THEY SAIDS THE A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE, ALL THE FELLOWS ARE EITHER PLACE THIS IS A CONGRESSIONAL OFFICE OR FEDERAL AGENCY.
IT'S REMARKABLE. I WILL GET TO DRAFT LEGISLATION AND I WILL BE A CONSULTANT. IT'S REALLY GOING TO BE HARD FOR ME TO BE OUT OF THE CLASSROOM THOUGH BECAUSE I LOVE KIDS AND I LOT LOVE MY JOB, SO I THINK BEING AROUND ADULTS ALL DAY IS GOING TO BE REALLY WEIRD.
BUT I'M HOPEFUL THAT I CAN ENACT SOME LEGISLATION THAT REALLY HAS AN IMPACT AND A LONG LASTING EFFECT FOR KIDS.
>>> AND I KNOW SHE'S NOT HERE BUT I WANT TO REITERATE THAT SHE IS JUST HAVING BEEN IN A BUILDING WHERE SHE WORKS IS JUST AMAZING. SHE IS DEFINITELY DESERVING OF THIS HONOR. SO JUST WANT TO SAY THAT.

[4. Public Comments]
RECENTLY WE WILL BE TAKING PUBLIC COMMENTS WITH THE AGENDA ITEMS THAT IT PERTAINS TO. JUST A REMINDER THAT AS YOU SPEAK TO THE BOARD, YOUR STATEMENTS -- YOU'LL BE GIVEN THREE MINUTES. THERE IS A YELLOW BUZZER THAT WILL GO OFF AFTER THIRTY SECONDS OR THIRTY SECONDS LEFT AND THEN THE RED IS YOUR TIME. SO THIRTY SECONDS BEFORE THE END OF THE THREE MINUTES TO GIVE YOU TIME TO WRAP UP YOUR THOUGHTS.INFORMATION SHOULD NOT BE PERSONAL TO A BOARD MEMBER OR
[00:05:03]
NAME ANY PERSONS IN OUR DISTRICT.ALSO DEVIATION FROM THIS PROCEDURE CAN RESULT IN THE LOSS OF YOUR PRIVILEGE TO CONTINUE SPEAKING.
THERE ARE A COUPLE IDENTITIES ON IDENTITIES ON THIS AGENDA IS THAT I WANT TO BRING YOUR ATTENTION TO BECAUSE WE HAVE SOME FOLKS THAT WANT TO SPEAK ABOUT THE LIBRARY APPOINTMENT AND ALSO OUR RESOLUTION, FOR EXAMPLE THE LIBRARY APPOINTMENT IS ABOUT A PERSON, NOT THE LIBRARY ITSELF OR ITEMS HOUSED IN THE LIBRARY AND IT IS ABOUT THE PUBLIC LIBRARY, NOT H FC SCHOOLS LIBRARY. SO JUST KEEP THAT IN MIND AS YOU PREPARE YOUR COMMENTS. ALSO WITH THE RESOLUTION, THE RESOLUTION DOES NOT HAVE ANY DIRECT -- IT IS NOT DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE OPERATIONS POLICY OR PROCEDURE TODAY.
IT IS ABOUT WHO TAKES CARE OF THE ORANGES PLAN, SO IT'S NOT SPECIFICALLY ABOUT THE PLAN. SO WE WILL NOT BE DISCUSSING MASKS TODAY AT THIS MEETING. SO JUST BE PREPARED FOR THAT AS
[5. Information Items]
WELL. ON TO OUR INFORMATION ITEMS. SO FIRST UP WE HAVE OUR PREPAYMENT OF EMPLOYER HEALTH PREMIUM. AND YAY, WE HAVE KATIE HERE WITH US FOR HER FIRST BOARD MEETING. WELCOME.BEFORE YOU THIS EVENING FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING OR REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION FOR PREPAYMENT OF EMPLOYER PEEL AS IT RELATES TO OUR SELF-HEALTH INSURANCE FUND, THE DISTRICT PROVIDES HEALTH INSURANCE TO OUR MEMBERS USING A SELF-FUNDED PLAN, THE PLAN'S FUNDED USING A COMBINING OF EMPLOYEE AND EMPLOYER PREMIUMS. WE MAINTAIN A STAFF LOSS POLICY THAT PROTECTS THE DISTRICT FROM CATASTROPHIC CLAIMS. THE CURRENT AMOUNT OF OUR PREMIUMS IS NOT SUFFICIENT TO SUPPORT IS CLAIM EXPENSES AT THIS TIME.
THE RESOLUTION PRESENTED FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION PROVIDES FOR A PREPAYMENT OF EMPLOYER PREMIUMS SO IT'S A DISTRICT'S PREMIUM IN THE AMOUNT OF A MILLION DOLLARS.
THIS PREPAYMENT IS NECESSARY FOR CASH FLOW PURPOSES.
WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING WITH THE ASSOCIATION ON POSSIBLE HEALTH BENEFIT AND PREMIUM ADJUSTMENTS SO THAT WE CAN BRING THE PLAN INTO BALANCE, PREMIUMS AND CLAIMS EQUALING OUT.
ANY CHAINS WOULD BE EFFECTIVE JANUARY OF 2022, THE JANUARY 1, THIS COULD COINCIDE WITH STAFF RAISES.
BENEFITS MUST BE BARGAINED. ANY CHANGES WILL BE DISCUSSED AND AUTHORIZES DURING THE BARGAINING PROCESS AND THAT CONTRACT COMES BACK TO THE BOARD FOR APPROVAL ONCE WE'VE TENTATIVELY APPROVED WITH THE TEACHERS ASSOCIATION.
PLAN CHANGES WOULD BE APPROVED WITH THE DISTRICT, AND I KNOW THIS IS A DEPARTURE FROM PRACTICE, I AM REQUESTING IF YOU WOULD CONSIDER AND VOTE ON THIS PERHAPS THIS EVENING BECAUSE IT'S A TIME SENSITIVE MATTER FOR US.
SO I WOULD WITH AREN'TFULLY MAKT THE REQUEST.
THANK YOU. >> BOARD DO YOU HAVE ANY
QUESTIONS? >> JUST REAL QUICK, WHY IS IT
TIME SENSITIVE? >> IT'S TIME SENSITIVE FROM THE ASPECT OUR NEXT MEETING IS AUGUST 11 AND WE WANTED TO HAVE IT IN THERE TO ENSURE WE HAVE SOME HIGH CLAIM WEEKS AND WE WAN TO MAKE SURE WE'RE PROTECTED.
>> ANY OTHER QUESTIONS OR EXEMPTS FROM COMMENTS.
PER IV REQUEST I WOULD LIKE TO OPEN IT UP TO IF THERE ARE ANY
MOTIONS TO APPROVE. >> I MOVE TO A A APPROVE THE
PREPAYMENT. >> MOTION MADE BY -- SECONDED BY SARAH. SECONDED BY JULIE.
WHO WAS -- SARAH? >> IT WAS MICHELLE BUT --
>> WAS IT MICHELLE? >> I'M SORRY, MICHELLE I THINK I NEED YOUR FACE UP HERE ON THE THING.
THANK YOU. ANY OTHER QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS? OKAY, SEEING THERE ARE NONE I'LL HAVE JULIE CALL FOR THE VOTE.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH. NEXT UP IS THE LIBRARY BOARD APPOINTMENT. AND I BELIEVE WE HAVE MR. MEYER HERE WITH US TONIGHT TO SPEAK. WELCOME.
>> I THINK I WAS ASKED TO EXPLAIN WHAT WE DO AT THE HAMILTON EAST PUBLIC LIBRARY. JUST LITTLE BACKGROUND MY NAME A
[00:10:03]
BRIAN MEYER, 30 PLUS YEAR FISHERS RESIDENT, THREE OF MY KITS WENT THROUGH THE H FC SCHOOL CORPORATION TO I'M A CURRENT APPOINTEE BY HAMILTON SOUTHEAST SCHOOL BOARD.I'VE BEEN ON THE BOARD FOR 12 YEAR.
THE DETERMINE ACTUALLY EXPIRED TE END OF THE MONTH AND I'M WILLING TO SERVE ANOTHER TERM OR SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO PICK SOMEONE ELSE THAT'S FINE, I'VE BEEN HAPPY WITH MY 12 YEARS THERE. THE SCHOOL BOARD -- I'M SORRY, THE HAMILTON EAST PUBLIC LIBRARY IS MADE UP OF SEVEN BOARD MEMBERS SIMILAR TO YOURSELVES. ONE IS APPOINTED BY HAMILTON SOUTHEAST SCHOOL SCHOOL NOBLESVO KIND OF A VARIED GROUPFUL WE SERVE BASICALLY FOUR TOWNSHIPS, DELAWARE, FALL CREEK NOBLESVILLE AND WAIVER AND WE HAVE TWO LIBRARIES, ONE IN FISHERS AND ONE IN NOBLESVILLE. I GUESS I'M HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTION YOU HAVE ABOUT HOW THE BOARD OPERATION.
BASICALLY WE -- YOU KNOW, POLICY, FIDUCIARY THINGS.
BUDGETS. WE HIRE I GUESS LIKE THE SUPERINTENDENT, WE HIRE OUR CEO AND DIRECTOR, WHICH SHE RUNS ALL OF THE LIBRARY AND SHE HAS STAFF BELOW HER BASED IN EACH BUILDING, THAT TYPE OF THING, BUT REALLY IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS I CAN ANSWER THEM, IF NOT I CAN POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT
AND THANK YOU FOR COMING TONIGHT.
BOARD MEMBERS ANY QUESTIONS? >> I HAVE A COUPLE.
SO WITH THE HPO HAS BUILDING CONSTRUCTION THAT HAS STARTED IN BOTH THE FISHERS AND NOBLESVILLE BUILDING, IF FACILITIES WHAT HAS YOUR ROLE BEEN ON THESE PROJECTS?
AND YOU GIVE US A -- >> AS A BOARD MEMBER WE -- I DON'T KNOW IF ANY OF YOU HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS. KIND OF PUT TOGETHER WHAT OUR NEEDS ARE, RIGHT. AT FISHERS FOR INSTANCE WE'VE KIND OF TRANSITIONED FROM WHAT USED TO BE NOT REALLY A RURAL LIBRARY BUT NOW IT'S MORE OF AN URBAN LIBRARY.
WE'RE KIND OF SURROUND NOW WITH EVERYTHING THAT'S BEEN BUILT AROUND THE LIBRARY SO WE'RE TRYING TO MAXIMIZE PARKING TO THE FACILITY. WE'RE GOING TO BE TYING INTO THE TRAIL THAT WILL BE THERE AND ALSO WE'RE WORKING WITH THE TOWN OF FISHERS THE AS FAR AS PUTTING TOGETHER -- THEY'RE PUTTING IN SOME ART WORK, AS FAR AS A PEDESTRIAN TYPE THING ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE LIBRARY. WE'RE GOING TO BE MOVING THE ENTRANCE TO THE NORTH SIDE. UP AT NOT ONLIESVILLE WE HAVE ISSUES WITH PARKING UP THERE. ACCESS.
I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'VE BEEN TO THE NOBLESVILLE LIBRARY WE'VE OPEN ON THE BACK SIDE AS A SEPARATE ENTRANCE TO THE CHILDREN'S AREA. WE'LL BE DOING MORE IMPROVEMENTS THERE AND DOING MORE IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE
AND I JUST THOUGHT WE WERE ALL PREPARING QUESTIONS SO I PREPARED THREE. ON THE HPO WEBSITE THERE ARE SEVERAL AREAS THAT REFER TO ONGOING SUPPORT OF HF SCHOOLS ANDNOBLESVILLE SCHOOLS. WHAT IS YOUR IMPRESSION OF THE WORKING RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HF SCHOOL AND THE HEPL?
>> I KNOW THE LIBRARY PROVIDES BASICALLY LIBRARY CARTS TO ALL THE STUDENTS BE THEY FROM FISHERS OR NOBLESVILLE.
THAT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR QUITE A WHILE.
I THINK THEY TIE INTO THE STUDENT ID.
I KNOW IN THE PAST OUR DIRECTOR HAS MET WITH THE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS TO TRY THE MATCH UP WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE SCHOOLS AND WHAT PROGRAMS WE'RE OFFERING AT THE LIBRARY AT BOTH BUILDINGS. WE HAVE A LOT OF OUTREACH WHERE THEY GO OUT INTO THE BUILDINGS AND EXPLAIN WHAT -- AND HELP MAYBE THE YOUNGER KITS GET AN IDEA OF WHAT GOES ON IF THE
LIBRARY. >> SO A LOT OF COLLABORATION.
>> YEAH WE TRY THE COLLABORATE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, IN NOBLESVILLE, THE INDIANA ROOM IS UPSTAIRS, IT'S A VERY -- A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO DO RESEARCH BASE ON INDIANA, HISTORY OF INDIANA AND WE'RE GOING TO BE RENOVATING THAT AS PART OF THE FORTHCOMING
CONSTRUCTION. >> OKAY, THANK YOU FOR THAT.
AND HAVING SERVED 12 YEARS, THAT'S GREAT ON OUR HPL BOARD WHAT DO YOU FEEL THE NEXT FOUR YEARS LOOKS LIKE IN TERMS OF STRENGTHS AND OPPORTUNITY AND POTENTIAL POSSIBLE THREATS OR CONCERNS THAT WE WOULD HAVE? SO WHAT WOULD BE SOME POSITIVES
AND STUFF. >> I THINK AS YOU SAID WE'RE IN THE MIDST OF CONSTRUCTION. WE'VE BID OUT THE FIRST PHASE NOW AND WE'LL BE DOING A LITTLE MORE WORK DOWN THE LINE.
WITH COVID, BUNDLE BUDGETARY WE HAVE A LOT OF CONCERNS WHAT
[00:15:04]
HAPPENS IN TERMS OF REVENUE STREAM.WE'VE BEEN TALKING WITH OUR ADVISER OPERATION WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING WITH THE TAXES. WE TRY TO BE CONSERVATIVE AND SAVE MONEY, RAINY DAY FUND, THAT TYPE OF THING AS FAR AS -- SO WE'RE SET SHOULD WE HAVE BUDGET ISSUES WHERE WE MAY HAVE TO DO CUT BACKS. THAT TYPE OF THING, SO THAT'S WHAT I ENVISION GOING ON OVER THE NEXT FOUR YEARS.
>> THANK YOU BRIAN, I APPRECIATE YOUR TIME.
>> 12 YEARS IS A LONG TIME TO SERVE.
SO IF YOU HAD TO PICK OUT JUST A COUPLE OF THINGS WHAT WOULD YOU SAY ARE YOUR GREATEST CRICKS -- CONTRIBUTIONS IN THAT TIME?
>> A LOT OF IT IS THE CONSTRUCTION, I DON'T KNOW IF YOU RECOGNIZE ME FROM PAST BOARD MEETINGS, I WORK FOR A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, WE DO A LOT OF CONSTRUCTION WORK WITH SCHOOLS. I THINK I BRING THAT AS A STRENGTH TO THE BOARD AS FAR AS HELPING THEM WORK THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION ISSUES. SO I'VE BEEN WITH THE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR 30 PLUS YEARS.
>> THANKS. >> I DO HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS.
>> MICHELLE. >> THIS IS MICHELLE.
YES. SO BRIAN, I DO HAVE A QUESTION WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR EXPLOSIVE GROWTH IN WAYNE TOWNSHIP HAS THERE BEEN ANY DISCUSSION ABOUT A THIRD LIBRARY BEING LOCATED IN
WAYNE TOWNSHIP? >> THERE HAS BEEN DISCUSSION AND WE ACTUALLY OWN SOME PROPERTY IN THAT DIRECTION.
WE ACTUALLY OWN SOME PROPERTY ALSO OUT WEST OF NOBLESVILLE THAT WE DON'T SEE MUCH GROWTH OUT THERE.
WE'RE KIND OF U7 AGAINST THE WESTFIELD IN CAR MEL LINE BUT MOVING IN THE NOBLESVILLE IS A POTENTIAL CONSIDER EVEN WE TALKED ABOUT A STORE FRONT KIND OF LIBRARY WHERE IT'S NOT A FULL-BLOWN ONE BUT YOU STILL HAVE SERVICES BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE THE CIRCULATION AND ALL THE BOOKS THAT WE HAVE AT THE MAJOR LIBRARIES SO THAT IS SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN DISCUSSED.
>> I KNOW A LOT OF LIBRARY CHECK OUT BOOKS ARE NOW DIGITAL.
I TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT AND APPRECIATE THEY OFFER THAT.
AND ONE MORE QUESTION. AS A BOARD APPOINTEE WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO GIVE US ANNUAL UPDATES OR PERIODIC UPDATES ON WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH OUR PUBLIC LIBRARIES?
DENISE CAN GET IN TOUCH WITH ME. I LIVE OVER BY CONNOR PRAIRIE SO IT'S NOT HARD TO GET OVER HERE. SO ANYTIME YOU NEED AN UPDATE LET ME KNOW. I WAS GOING TO TRY AND BRING SOME FLIERS WE PUT TOGETHER BUT I DIDN'T MAKE IT BY THE LIBRARY BUT I CAN GET SOME SENT OVER TO THE ADMIN BUILDING.
>> I DO WANT TO SAY AS A FORMER TEACHER I DO KNOW IN THE DISTRICT THAT H EPL IS VERY GOOD AT COLLABORATING WITH OUR SCHOOL STAFF NOW. AND IT HASN'T ALWAYS BEEN THAT WAY VERY GOOD, I LOVE THE EVERY KID GETS A LIBRARY CARD KIND OF THING AND I VERY MUCH AM APPRECIATIVE OF THE WORK OUR PUBLIC LIBRARIES GIVE TO OUR SUCCINCT, SO THANK YOU.
>> THANK YOU AND WE'LL CONTINUE DOING THAT.
>> MM-HMM. >> OKAY, THANK YOU.
WE DO HAVE SOME PUBLIC SPEAKERS ABOUT THIS TOPIC SO I'LL HAVE THEM COME UP. BUT THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR TELLING US MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU DO.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH. OKAY, FIRST UP I HAVE TIFFANY
DR. STOKES, THE HFC SCHOOL BOARD AND MR. MYERS.
AS OUR PUBLIC LIBRARIES EXPAND WE HAVE SOME CONCERNS.
SO THAT WE REQUEST THAT YOU ENSURE YOUR APPOINTMENT TO THE LIBRARY BOARD HAVE THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA.
SOMEONE THAT WILL ADVOCATED FOR QUADRILLION BOOKS AND PROGRAM THAT ARE AGE APPROPRIATE, SOMEONE THAT WILL PROVIDE BOOKS AND PROGRAMS THAT PROMOTE ACADEMIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS SUCH AS VOCABULARY BUILDING AND CRITICAL THINKING THAT WILL BE USED TO RAISE TEST SCORES AND LASTLY SOMEONE THAT WILL SELECT BOOKS AND PROGRAMS THAT WILL MEET THE NEEDS AND VALUES THAT ARE EXPECTED IN THE COMMUNITY AND PREPARE STUDENTS FOR THEIR FUTURE. THANK YOU.
>> OKAY, SHANNON FIELDS. OKAY, LILY HAZARD.
[00:20:07]
IMTO REITERATE THE REQUEST FOR AGE APPROPRIATE MATERIAL FOR THE LIBRARY APPOINTEE. I'M A LITTLE CONCERNED ABOUT ONE PARTICULAR BOOK THAT WAS CALLED --
>> MS. FEETS WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT --
>> MIGHT HAVE POINT OFS TV SHOW AND VIDEO GAME COME WITH A PARENTAL RATING TO HELP GUIDE PARENTS.
I'M ASKING THESE BOOKS BE PUT IN A SPECIAL PLACE.
>> THAT'S NOT ABOUT THE APPOINTEE, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT A SPECIFIC PERSON SO IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THAT WE WOULD GLADLY LISTEN FURTHER, OTHERWISE JUST PLEASE STICK TO THE TOPIC.
>> THE TOPIC IS THAT I WOULD LIKE AGE APPROPRIATE BOOKS IN ALL PUBLIC SCHOOLS, LIBRARIES AND PUBLIC LIBRARIES.
THANK YOU. >> OKAY LILY HAZARD.
GOOD EVENING. I AM A PARENT OF A FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT. I'M HERE TO URGE THE SCHOOL BOARD TO APPOINT A LIBRARY BOARD REPRESENTATIVE THAT WILL PROVIDE TRANSPARENCY AND OPENNESS WITH A FOCUS OF PROVIDING AGE APPROPRIATE RESOURCES TO STUDENTS OF ALL AGES AND TO WORK WITH OUR EDUCATORS TO ALIGN RESOURCES THAT WILL ONCE AGAIN MAKE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IN STUDENT SUCCESS A PRIORITY AS IT ONCE WAS. WE'RE LOOKING FOR AND ASKING FOR ACCOUNTABILITY. ACCORDING TO THE LIBRARY'S WEBSITE ONE OF THE GUIDING PRINCIPLES IS TO ACCEPT AND EMBRACE THE IDEA THAT WE CHANGE EVERY DAY TO RESPOND TO THE NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITY. OUR EDUCATION ENVIRONMENT IS CHANGING. SOME OF THE CHANGE WE'VE SEEN WITHIN OUR DISTRICT ISN'T NECESSARILY GOOD.
OUR KIDS HAVE ACCESS TO LIBRARY MATERIALS THAT FOR MANY PARENTS COULD NOT BE VIEWED AS BEING RESOURCES FOR IMPROVING ACADEMICS LIKE STEM SUBJECT, THE LEAD TO FUTURE CAREER READY NECESSARY AND AS WE FOUND, MANY ARE NOT ABLE APPROPRIATE AS THEY CAN BE CONSIDERED PORNOGRAPHIC. AS A PARENT OF AN IN COMING JUNIOR I'M HAPPY THE SCHOOL BOARD HAS OPENED THE OPPORTUNITY THAT A PARENT CAN BE SELECTED FOR A SEAT ON THE LIBRARY BOARD.
THE DIVERSE BOARD THAT WOULD INCLUDE PARENTS AND THE DISTRICT WILL MAKE FOR A MORE INCLUSIVE AND EQUITABLE BOARD WORKING ON BEHALF OF OUR STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY.
AS A NONPROFIT LARGELY FUNDED BY ME AND OTHER TAXPAYERS IN THE DISTRICT I ASK FOR GREETER TRANSPARENCY REGARDING THE COMMUNICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS FOR CURRENT OPENINGS AND ALL FUTURE BOARD OPENINGS AND AS CIVIL SERVANTS I ASK THAT ALL LIBRARY PROFESSIONALS PURSUE CONTENT THAT IS AGE APPROPRIATE AND FOCUSES ON IMPROVING HACKIC EXCELLENCE AND SUCCESS.
PLEASE BE OPEN TO US. BE TRANSPARENT.
SELECT AGE APPROPRIATE, ACADEMIC RELATED RESOURCES FOR OUR KIDS.
OUR STUDENTS ARE OUR FUTURE. PLEASE DON'T LET THEM DOWN.
>> THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME SPEAK.
I ECHO THAT I TOO AM CONCERNED ABOUT WHO IS ASPOKEN TIE TO THE LIBRARY BECAUSE I DO BELIEVE THAT WE HAVE TO BE CAREFUL AS FAR AS MIXING BOOKS APPROPRIATE IN THE LIBRARY FOR CHILDREN.
I WENT TO THE FISHERS LIBRARY TODAY AND IN THE PICTURE BOOK
SECTION. >> WE'RE TALKING ABOUT A PERSON
WHO'S APPOINTED -- >> BUT WHY ARE YOU AFRAID OF ME SHARING --
>> PLEASE STOP. >> YOU WILL NOT BE A DICTATOR.
I'M A GRANDMOTHER OF 11 CHILDREN, FIVE IN THIS SCHOOL DISTRICT. THIS IS A PICTURE BOOK ABOUT A BOY THAT SAYS WHEN HATE --
